Long shot here but does anyone know if CSCART can provide a customer with a trade account to only purchase products in increments of 6 while keeping it ad 1 for non trade customers.
By default you can not achieve this on the same storefront.
So I see two possible solutions:
1) Use 2 different storefronts (for wholesales & retail customers) - in this case you can set separate setting values for each store. Moreover in this case you will be able to set different product descriptions/price rules etc.
2) Make a modification.

I am very new to E-Commerce World.
I have a use case scenario that I want to Implement in Oracle NetSuite.
But I am not sure how to move forward with it.
Use-Case Scenario:
A Sales Order has a few Line Items & Among them, a few are out of stock.
The 3PL currently I am dealing with accepts only one Unique Sales Order ID as an Identifier.
I want to fulfill the items that are currently in stock and Later on, when the Inventory gets updated I want to fulfill the remaining Items back-ordered in the Sales Order.
But the fulfillment should happen only after the customer has paid for the Items.
Can anyone let me know? How can I achieve this?
Thank you.
You will probably need some customisation to achieve this. I don't know the full set of processes you're working with, but as a general approach, I would suggest the following:
Set up a payment term that says the customer must prepay.
Set up a script to run on your fulfilments, handle "prepay" customers.
You'll also want to check your settings in Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences > Order Management. Look for the option on sales orders and fulfilment. You'll probably want to default your fulfilment to available quantity only. You may want to prevent overage on your fulfilments.
When the script executes on your fulfilment, it should execute "before load". The script will need to check the sales order it's fulfilling. If the term is "prepay", the script should then check if a payment has been made against the sales order. You'll potentially need to consider deposits and paid invoices. If the script finds no payments, then it should block the fulfilment.
I'm working on the assumption that you will create a fulfilment with a "Picked" status to send to your warehouse. When they confirm the "goods-out", you will want some sort of feedback loop from your 3PL to set the fulfilment to "Shipped" and update your tracking numbers.
I hope this helps.

I am in the process of building a e-commerce website for a small local grocery chain to allow their customers to order online and pickup at store. I will be integrating with the in-store POS system to pull the category & product data and push back the order data.
As I am new to Prestashop I am wondering if the following setup is possible out-of-the-box:
The POS system uses price zones which can be shared by stores (e.g. price_zone_1 is used by the 3 stores in San Francisco for pricing, price_zone_2 is used by 2 stores in Los Angeles for pricing).
The POS system have a pricezone_productprice table
product_id pricezone_id price
1 1 14
1 2 12
Then there is store_stock table
product_id store_id stock
1 1 98
1 2 45
And the store table has a pricezone foreign key that ties everything together
store_id pricezone_id
1 2
2 1
I need to have a similar setup on the Prestashop side to exchange data and display correct pricing and stock information for different stores.
Is such a structure/feature available out-of-the-box? If not are you aware of any module that might help with this? And finally if nothing is available how feasible do you think this is to develop under prestashop?
I explored multistore feature but as far as I understand that would not do what I am looking for as it separates order history, etc. I want customers to be able to see their order history from different stores in one page.
This might deserve an entire Override for Product Class with a Module. But honestly, you should better do a multishop website based on the zone you want to deliver, then ask the client when he enters the website.
It will cost you 10 minutes and fine tuning instead of hours of dev and lot's of debug.
If you still want to use a Module, just overide Product class and following methods : getPriceStatic and getProductPrice
NB : Another idea would be to consider price by ... country and tell each as a separate one. But this can be dangerous :).
Greetings.
I am working on a eCommerce website based on shopify. And for product I want to set a custom price. For example, The standard price of product is $500 but price will vary if user increased the quantity i.e. On 5 - 10 it will cost $450, On 11 - 15 it will cost $400 and on 20+ quantity it will cost $300.
I have searched module for this and also found a module i.e. https://apps.shopify.com/quantity-breaks. But its working on the basis of "Percent" that I don't need. Because I want to place price manually on the basis of quantity.
So please help me out from this and provide your valuable thoughts on the same.
Thanks in advance.
The way this is generally done in Shopify is to create variants where the option values are the price breaks. You have to modify your theme so that when a Qty > price break is entered the product page selects the variant that corresponds to that price level.
Other than the coding portion of this the main issue becomes inventory management since Shopify treats each variant as a separate inventory item but if you use variants to manage price breaks they are not actually separate items.
I think the easiest way to do this would be with a Shopify App. There are many that have price breaks etc. and they are usually easier to set up than using variants as the price break amounts.
My primary business is pre-orders, and this is how it works:
I list an item for sale.
My customers order the item. Their credit card is authorized but not charged.
Once a minimum number of orders are placed, the customers are charged, and the buy is live.
If, after a specified amount of time, the minimum is not reached, all orders are cancelled.
What i would like to do is this:
Specify the minimum number of orders needed for a particular item in the backend. (not 100% needed, but it would be nice).
Display the total number of pre-orders on the product page, so that my customers know how many are left before the buy is live (it would be great to show it in the following format: 23/50 Ordered).
Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, can you please explain to me what I need to do in order to make this happen?
Thanks!
P.S. - In case it doesn't show up, I'm using Bigcommerce
Store the minimum needed as a custom field & set the initial inventory to that same number. You'll also need to allow inventory to be displayed for pre-orders, though you can hide it from display if you'd like (we only want it present in the DOM).
As the products are pre-ordered, inventory will decrement. Use javascript to subtract the number left in inventory from the original number (the custom field) and display in the ProductDetails.html panel.
I've been trying to create variant options which also have prices on a Shopify theme, and represent them by checkboxes. So end user can select multiple options with additional prices. But shopify has limitations on this as far as I noticed.
Let's say the product is 'personal computer' with fixed price £500, and it has options like 'graphic card - £30', 'processor - £40', 'sound card - £15', 'sound card - £30'. As you've noticed there can be multiple options with different prices in addition to the main product price. And as I would like to use checkboxes, users can select min 1 max all of them.
I don't want to use the Shopify app for this but it seems there is no other choice, unfortunately.
I think you would prefer to organize it like this.
make a personal computer product. it costs 500
make a graphics card product. it costs 30
make a processor product. it costs 40
make a sound card product. it costs 15, 30 or whatever.
Now present all four products on a page so the customer can check off one or more of those products. The ones they check off go into the cart.
You get inventory control that way. You can also price each product up to 100 different ways.
You do not need an App to go this route. It works.
