Is there any option to remove uploaded file in Primefaces fileupload? - file-upload

Do we have any option to remove/delete option in Fileupload in prime faces. Because if, we uploaded a file by mistake how can we remove that file from the attachments? I think primefaces are intelligent enough to give this option. If not do we have any other way to do it?

As far as I know, primeface Fileupload does provide that intelligent option. Therefore, you should not use temporary folder(<init-param><param-name>uploadDirectory</param-name><param-value>/Users/primefaces/temp</param-value></init-param>), but you should implement the logic to save the file
contents yourself at your backing bean.

How to separate the latest file from Multiple files in Mule

I have 5000 files in a folder and on daily basis new file keep loaded in same file. I need to get the latest file only on daily basis among all the files.
Will it be possible to achieve the scenario in Mule out of box.
Tried keeping file component inside Poll component( To make use of waterMark) but not working.
Is there any way we can achieve this. If not please suggest the best way ( Any possible links).
Mule Studio: 5.3, RunTime 3.7.2.
Thanks in advance
Short answer: Not really any extremely quick out of the box solution. But there are other ways. Im not saying this is the right or only way of solving it, but I've earlier implemented a similar scenario in this way:
A Normal File inbound with a database table as file-log. Each time a new file is processed, a component checks if its name appears in the table. By choice or filter I only continue if it isn't in there already - and after processing I add the filename to the table.
This is a quite "heavy" solution though. A simpler access would be to use an idempotent filter with a object store. For example a Redis server: https://github.com/mulesoft/redis-connector/blob/master/src/test/resources/redis-objectstore-tests-config.xml
It is actually very simple if your incoming file contains timestamp........you can configure the file inbound connector by setting file:filename-regex-filter pattern="myfilename_#[function:timestamp].csv". I hope this helps
May be you can use a quartz scheduler( mention the time in cron expression), followed by a groovy script in which you can start the file connector . Keep the file connector in another flow.

Reading and writing Hippo content

What is the best way to read and write Hippo content programmaticaly? I want to build a migration tool that writes some pages and binary files to Hippo. I am now using the JCR API to create nodes in the repo, is there any better approach?
Have you tried:
http://import-tool.forge.onehippo.org/
(you can checkout source code and use it as a reference if needed)
Another one you could check is:
https://forge.onehippo.org/svn/restimporter/
(no documentation other than:
https://forge.onehippo.org/svn/restimporter/trunk/README.txt
)

How do you edit .tmp file removal settings?

Using Struts 2: when will the .tmp file - that gets created after uploading a file - be deleted?
How can you customize when the .tmp file should be deleted? Do you have to create a copy of it?
Please don't be shy to give some code :)
1. This depends on which version of S2 you're talking about.
S2.2.1 and prior: the file upload interceptor deleted temp files.
S2.2.3 and above: the filter dispatchers start the deletion process, changed due to WW-3490.
2. Assuming you're using a recent version, it might be possible to inject a tweaked Dispatcher, although it's not immediately obvious how–if it is, that's the easiest change at the core level.
The easiest approach from a practical standpoint is to copy files in the action, which is also pretty fast on any reasonable file system.

Make application 'single file' and get rid of XML config file

I have this pretty simple application, it uses a webService to transfer data to my servers DataBase. Now it is very important for me to keep this application as one single file, and not having some XML files needed for it to work, but this is the case. I think the XML file holds the information to this webService, so without it the application crashes. Is there a way to get the application to work without this XML file, or a way to put the XML inside the exe archive?
Any way to accomplish this is much appreciated.
It sounds like what you want to do is invoke a web service programmatically (without a Visual-Studio-added web reference). Another potentially useful link here.
I imagine all of the configuration settings that exist in an app.config file can be hard-coded in one way or another, the various config sections will just require varying degrees of ingenuity to make it happen.

Handling File Access when a file is in use

Since there's no way to reliably check if a file is in use before trying to access it, is it advisable to just make continuous attempts at moving/deleting/reading them until the action is succesful?
Hope this one helps... [it is in C#... and not the most elegant way of doing this, but still check it out] http://www.dotnetscraps.com/dotnetscraps/post/FileInUse.aspx
It depends on the language/operating system you're using. Most languages have some sort of method to check if file is available for opening; another thing you can do is to try to open the file and catch the exception if it is open. Finally, if you're solely intending to read from a file, you may be able to open it anyway.
