Shortcut to make an action in xcode - xcode6

I very much need the option of clicking ';' in xcode and have it put that at the end of the line where it is needed
for that when I press the ";" I first need to press "shift+enter" to get to the end of the line
is there anything I can do/write in order for the "shift+enter+;" combo to be made automatically upon pressing ";" ?

Open Xcode from menu bar --> Preferences.
Choose Key binding, then search for the key binding or the command that you want to change its shortcut.

Curser/Caret deletes while typing

I've pressed some combination of button by accident and in doing so caused the cursor/caret to stop working properly. When I type in the editor it replaces what I already have with the new text
For instance, if I have
if(this.class()==foo){...}
And I try adding "del" infront of 'this.class()' it comes out as
if(dels.class()==foo){...}
How do I turn this effect off? It's not block cursor or selection mode.
Found out I activated the Insert/overwrite keymap by pressing 'insert'

Unable to type > character in Intellij IDEA

Whenever I am using the Canadian Multilingual Standard Keyboard, I can't type the greater than character which are the keys AltCar + period. A dialog box shows
There are no custom foldings in the current file.
Removing/changing the shortcut for Fold selection/ Remove region in the Keymap did not work. I've also tried to add actionSystem.force.alt.gr=true to bin/idea.properties but I can't apply changes to idea.properties.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Slash (Cmd-Alt-Shift-Slash if you're using Mac OS X), select "Registry" from the menu that appears and enable the "actionSystem.force.alt.gr" checkbox in the menu that appears.
Go to File | Settings | Keymap. On the top of the screen, in a dropdown box you will see that one of the default keymap is selected. You need to make a copy of it. This is important becasue you can't change the default keymaps. To copy it, click on the Copy button on the right of the dropdown box and name your new layout however you want.
Now, with your new Keymap selected, search for the "Custom Fo...". Right click on any shortcut that is mapped to either Alt+. or Ctrl+Alt+. to delete it. Hit OK and you should be good to go.

Remove all breakpoints in IntelliJ IDEA

Is there a possibility to remove all breakpoints in the module (might be using a shortcut) in IntelliJ IDEA IDE? Thanks.
Ctrl+Shift+F8
is using for removing all breakpoints.
Select upper breakpoint -> Ctrl+Shift+End -> Remove
On Mac Os use this:
Cmd + Shift + (Fn) + F8 on Mac OS
To remove all breakpoints in IntelliJ Idea press following sequence of shortcuts:
Ctrl+Shift+F8 (open Breakpoints dialog)
Ctrl+A (select all breakpoint)
Alt+Delete (remove selected breakpoints)
Enter (confirm)
If you press Ctrl+Shift+F8 and your cursor is at code line with breakpoint, instead of Breakpoint dialog you get bubble with properties of a single breakpoint.
To get the Breakpoints dialog press Ctrl+Shift+F8 again.
Tested in IntelliJ Idea 14 Community Edition.
In case of Mac, follow below steps:
cmd+Shift+F8 (open Breakpoints dialog)
cmd+A (select all breakpoint)
cmd+Delete (remove selected breakpoints)
Enter (confirm)
Unlike Alt+Delete in windows, It's cmd+Delete in Mac
As an alternative, instead of removing all breakpoints, you can just mute them. This will help in the case that you want to stop breaking on all of them. They will still exist, so you can toggle this setting again to start breaking on them.
The mute breakpoints button can be found in the Debug view (view can be toggled using View -> Tool Windows -> Debug), in the left-hand side button menu. I attached a screenshot below.
As mentioned in this answer the shortcut works.
But we tend to forget the combination of keys (I do).
There exists another way to access breakpoints window.
Clicking on this button will open breakpoints window.
Here is one of my trick to remove all breakpoints of a page:
Ctrl+A : select all code
Ctrl+X : cut all codes
Ctrl+V : paste all code
this trick removes all breakpoints at one go and it takes less than a second.
On a Mac you need Shift + Comand + F8
press ctrl+shift+f8 and select check box of which you want to remove and then press minus button in left upper corner in android studio 2.2

Dreamweaver shortcut to swap between source and dependent files

Dreamweaver (CS 5.5) displays source code and dependent files as sub-tabs (?).
You can swap between tabs control+shift+tab, but how to swap between source and dependent files?
This issue has bothered me for a long time now, and I am pleased to say I have found a partial solution to it. There is no keyboard shortcut for switching between related (dependent) files, however there is a shortcut called "Go to Source Code", which by default is Ctrl+Alt+`.
Optional: This shortcut (and any other shortcut) can also be edited via the "Keyboard Shortcuts" menu which can be found under the "Edit" tab. To do so, from within said menu, choose the "Dreamweaver Standard" as the "Current set", and click the most left button amongst the 4 buttons at the top, called "Duplicate set". This will allow you to create a duplicate set of Shortcuts, with a name of your choice. Once that's done, you will be able to find the "Go to Source Code" shortcut by selecting "Document editing" from the "Commands" select box. This shortcut should be the second last. To change the keyboard sequence for it, click on it, insert a new "Press key", click the "Change" button and then the "OK" button to accept the changes.
As for switching to related files, this can be done via View->Related Files. This is clearly not nearly as instant as using a designated keyboard shortcut, but remember, the issue was having to use the mouse in order to switch to related files, and this method allows you to do so by using the keyboard alone (Alt+arrows).

Xcode question: Quickly jump to a particular selector/class/symbol?

What is the quickest way to jump to a particular symbol/selector/class in Xcode? (I'm looking for keyboard shortcuts preferably).
Right now, I know two ways of doing this:
“Open Quickly” > Click on the Symbols dropdown menu at the top of the editor > Select the selector to jump to it.
Click on “Project Symbols” in the “Groups and Files” section on the left sidebar, and type in a name in the Search text field in the top right of the XCode window.
Is there a quicker way of doing this? (If I could even assign a shortcut to jump to the “Project Symbols”, that would suffice for me. Alternatively, if I can find a keyboard shortcut to jump to the symbol dropdown above an editor that would do it to).
For experienced Xcode programmers, what do you use to jump to a symbol?
In Xcode 3.2, the "Open Quickly" command (Shift-Control-D) lets you type in selectors and class names as well as file names. This would at least get you close to what you wanted.
Your idea about using the "Symbols" drop-down also works. You can use the keystroke Control-2 to bring up the Symbols drop-down menu, and then use the arrow keys, or start typing the name of the method that you want to reach.
Edit: In Xcode 4, the "Symbols" drop-down appears when pressing Control-6. You can change this in the Xcode settings by changing the key binding for "Standart Editor > Show Document Items".
If you're looking at the symbol in a source file and want to jump to its definition, ⌘-click it.
(command + double click) on your symbol/selector/class in any place of your implementation to jump to them
(option + double click) on framework classes/selectors to jump to their reference in help->documentation
One (arguably crude) way to do it seems to be as follows:
This is based on the fact that the Search field at the top right of the Xcode window seems to change behavior depending on what is selected in the Groups & Files sidebar.
Select “Project Symbols” in the “Groups & Files” sidebar
Press ⌥⌘F (That is Command+Option+F) to jump to the Search field
Enter the symbol to jump to, and an outline will quickly show up
(this will remain in effect until you click on something else in the Groups & Files sidebar)
