iOS7 - How do I center these two uipckers? - ios7

I have gone through this answer and others. I can't seem to center these columns.
This is my code:
- (UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view{
NSLog(#"%s", __FUNCTION__);
UILabel *label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 120.0, 44.01)];
label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
label.textColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
label.textAlignment = NSTextAlignmentCenter;
label.font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"HelveticaNeue-Thin" size:18];
label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:#" %d", row+1];
return label;
}
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

UIPickerView not change font iOS 9.1

I try to change the font in the title with this code lines.
how can I make this work ?
- (NSAttributedString *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView attributedTitleForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent:(NSInteger)component
{
NSString *title;
UIFont *font;
title = [[countriesToCitiesDic objectForKey:selectedCountryName]objectAtIndex:row];
font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"HelveticaNeue-Bold" size:18];
UIColor *textColor;
textColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
NSMutableParagraphStyle *paragraphStyle = [[NSParagraphStyle defaultParagraphStyle] mutableCopy];
paragraphStyle.alignment = NSTextAlignmentCenter;
NSDictionary *attributes = #{NSForegroundColorAttributeName : textColor,
NSFontAttributeName : font,
NSParagraphStyleAttributeName : paragraphStyle};
return [[NSAttributedString alloc] initWithString:title attributes:attributes];
}
You can try this:
- (UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view
{
UILabel *label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, pickerView.frame.size.width, 44)];
label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
label.textColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
label.textAlignment = NSTextAlignmentCenter;
label.font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"HelveticaNeue-Bold" size:18];
label.text = [[countriesToCitiesDic objectForKey:selectedCountryName]objectAtIndex:row];
return label;
}
I tried this and it works:
- (NSAttributedString *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView attributedTitleForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent:(NSInteger)component{
NSString *title = [[countriesToCitiesDic objectForKey:selectedCountryName]objectAtIndex:row];
UIFont *font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"HelveticaNeue-Bold" size:18];
UIColor *textColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
NSMutableParagraphStyle *paragraphStyle = [[NSParagraphStyle defaultParagraphStyle] mutableCopy];
paragraphStyle.alignment = NSTextAlignmentCenter;
NSDictionary *attributes = #{NSForegroundColorAttributeName : textColor,
NSFontAttributeName : font,
NSParagraphStyleAttributeName : paragraphStyle};
return [[NSAttributedString alloc] initWithString:title attributes:attributes];
}

Weird tableViewCell issue on iOS 6

These "pipe" characters are appearing in some of my cells on my table view, but only on iOS 6. The first screenshot shows the issue on iOS 6, and the lower screenshot is iOS 4.3:
I appreciate any help offered.
Here is the code I'm using:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)_tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *CellIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"Cell%d%d", indexPath.section, indexPath.row];
UITableViewCell *cell = [_tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if(cell == nil)
{
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
UIView *clearColor = [[UIView alloc] init];
clearColor.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
cell.selectedBackgroundView = clearColor;
}
UILabel *label1 = [[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 10, 243.5, 25)];
[label1 setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:#"Helvetica-Bold" size:16.0]];
[label1 setTextColor:[UIColor blackColor]];
label1.text = [[self.tableDataSource objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] objectForKey:#"Name"];
[cell addSubview:label1];
UILabel *label2 = [[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(253.5, 10, 243.5, 25)];
[label2 setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:#"Helvetica-Bold" size:16.0]];
[label2 setTextColor:[UIColor blackColor]];
label2.text = [[self.tableDataSource objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] objectForKey:#"Email"];
[cell addSubview:label2];
UILabel *label3 = [[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(507, 10, 243.5, 25)];
[label3 setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:#"Helvetica-Bold" size:16.0]];
[label3 setTextColor:[UIColor blackColor]];
label3.text = [[self.tableDataSource objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] objectForKey:#"Phone"];
[cell addSubview:label3];
UILabel *label4 = [[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(760.5, 10, 243.5, 25)];
[label4 setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:#"Helvetica-Bold" size:16.0]];
[label4 setTextColor:[UIColor blackColor]];
label4.text = [[self.tableDataSource objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] objectForKey:#"Business"];
[cell addSubview:label4];
return cell;
}

Any specific reason you're using UILabels? I checked the code for an iOS6 application I have and I used NSStrings.
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *newTitle = #"my string";
cell.textLabel.text = newTitle;
}
Turns out I had to set each label's background color to clear:
label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
set clear background colour for labels
label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];

Set custom UIPickerView

I want to be able to set my UIPickerView to have 1 column and 10 rows. Within this column there is a title (UILabel) and an image beside it (the images are stars, from 1-3 stars being a possibility). I have put the images into an array called "showImages". I have put the UILabels into an NSString array called "currentNames". The indexes of both array correspond with each other. For some reason my code is not working when I implement
- (UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row
forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view
and I believe this is because I am using "row" to index the arrays which is incorrect. Does anyone know how I could do this properly? Thanks in advance, the rest of my code is below.
- (UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row
forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view {
NSString *imageName= [imageNames objectAtIndex:row];
if(component == 0)
{
NSString *imageName= [imageNames objectAtIndex:row];
UIImage *img = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName];
UIImageView *temp = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:img];
temp.frame = CGRectMake(120, 15,70, 27);
UILabel *channelLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(-80, 0, 320, 60)];
channelLabel.text = [currentLottoNames objectAtIndex:row];
channelLabel.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20];
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.shadowColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
channelLabel.shadowOffset = CGSizeMake (0,1);
UIView *tmpView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 110, 60)];
[tmpView insertSubview:channelLabel atIndex:0];
[tmpView insertSubview:temp atIndex: 1];
i++;
return tmpView;
}
}
I don't know how that could be wrong -- the row parameter being passed in should go from 0 to [imageNames count] - 1, so it should never be out of range. If you log row does it give you a number higher than [imageNames count] - 1? You should probably log [imageNames count] in the pickerView:numberOfRowsInComponent: method too, to make sure it's giving you what you think it is.

