I'm new to windows app development.How can I make sqlite database in windows phone 8 app?This link shows how to use local databse but I want sqlite databse http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/hh202876(v=vs.105).aspx
thanks in advance....
you can download a nuget package called sqlite for windows phone.
then you can a .db file in your project or can create a new by using following code.
public static SQLiteAsyncConnection connection;
public static bool isDatabaseExisting;
public static async void ConnectToDB()
{
try
{
StorageFile storageFile = await ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder.GetFileAsync("DelhiMetroDB.db");
isDatabaseExisting = true;
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
isDatabaseExisting = false;
}
if (!isDatabaseExisting)
{
try
{
StorageFile databaseFile = await Package.Current.InstalledLocation.GetFileAsync("DelhiMetroDB.db");
await databaseFile.CopyAsync(ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder);
isDatabaseExisting = true;
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
isDatabaseExisting = false;
}
}
if (isDatabaseExisting)
{
connection = new SQLiteAsyncConnection(Path.Combine(ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder.Path, "DelhiMetroDB.db"), true);
}
}
}
}
then you can use this variable connection to connect with database like :
var result= classname.connection.QueryAsync<objecttype>("SELECT * FROM tablename").Result;

Function App: Version 2,
Target Framework: .Net Core 2.1
I am developing a Function App, that will work like Web Api. This Function App will return the data from database tables, also it'll manipulate files in Azure storage(Blob). But I am stuck as I am unable to create ConnectionString from local.settings.json file. Ideally the connection string should be created by default as I followed some tutorials & no where mentioned any extra steps to create default connectionstring value, just need to create it in local.settings.json file.
following is my local.settings.json file content:-
{
"ConnectionStrings": {
"mycs": "data source=servername;initial catalog=dbname;user id=XXXX;password=XXXX;MultipleActiveResultSets=True;"
},
"IsEncrypted": false,
"Values": {
"AzureWebJobsStorage": "",
"FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME": "dotnet",
"mycs": "data source=servername;initial catalog=dbname;user id=XXXX;password=XXXX;MultipleActiveResultSets=True;"
}
}
following is my HttpTrigger file:
namespace my_api
{
public class myDataContext : DbContext
{
public myDataContext() : base(GetConnectionString()) { }
private static string GetConnectionString()
{
const string providerName = "System.Data.SqlClient";
const string metadata = #"res://*/MYDB.csdl|res://*/MYDB.ssdl|res://*/MYDB.msl";
try
{
string connectString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["mycs"].ToString();
// Initialize the connection string builder for the
// underlying provider.
SqlConnectionStringBuilder sqlBuilder = new SqlConnectionStringBuilder(connectString);
// Set the properties for the data source.
//sqlBuilder.IntegratedSecurity = true;
sqlBuilder.MultipleActiveResultSets = true;
// Build the SqlConnection connection string.
string providerString = sqlBuilder.ToString();
// Initialize the EntityConnectionStringBuilder.
EntityConnectionStringBuilder entityBuilder = new EntityConnectionStringBuilder();
//Set the provider name.
entityBuilder.Provider = providerName;
// Set the provider-specific connection string.
entityBuilder.ProviderConnectionString = providerString;
// Set the Metadata location.
entityBuilder.Metadata = metadata;
return entityBuilder.ConnectionString;
}
catch { }
var connectionstring = Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("mycs");
return connectionstring;
}
public DbSet<flowerset> flowersets

}
}
}
Following is the code for :
namespace my_api
{
public static class helpService
{
[FunctionName("helpService_get")]
public static async Task> Run(
[HttpTrigger(AuthorizationLevel.Function, "get", Route = null)] HttpRequest req,

I am getting following error on line entity.helpsets.OrderByDescending(x => x.id).Skip((page - 1) * pageSize).Take(pageSize).ToList();:

According to my test, we can use System.Data.SqlClient to connect Azure SQL in Azure function V2.0. For example
Create an Azure Function with Visual Studio 2019
Install System.Data.SqlClient package(the version I sue is 4.5.1)

