change cell styling in KendoGrid - asp.net-mvc-4

Just discovered the KendoGrid and was trying to change the style of an individual column(cell) after changing another cellvalue. For example I have a grid with a shipname and shipcity column. Suppose I have a business rule that says :
'Make shipcity cell value disabled when the shipname on the same row has the same value'
I found this sample which uses the blur event which I probably use, what would be a good way of implementing this rule?
Also nice to know your opinion in relation to asp.net mvc integration.

You can try the updated fiddle example here

Basically conditional editor templates are not supported out of the box. You have two options.
Either use the edit event of the Grid find the editor inside e.containder and disable it the way it needs to be (if using Kendo widget use the enable(false) method, or add the readonly attribute if regular input).
The other options is to define custom editor like demonstrated in this JsBin example.

vuetify pagination add custom features (slot/template)

I'm using the VueJS Vuetify framework and I need a pagination option with more features then the basic one available.
what am i looking for:
an option to add custom names (not just numbers)
a tooltip over the buttons
to disable/enable just some of the buttons
pagination - meaning: use next, previous and "..." if there are too many pages
if the pagination had a template option (slot) that would of been perfect.
now i am wondering how is the best why to get my goal. is there a way to add templates to vuetify? is there a different component that has this options on the pagination?
Read the api here In answer to your questions:
1+2+3 This is not supported in vuetify out of the box and therefore you may want to consider writing your own pagination tool or looking for a different package.
4. This can be set in the props as described in the docs above, see total-visible prop and length.

Aurelia popover checkbox checked.bind not reflecting on the view model

We have implemented checkbox in popover. There we are using checked.bind , but in the view model its not reflecting its value on change of the checkboxes.
Sample Gist Run Provided below:
Gist Run
Thanks in Advance
Programmatically injected HTML needs to be compiled manually
The integration with bootstrap I provided to you earlier cannot do this. The bootstrap plugin assigns the innerHTML property of the popover and it does this outside of aurelia's rendering pipeline. The HTML is therefore not compiled by aurelia, which is why bindings (and other aurelia behaviors) will not work.
The templating framework takes care of this for you automatically as long as you are following conventions (such as custom elements). In any other case you'll need to manually work with the ViewCompiler.
In case you're interested, you can see an example with programmatically generated HTML in this gist. Also see this question if you want to know more about it. I do not recommend it in this scenario however.
Use aurelia-dialog
A tooltip (or popover) is just that: a tip on how to use the tool. It should not need more than some plain markup, text and styling (of course this is subjective to some degree, and some people may disagree)
For collecting user input in-between pages or screens, I'd argue a modal dialog is a better fit because of its property to "pop out" more and to de-emphasize the rest of the screen until the user either proceeds or cancels.
More importantly, by using aurelia-dialog your bindings and behaviors will simply work because, well, it's an aurelia plugin :-)

xpages view picklist custom control

I am using mark t hughes view picklist custom control from open NTF.
Link to control on openNTF
I have set all the paramenters etc, however when I load the page with the control on, I get my custom error page, and the error below in my error logging database
Error on dialog1button5999 null property/event:
1:
Script interpreter error, line=1, col=35: [ReferenceError]
'compositeData' not found
compositeData.picklistButtonClass + " domfindmebutton5999"
This is trying to set the styleClass of a button in the custom control here:
<xp:this.styleClass><![CDATA[#{javascript:compositeData.picklistButtonClass + " domfindmebutton5999"}]]></xp:this.styleClass>
I am also definately passing this parameter is with the default code:
picklistButtonClass="button2"
I also followed the video Here to the letter, and still get exactly the same issue.
Has anyone come across this before or have any pointers as to where I should be looking to resolve it? Im not sure where to start, as all the instructions and video's explain how to complete the custom properties of the control, but there is never any mention of a need to actually modify any code WITHIN the custom control....
Thanks
(as a side note, I am using bootstrap, should this make any difference)
This is because of the theme definition. Look at the Mark Leusink's blog entry here. http://linqed.eu/2014/08/28/xpages-gotcha-modeconcat-in-your-themes/
If a theme has a "concat" definition, that will be computed at a very early phase. To concat values, it needs to compute the initial value. However, in some cases (e.g. Repeat, Custom control, etc.), the initial value cannot be computed at the page-load section.
For such cases, you can override the theme with a special themeId, as Mark suggested.

How do I customize the Ext.grid.RowBodyFeature of ExtJS 4.0?

I have implemented the getAdditionalData in ExtJS's grid.panel.
I have it showing the extra information but I want to style the extra row. Basically make the font smaller, etc.
Other than wrapping my data in span tags, is there another way to alter the style for those rows?
Thanks.
I found the answer. It was just easier to use a custom renderer.

Dojo Grid Template

In asp.net the DataGrid supports templates. You can provide your own template and have the grid fill the data in your template.
With Dojo Grid, it seems like I can't make my own template outside of the the rigid simplistic cell style grid that Dojo provides.
Does anyone know a way to use a custom template with Dojo Grid? Specifically, with Dojo you're forced to use a cell that corresponds to a data item. I'm looking to use a table as a template with any styling that I choose (rows, columns, rowspans, colspans, more than one data items in a single cell, etc).
Any clues please?
Thanks
Firstly, it sounds like everything you want is available by customizing the grid. You can do nesting of cells and even have things like Filtering Selects in rows. Unfortunately the docs on this are not awesome so it takes Googling and trial and error if you want very customized features.
Secondly, because of the OO nature of Dojo you can always use inheritance to create mixes of various widgets. Specifically the _templated class allows you to specify an HTML template for your widget, which themselves can included templated widgets.
If that sounds non-trivial, you're right, which is why I would suggest digging deeper into the Enhanced grid and probably open up the code before trying to write something yourself.
I can tell you that I struggled getting it working correctly, but I have hence been pleasantly surprised by features that I needed that I thought I would need to build myself but were built into the grid.
