The only information I've been able to find in QR Code scanning for the new AVFoundation-supported scanning is for iOS, and specifically using the camera.
I need to be able to scan for a QR Code in pre-recorded video Quicktime files.
I'm not even quite sure where to begin looking for this.
Basically, I need to open a video file, scan the video file for QR Codes embedded in the frames of the pre-recorded video, and then produce the results.
EDIT:
I attempted a bit more on this. I tried running some code for compiling on MacOS instead of iOS and I get the usual errors, telling me most of it is only supported by iOS. I can't seem to feed the QRCode framework anything in MacOS. There must be a way to do... Anyone out there come across this?

Am developing an app which a user can upload a video status just like whatsapp but I need a video trimming library which I can use to implement this feature where a user can trim some portion of the video they selected with a time frame. I searched and found some libraries like react-native-video-processing and others but none seems to work with expo. so I will appreciate if someone can give me a working one or a guide on how I can use ffmpeg or other libraries to archive this.
Thanks to the help of Ohgodwhy, I realized that it is possible to use QR code for a advertising, too.(question) Just scanning code shows the banner with options of Open Browser and Install App, it's really amazing.
I really want to realize this. I want to do it in my vue project. The problem is that I am not sure about the preview content of the link of the QR code. I am just embedding the link. The scanned result might show the link and hopefully the preview of the link.
But I am not sure how it would look like. Preview of the link are different on different platforms. Can you help me how to guess the content that will be shown by the mobile device as the banner when it successfully scanned the QR code?
I am using RNCamera to record video along with react-native-video-helper library for trimming/compressing video. I want to record or transform recorded video like instagram to wide angle(not potrait mode). It's been almost a week I am looking for a solution but I could'nt find anything useful till yet. I have tried react-native-video-processing library as well.
I have figured it out myself, posting answer to any one else struggling with the same scenario:
Go for ffmpeg, you can do almost every thing with this awesome tool, croping, merging, adding emoji's, text to video, triming, removing audio from video and so on.
You can find test application for a quick startup along with the package as well
For a university project i'm working on a DJ mixing app. I'm essentially tackling this project from a 'teach yourself from scratch by googling everything and analysing pre existing source code' type of way so go easy.
I have looked at the Mixer Host sample project from apple found here: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#samplecode/MixerHost/Introduction/Intro.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40010210
I can't work out how to replace the pre selected audio files (guitar + beat) with a song URL from the iPod library selected from a media picker, or, in this case - 2 media pickers.
Is it a case of grabbing the URL of the iPod library song selected and putting in place of the URL of the preselected audio file?
If someone could point me in the right direction, tell me how i'm completely going about this the wrong way, or even do the coding for me (joke), it would be greatly appreciated.
You can't actually simply stream from the ipod library; you need to copy the files into the documents directory of the app.
try this: http://www.subfurther.com/blog/2010/12/13/from-ipod-library-to-pcm-samples-in-far-fewer-steps-than-were-previously-necessary/
You can use third party libraries to play a iPod library songs using AudioUnit. The below link is useful to you

I'm trying to play a YouTube video within an iPhone app using the technique in this URL
http://iphoneincubator.com/blog/audio-video/how-to-play-youtube-videos-within-an-application
The technique works fine and the video plays fine, except that I'm getting this warning.
warning: Unable to read symbols for "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.2 (7D11)/Symbols/System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/YouTubePlugIn.webplugin/YouTubePlugIn" (file not found).
That does slow down the app for the first time I got the warning. Seems like a lot of people is getting the same warning, but none of the forums I read seems to have the solution to get rid of the warning.
Do I need to download something or do specific things?
I also tried adding the YouTube framework from "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.1.2.sdk/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/YouTube.framework"
Doesn't seem to solve the issue.
Please enlight.
Some clips might not play in mobile devices. Check if you clips does.
The "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/4.2.1 (8C148)/Symbols/usr/lib/dyld' has changed; re-reading symbols" warnings can be ignored (the clips should play anyway if it is available on mobile devices).
Note. I don't know the correct reason why some clips don't play on mobile, it might be a transcoding issue (not being transcoded for mobile) or some publisher settings.
Would be interesting to know.
You need to run your app on the device. The Simulator doesn't have the YouTube app.