I'm working with the Renci SSH.Net library on a WPF application and I'm having an issue with using the SFTP client. When the user tries to connect to download some files from the SFTP server he gets the message shown below:
Server response does not contain ssh protocol identification
It doesn't appear to be something specific with the server as I'm able to connect and download the files just fine on my development desktop and a secondary laptop. The same application is able to connect over SSH and run commands without issue, it's just the SFTP connection that appears to be the problem. I'm looking for a little guidance as to where to begin troubleshooting this.
Code for SFTP shown below:
void DownloadPlogs()
{
try
{
SftpClient SFTP;
if (GV.UseCustomPort && GV.CustomPort > 0 && GV.CustomPort < 65535)
{
SFTP = new SftpClient(GV.IpAddress, GV.CustomPort, GV.Username, GV.Password);
}
else
{
SFTP = new SftpClient(GV.IpAddress, 22, GV.Username, "");
}
SFTP.Connect();
DownloadDirectory(SFTP, "/PLOG", Directory.GetCurrentDirectory() + #"\PLOG");
ZipFile.CreateFromDirectory("PLOG", String.Format("{0} - {1} PLOGS.zip", GV.IpAddress, DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyyMMddHHmmss")));
Directory.Delete(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory() + #"\PLOG", true);
SFTP.Disconnect();
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
MessageBox.Show(ex.Message, "Error Getting PLOGS");
}
}
void DownloadDirectory(SftpClient Client, string Source, string Destination)
{
var Files = Client.ListDirectory(Source);
foreach (var File in Files)
{
if (!File.IsDirectory && !File.IsSymbolicLink)
{
DownloadFile(Client, File, Destination);
}
else if (File.IsSymbolicLink)
{
//Ignore
}
else if (File.Name != "." && File.Name != "..")
{
var Dir = Directory.CreateDirectory(System.IO.Path.Combine(Destination, File.Name));
DownloadDirectory(Client, File.FullName, Dir.FullName);
}
}
}
void DownloadFile(SftpClient Client, Renci.SshNet.Sftp.SftpFile File, string Directory)
{
using (Stream FileStream = System.IO.File.OpenWrite(System.IO.Path.Combine(Directory, File.Name)))
{

}
}

I solve it for my self only with connections retrying attempts. Didn't find what exactly the issue is, but have this connection issue many times.
Example:
int attempts = 0;
do
{
try
{
client.Connect();
}
catch (Renci.SshNet.Common.SshConnectionException e)
{
attempts++;
}
} while (attempts < _connectiontRetryAttempts && !client.IsConnected);
I experienced the same odd error message when attempting to connect to a SFTP server while using the SSH.NET library in a program on the server. The problem did not appear while testing from my development machine.
The solution was to have our server team add the IP address of the server into the hosts.allow file on the SFTP Linux server.
Hello im trying to access an image from a post request with MultipartFormDataStreamProvider.
So far it seems successful other than when i try to create a file steam from the local name, the file is then in use. How do i get the current open stream to read the file, or get the old stream to close?
*Note: Please ignore the not so great try catch.
What I have so far:
[ResponseType(typeof(AdminImage))]
public IHttpActionResult PostAdminImage([FromUri]AdminImage adminImage)
{
if (!Request.Content.IsMimeMultipartContent())
{
throw new HttpResponseException(HttpStatusCode.UnsupportedMediaType);
}
string root = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/App_Data");
var provider = new MultipartFormDataStreamProvider(root);
try
{
Request.Content.ReadAsMultipartAsync(provider);
foreach (MultipartFileData file in provider.FileData)
{
FileStream fs = new FileStream(file.LocalFileName, FileMode.Open);
adminImage.ImageContent = adminImage.ImageToByteArray(Image.FromStream(fs));
}
if (!ModelState.IsValid)
{
return BadRequest(ModelState);
}
db.AdminImages.Add(adminImage);
db.SaveChanges();
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
return InternalServerError();
}
return CreatedAtRoute("DefaultApi", new { id = adminImage.Id }, adminImage);
}
I am creating one web app (mvc 4) to authorize customers (using membership provider) to view the reports(SSRS 2008) for which they are registered but they don't have any kind of access to our report server.
Based on the link How do I render a remote ReportViewer aspx page in MVC4?, I have implemented Elsimer's latest answer and it works well in downloading as a pdf file.
But when I try to render as html using the same code mentioned in the above link it is asking for the windows credentials to access the report server.
So I am giving a general credential which has all access to all the reports in the reportserver through the code. but it is still asking for the credentials for the report server when they try to view as html in the client side browser. Report is getting rendered but the images and graphs are not rendering without credentials.
Please advise, I have tried many things to solve this. but no luck.
My controller and credential class code as follows:
[Route("report/MonthlySummary")]
[ValidateAntiForgeryToken]
public ActionResult MonthlySummary(MonthlyReportParameters model)
{
if (ModelState.IsValid)
{

var actionType = model.ActionType;
if (actionType == "View Report")
{
return ExportMonthlyReportToHtml(model);
}
else if (actionType == "Download pdf report")
{

}
}
catch (Exception ex)
