Just started today. Was working just fine a couple days ago. Haven't installed anything on this system since last use.
Have already rebuilt Python 2.6 and Yum 3.4.3. Still same errors as above. Any ideas?

Clear the repo cache and rebuild it
yum clean all
yum update

Run this:
sudo su
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib64:/usr/local/lib
yum clean all
yum update yum
I think this fixes it. It worked for me.

There are so many error messages that I have no idea where from I should start. Any help? The installation should be straightforward, I don't know what's going on. Trying to fix the package (or setup.py thereof) manually is futile. I'm using Python 3.8.10.
Any hints will be much appreciated.
The easiest solution I found to solve this issue in one of my Dockerfile is simply to use apt-get install -y python3-petsc4py-complex.
(If you want/have the petsc real version, use apt-get install -y python3-petsc4py-real instead).
From those who are interested, the same idea can be applied for slepc with apt-get install -y python3-slepc4py-complex.
Feel free to tell me if it works ! If not, I will try on a new Dockerfile to solve this.

mysql-python won't install on MacOS

So I have tried multiple ways to install mysql-python and MYSQLdb. I have tried downloading through this link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mysql-python/ and then when I run python setup.py install I get the following errors:

I could not find a resolution that worked so I tried pip install mysql-python and then I get the following

When I look this problem up I tried running:
pip install --upgrade setuptools
pip install ez_setup
easy_install -U setuptools
With no problems, but then when I tried rerunning the command pip install mysql-python I get the same error as before. I tried downloading the mysqlclient and the mysql/python connector and nothing is working. I just want a fix for trying to install mysql-python, mysqlclient, MYSQLdb, mysql/python connector or anything that will actually work. I already have mysql installed and running as well as Sequel Pro.
I could solve the issue by running the combination of #Devstr an #jsteele. I realized that the python module to connect from python to mysql is not mysql but ```mysql-connector``.
Follow these steps:
brew cask install mysql-connector-python
pip search mysql-connector | grep --color mysql-connector-python
pip install mysql-connector-python-rf
then in python:
import mysql.connector
...
found some useful info: What's the difference between MySQLdb, mysqlclient and MySQL connector/Python?
Maybe use brew?
brew cask install mysql-connector-python

Pandas not installing in 64 bit windows

The problem is that you are trying to install Pandas as a regular user, and therefore cannot change the contents of Anaconda installation folder (where Python installed packages live). You need to run CMD or PowerShell (whichever you are using) as an administrator. Right-click on its shortcut in the start menu and click "Run as administrator", then run again the same command.
Try to use Anaconda package manager - conda instead of pip:
C:\> conda install pandas

This looks like there are two issues with yum and your repositories.
First I see the message:
No Presto metadata available for base Delta RPMs reduced 3.6 M of
updates to 798 k (78% saved)
Try running the following command on the host that you are trying to add as a datanode to fix the first issue:
sudo yum clean all
Then see if you can perform this command successfully:
sudo yum -v install hadoop_2_3_*
If you get to the prompt that asks if you want to install (y/n) then it was successful, choose the no option, and retry the add datanode action from Ambari. If you get an error or some failure take a look at the verbose output to troubleshoot the problem further.

Plone ldap add on installation issue

I am trying to get ldap authentication to work on Plone version 4.2. I have hammered at the issue for several hours without results. I have even tried these steps:
Install python-ldap 2.6 (C:\Python26)
Install Plone 4.2 with the installer (D:\Plone)
Edit buildout.cfg with plone.app.ldap in the EGG and ZCML section
Create a new folder called python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg in D:\Plone\buildout-cache\eggs\
Copy C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg-info to D:\Plone\buildout-cache\eggs\python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg\ and rename to EGG-INFO
Also copy the ldap folder in C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\ to D:\Plone\buildout-cache\eggs\python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg\
Also copy the file ldapurl.py to C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\ to D:\Plone\buildout-cache\eggs\python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg\
Next copy:
folder: C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg-info
folder: C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\ldap
to D:\Plone\python\Lib\site-packages
Start commandbox and run bin\buildout
Start Plone, log in as admin and go to the extra products section. Here you will find the LDAP product. Install it and enter you LDAP details.
None of that really helped. When i try bin/buildout, I get the following message:

What am i doing wrong? Help wil be deeply appreciated
Your buildout ran successfully, there were no problems there. Some of the packages you picked were not pinned, so your buildout reported what versions it choose for you.
Your server itself is not indeed running because the Python LDAP egg you installed seems to be incorrectly installed. The buildout-cache/eggs/python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg/ldap/_ldap.so library file is missing.
Remove the whole egg (rm -rf buildout-cache-eggs/python_ldap-2.3.12-py2.6.egg) make sure you have the OpenLDAP 2.x library and headers installed on your system (on Ubuntu and Debian the libldap2-dev should be enough). Then re-run buildout to reinstall the egg.
Alternatively, you could try and install the system python-ldap package (remove the egg) and see if buildout picks that up instead.
You need to install 2 libs:
sudo apt-get install libldap2-dev
sudo apt-get install libsasl2-dev
Hope that will help.