custom image in UIPicker

I am trying to implement an image in a UIImagePicker that has only one component. I add an uimageview and a uilabel. The catch is that the first row should NOT have an image as well as the 3rd row which I believe I have done right. My problem is that the images for each row are different so to solve this I have put them into an array of images and then based on what row is being passed in, I display the image. However; it is not working for me and seems to display the same image over and over. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks in advance!
imageNames= [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:#"9_stars.png", #"8_stars.png",#"7_stars.png",#"6_stars.png",#"5_stars.png",#"4_stars.png", nil];
/
-(UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row
forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view {
NSString *imageName= [imageNames objectAtIndex:theRow];
NSLog (#"the image name is %#", imageName);
NSLog (#"the current count is %d", theRow);
if(component == 0)
{
if (row == 0 || row == 17)
{
UILabel *channelLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(-80, 0, 320, 60)];
channelLabel.text = [currentLottoNames objectAtIndex:row];
channelLabel.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20];
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.shadowColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
channelLabel.shadowOffset = CGSizeMake (0,1);
UIView *tmpView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 110, 60)];
[tmpView insertSubview:channelLabel atIndex:0];
return tmpView;
}
else {
UIImage *img = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName];
UIImageView *temp = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:img];
temp.frame = CGRectMake(120, 15,70, 27);
UILabel *channelLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(-80, 0, 320, 60)];
channelLabel.text = [currentLottoNames objectAtIndex:row];
channelLabel.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20];
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];

[tmpView insertSubview:channelLabel atIndex:0];
[tmpView insertSubview:temp atIndex: 1];
return tmpView;
}
}
}
EDITED CODE
-(UIView *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView viewForRow:(NSInteger)row
forComponent:(NSInteger)component reusingView:(UIView *)view {
NSString *imageName= [imageNames objectAtIndex:row]; // This is where the issue is I believe. What do I use to go through the whole image array?
NSLog (#"the image name is %#", imageName);
NSLog (#"the current count is %d", row);
if(component == 0)
{
UILabel *channelLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(-80, 0, 320, 60)];
channelLabel.text = [currentLottoNames objectAtIndex:row];
channelLabel.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20];
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
channelLabel.shadowColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
channelLabel.shadowOffset = CGSizeMake (0,1);
UIImage *img = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName];

temp.frame = CGRectMake(120, 15,70, 27);
UILabel *channelLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(-80, 0, 320, 60)];
channelLabel.text = [currentLottoNames objectAtIndex:row];

channelLabel.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20];
channelLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];

UIView *tmpView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 110, 60)];
[tmpView insertSubview:channelLabel atIndex:0];
[tmpView insertSubview:temp atIndex: 1];
return tmpView;
}
}
Your problem is "theRow" - its not even defined in this method. You should just put a placeholder string in the array - that is at position 0 and 17 just put #"". Now you can use "row" to index into your array and all will be well.
EDIT: So your code implies you have 18 rows, want to show an image in most rows, but do something different for rows 0 and 17. Thus, you need an array of size 18.
imageNames= [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:
#"", // row 0 unused
// 1 - 6
#"9_stars.png", #"8_stars.png",#"7_stars.png",#"6_stars.png",#"5_stars.png",#"4_stars.png", nil];
// 7 - 12
#"9_stars.png", #"8_stars.png",#"7_stars.png",#"6_stars.png",#"5_stars.png",#"4_stars.png", nil];
// 13 - 16
#"9_stars.png", #"8_stars.png",#"7_stars.png",#"6_stars.png",
// 17
#"" // not used
// keep adding
nil];
The concept is to insure that you always have the same number of objects in the array as you have rows.
You can add an assert at the start of this method:
assert(row < [imageNames count]);
which will cause an exception if what you believe to be true turns out not to be.

how to redirect to a new screen on the button click in the table view in objective c

I have created a table view and added some labels and displaying it, now i need a button in each cell, where on click on the button, it has redirect to the new screen.
The following is the code which i am trying to redirect,
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
vendorsArray = [CommonUserDetails sharedUserDetails].mVendorDictionary;
NSLog(#"vendorsArray is %# \n count is %d",vendorsArray,[vendorsArray count]);
loTableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 43, 320, 400) style:UITableViewStylePlain];
[loTableView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor whiteColor]];
loTableView.delegate = self;
loTableView.dataSource = self;
loTableView.separatorColor = [UIColor grayColor];
[self.view addSubview:loTableView];
[super viewDidLoad];
// Do any additional setup after loading the view from its nib.
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
UITableViewCell* cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:#"myCell"];
if (cell == nil)
{
cell = [self tableviewCellWithReuseIdentifier:#"myCell"];
}
[cell setSelectionStyle:UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone];
[self configureCell:cell forIndexPath:indexPath];
//cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator;
return cell;

}
Where i am going wrong in the above code.
try this,
[self.navigationController pushViewController:mPayDescriptionController animated:YES];
see ,it is navigating to next view or not !! and if not then may be one of your object is null.
