Redhat "httpd" can not start anymore. Showing "suEXEC" and "SELinux" notices - apache

I'm on RHEL 6.5 and Apache 2.2.15. When i now restart the HTTPD, i can not start that httpd anymore. Showing following things in the /var/log/httpd/error_log:

Actually i have already disabled the SELinux.
What should i do please?


Check with: getenforce if SELinux is really disabled, it has to show: Disabled.
If it's not then change in /etc/selinux/config: SELINUX=disabled, to be sure you can reboot your system but setenforce 0 should also be working.
When confident that SELinux is disabled then your problem is not related to SELinux. Httpd is telling you in the log that it would be running with the context unconfined_u:system_r:httpd_t:s0, but since SELinux is disabled there is no way that this is enforced.

This is my first time setting up a site on AWS, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure whether Apache is running or not by issuing the below command:
ps ax | grep httpd | grep -v grep
or try to visit your index.html page.
Also, just for your reference, webmin was dropped by Ubuntu https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WebMin

Centos httpd apache http server fails to start

I have open stack running and it was working fine I've rebooted and since have been unable to restart httpd

Have you made any configuration changes? Does just rebooting the system is causing the issue? The error log does not showing any error.Can you enable the 'debug' level logging and try to restart your httpd service? and share the logs.
From the logs it seems you apache was started but immediately after few seconds it's shutdown.So,something is causing this shutdown.Have you configured any cron job for such service?

Turns out SSLSessionCache was causing the issue
I had to go into /etc/httpd/conf.d ssl.conf
and comment out
#SSLSessionCache shmcb:/run/httpd/sslcache(512000)

Apache httpd, starts but failed. Fedora 19 and webmin

I have a problem start apache from webmin, it works but webmin not registre it's running. And the log shows this failed.
In running procsses it work, and the testpages running on the server.

Apache version 2.4.6
Webmin 1.660
What to do. please help?

Apache wont start with Passenger

After adding the ff lines on httpd.conf

Check the file permission on /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/passenger-3.0.13/agents/PassengerWatchdog and make sure that your apache user has permission to run it.

I'm not an expert in SELinux, but that's the cause of your problem. (Permissions and access to the watchdog process as the apache user).

Apache won't start after memcache installation

I installed memcache on my Ubuntu 10.04 machine but when it comes to restarting apache it gives me an error. My main root is /var/www/ and there is only index.php file in it.
Everything was working before installing memcache.
This is what I did.
Help please

You have to be root. You may want to use sudo when starting Apache.
