My codename one is not updating when I run the update from the Netbeans plugins update option. It does the whole update process but once it finishes and restarts I find it still set to the old version and asking for an update. Am using Netbeans 7.4 and trying to update from version: 1.0.78 to version: 1.0.79.
This is a known issue with .79. It shouldn't be a problem since that version is only a minor bug fix release for older versions of NetBeans.

I am trying to upgrade from Typo3 6.2 to a later version (to be determined). When I run the Core Update in the install tool the 'Fetched list of released versions' works, however, it is then followed by a 'General error'. In the log, this is the error:
Core: Exception handler (WEB): Uncaught TYPO3 Exception: #1380898792: No version matrix found in registry, call updateVersionMatrix() first. | TYPO3\CMS\Install\Service\Exception\CoreVersionServiceException thrown in file /home/usr/public_html/typo3/sysext/install/Classes/Service/CoreVersionService.php in line 271. I have looked around for ages and can't find a fix that works. I will be very grateful for any help, please.
I don't think that you can update such an old Version by the install-tool update mechanism any more. since that version a lot has changed.
newer versions of 6.2 are only available as paid service (ELTS) from the TYPO3 GmbH.
And I think the server structure also changed meanwhile so that old ULRs might fail.
your way of update should be a manual update to (any outdated version of) 7 LTS, then the same for 8 LTS until you come to 9 LTS and 10 LTS
on each version do the upgrade wizards and fresh up the extensions if possible (including the upgrade wizards of the extensions).
individual extensions need their own updates.
use the deprecation log on each version to identify possible failures for the next TYPO3 version.
somewhere between you might change the installation to composer installation, which will result in a cleaner update way (if you are familiar with composer). for the future it will be very helpful to understand composer.
I upgraded the mettermost version from 4.4.1 to 4.5.
However, I got the error...
So, I tried to downgrade the version to 4.4.1, but the mattermost said "The database schema of the older version isn't supported".
Does anyone know how we should modify the database schema.
※browser: FireFox ESR 52
Unfortunately you can't downgrade a Mattermost install to a previous version through any officially supported path. You will need to revert to the database backup from before the upgrade in order to go back to version 4.4.
However, for the specific versions in question (reverting from 4.5 to 4.4) it is possible to do a downgrade as there are no database schema changes between these two versions. You will need to run the following SQL command in your Mattermost database:
UPDATE Systems SET Value='4.4.0' WHERE Name='Version';
You should then be able to run Mattermost 4.4.1 successfully on that database.
I am currently working from Mono Version 3.2.8 and am running into trouble finding any documentation on this version. I have no idea what code will run until after I get the exceptions. Either a compatibility list to what works or an idea of what version I can compile that works would be great. Any one have experience with this?
You can manually install the latest version. I was easily able to install
Mono version 4.6.2 on Raspbian.
The http://www.mono-project.com/docs/ site gives a general answer for which major libraries work. Letting you know when there isn't full compatibility but doesn't give specifics.
I am trying to run my pharo2.0 application on CentoOS which was previously been installed in a mac. The original version is pharo2.0 so I need to run the same image CentoOS too, but I get an error which says this below :
/lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by xxxxx)
Should I be trying to upgrade the CentoOS and see if pharo2.0 works or port my whole application to a later version of pharo?
There is now a VM build especially for systems with an older libc version. In fact there is a build for Centos specifically (which has a slight variation in linkages from Debian), the latest version of which is permalinked here. See http://pharo.org/download#custom for more info.
Just installed Yosemite and when I run brew doctor I get:
Warning: Your Xcode (6.0.1) is outdated
Please update to Xcode 6.1.
Xcode can be updated from the App Store.
But in the AppStore it looks like XCode 6.0.1 is the latest version. What's the best way to correct this?
Tis that slight lag between 10.10 being Avail and xcode getting updated. If you read the top of brew doctor output it says
Please note that these warnings are just used to help the Homebrew maintainers
with debugging if you file an issue. If everything you use Homebrew for is
working fine: please don't worry and just ignore them. Thanks!
So if everything is working, then you should do what it suggests and ignore it. The command line tools / compilers where updated for 10.10 (software update should have picked them up for you). Are you running into any issues with compiling? or just that warning.
pulling up from the comments. Your ruby and postgresql issues are from the upgrade, but it isn't really brews fault, or that compiler error warning.
with rvm just reinstall your ruby. My main dev is done with ruby-2.1.3 so
rvm reinstall ruby-2.1.3
rebuilt ruby and all my gems. The problem is that the ssl libs (maybe others) that ruby was linked to were removed / replaced in the upgrade to 10.10. The reinstall will rebuild and relink to the newer correct libs.
postgresql is slightly different. Apparently during the upgrade a couple of empty directories in /usr/local/var/postgres get removed. No idea why.
see this SO answer for how to fix that.
`pg_tblspc` missing after installation of latest version of OS X (Yosemite or El Capitan)
also if you are use pow (http://pow.cx) you will need to upgrade it to the latest version as 10.10 removed ipfw completely and only leaves pf as the firewall. so you will need to the new version which uses pf anchors.
The above steps where all I needed to do it in order to get my dev back to working.
Looks like developer.apple.com does show an XCode 6.1 as "Available Shortly" as of Fri, Oct 17, at 10pm central time. Not yet available from the AppStore. I guess I'm just too eager for an update.
