Please take a look at the 2 photos i attached, i wish to call the methods from one project to another. Both projects are in the same solution. I have already made the reference to the project containing the method in the project i want to call the method.

In your main project, go to
Project -> Add Reference
In that window, click browse and find the compiled version of your other project (Probably in the Release or Debug folder)
In your main projects window add this to the very top of your code (even above your class declaration)
Imports SecondProjectRootNamespace
That should give you enough information on how to do what your trying to do, but if anything was unclear, I am going to need all the details to provide a more precise answer.
Also, make sure your methods/functions are NOT declared as private.
Private = Method is only visible from within the same class
Friend = Method is only visible from any class within the same assembly (same .exe or .dll or etc)
Public = Method has no access restrictions
There are a few others but those are the basics
Try to find the dll file of the method that you want, then add it as reference in the properties of your application

I'm used to work with NetBeans and now I'm trying IntelliJ. So my question is: Does IntelliJ has a way to get right class by its methods?
For example, in NetBeans if I write:
glGenBu // Intellisense will kick in and will suggest me
to use GL15.glGenBuffers() method from GL15 class
This will automatically import the right library.
This is very handy because I'm working with LWJGL and it has a bad way to manage OpenGL methods ('GLXX' where XX is the version of OpenGL and all methods that appeared in that version are stored in that class) and I never remember the right class where my desired method is.

I have a problem regarding a public declaration in one project which makes reference to a class in a different project.
The parent project references the dependent project without problem. However, I'm getting a warning that Type member 'user' is not CLS-compliant. It's declared as
Public user As User
this declaration is made in the parent project. User is a class in the supporting project
I can use the type on a form without fail. Now, I try to pass it off on another form - in the parent project:
Private oldUser As User
oldUser = frmUserMgt.user
and the thing crashes. Stepping through the code shows oldUser is nothing.
I built a brand new solution and tested this exchange without fail. I've searched solution and project settings until I'm blue in the face and can't find a difference. It's a VS2012 VB solution. I can post as much code as needed if the above description isn't sufficient - any help will be greatly appreciated.

Long story short: the uic parses the xml that Qt Designer generates (from form you create into the designer) and creates C++ code from that xml, and you need to use that code into your window class, there are many ways you can use that code, see the documentation and using that ui pointer is one of those ways (actually that is a pointer to an instance of a class from the generated code) as for how setupUi actually works you can see into the generated code - short answer is: it creates the form's layouts and widgets as children of this.
I am using some third party software to aid in writing an iPad application using Xcode 4.3.2. The software is open source and is usually set up so its code will be compiled along with whatever code the developer writes for the application. Because I was using the software in numerous places, I decided to build it as a static library for the iOS simulator.
I was able to build the library, and convert one application to link to that library instead of compiling the original source code. However, when I go to run the application on the simulator, I get an error that says, unrecognized selector sent to instance.
I have verified that the program is successfully using portions of the static library. However, there is one piece of code that tries to call a method on an object, and that where the failure occurs. The method being called is not actually defined in the interface of that object. Rather it is provided in an additional module that defines a category for that object's class. The header file for that module is properly included and the compiler should have been able to find the category method and apply it to the object, yet at run time, the error mentioned above occurs.
I used the 'nm' command to verify that the category method exists in the static library. Here is an example of the output:
nm libStaticLibrary.a | grep categoryMethod
00000130 t -[SomeClass(Category) categoryMethod:]
0000354c s -[SomeClass(Category) categoryMethod:].eh
What ideas do people have about how this library can be made to work correctly with the desired application?
Your 3rd party framework is probable using a category on a existing (apple) class. But to load/find the category you need to add the -ObjC flag in the build settings under Other Linker Flags

Here is the best solution:
1) select your project target from the left panel (the folders navigator)
2) select "Build Phases" tap
3) expand "Compile Sources" cell
4) hit the plus button at the bottom and then add your category's .m file
Done!
Note: you have to search for the file by navigating through the folder by your self, don't type the file's name in the search field
I have a PRISM desktop app which loads modules from a directory with the help of the DirectoryModuleCatalog.
Everything is fine, except that I cannot find a way to get the instance of a loaded module.
IModuleManager and IModuleCatalog don't have a method like getInstance(ModuleInfo) or similar.

This line loads the module properly(moduleManager is of type IModuleManager), but what do I have to do next to get the actual instance of this module?
The modules are loaded on demand of the user, so I cannot register all modules at startup within the bootstrapper.
If by Module instance you mean the class that implement IModule, then you must explicitly register the instance into the container to be able to get it.
Although the aforementioned will work, you should not take that approach at all. The idea is that the module classes are specific to a particular module and should only be used for module initialization purposes.
I would place each module's Start method in a separate component (IStartable), register each component in the container with a different Id and resolve/import an IEnumerable to get all instances that have the start method.
