I'm having an issue implementing a custom build definition. I've tried most of the solutions I've found online, but no luck here. The spot I'm currently stuck at seems to be with this line of code, where I can't seem to win.
xmlns:mtbc="clr-namespace:Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client;assembly=Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
This creates the messy error
TF215097: An error occurred while initializing a build for build definition \LeanTesterSoftware\TSS_src1.0_test: The build process failed validation. Details: Validation Error: The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "DropBuild AndAlso BuildDetail.Reason = Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client.BuildReason.ValidateShelveset". But if I remove the versioning:
xmlns:mtbc="clr-namespace:Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client;assembly=Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client"
I get
TF215097: An error occurred while initializing a build for build definition \LeanTesterSoftware\TSS_src1.0_test: The build process failed validation. Details: Validation Error: The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "BuildDetail". Option Strict On disallows implicit conversions from 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client.IBuildDetail' to 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Client.IBuildDetail'.
Any thoughts?
EDIT:
The build machine is running TFS2010, VS2012, VS2010 and VS2005.
Not exactly answering the question here, but after a couple of days playing with this, here is what I've gotten.
Visual Studio + TFS Build definitions don't mix very well. VS adds a lot of extra code and things can get messy. To avoid this, here is what I've gathered:
-There is a lot of conflicting (in other words 100% opposite) claims across the net. You can try playing with those and you'll be able to make some progress.
-What may work out to be the best is to start with two default build templates
--Edit one via VS. Throw in your custom activity, open up the codeview and find the changes (dependencies, plus the actual call).
--Manually implement those changes in your second version, ommitting anything to do with SAP2010, etc.
Best of luck to anyone else working through this!

Here I am again, struggling with kotlin.
Background: I am trying at the moment to upgrade an existing API to Java 17 and Kotlin 1.6.10.
But after building the project now, I got following error:
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Usage of default value argument for this annotation is not yet possible.
Please specify value for 'DelimitedEnumSet.delimiter' explicitly
I am pretty sure the error must be somewhere here:
#JsonQualifier
#Retention(AnnotationRetention.RUNTIME)
internal annotation class DelimitedEnumSet(val delimiter: String = " ")
The Stacktrace is not really helpful, so I am not 100% sure
I have been getting a massive error recently, upon Running any of my flutter applications in Intellij, Visual Studio, etc. I cannot perform git functions because of it either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's honestly a little hard to tell what's going on from just that error message. Do any errors show up in intellij before you build?
The only things I can think of are:
your flutter installation might be corrupted. You could try deleting and re-installing
your build directory might have something wrong. Try running flutter clean before building again
your libraries aren't being included properly. I'd assume this would show up in intellij, but maybe the paths are set differently there? Check Project Structure -> Libraries and see where the paths are set there.
(related to first) you might have multiple instances of flutter on your computer. If intellij is using one while the command line is using another that could potentially cause problems.
If your app happens to be open-source, or you're able to make a new app with the minimum amount of changes to reproduce the error, that would help significantly with diagnosing the problem =).
I am getting this error again and again in silver light code .It says, The invocation of the constructor on type "LookupControl.SilverCrmLookup" that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception. Though there is no error in code .
Check your XAML there must be something wrong in there ..
I get the following compilation error in Monodevelop:
Error CS0121: The call is ambiguous between the following methods or properties:
'System.Linq.Enumerable.ToArray<AudioBitrateCalculationStream>(this System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<AudioBitrateCalculationStream>)' and
'System.Linq.Enumerable.ToArray<AudioBitrateCalculationStream>(this System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<AudioBitrateCalculationStream>)' (CS0121)
Both definitions are exactly the same. I cannot understand what the issue is. Internet search does not help.
Is there a list of COM error codes somewhere?

From Standard COM Errors (at least for Microsoft Commerce Server):
The following table shows the most common standard COM errors returned
by the properties and methods of the Commerce Server objects:
Constant Value (32-bit) Description
S_OK 00000000 The standard return value used to communicate successful completion.
S_FALSE 00000001 An alternate success value, typically used to communicate successful, but non-standard completion. The precise meaning depends on the method or property in question.
E_UNEXPECTED 8000FFFF Catastrophic failure error.
E_NOTIMPL 80004001 Not implemented error.
E_OUTOFMEMORY 8007000E Out of memory error.
E_INVALIDARG 80070057 One or more arguments are not valid error.
E_NOINTERFACE 80004002 Interface not supported error.
