I was wondering how I could display the prominent pages (such as About, Contact Us, Pricing, etc) of my website when it is searched for in Google. Currently Google search result only shows the homepage of my website. I want it to display prominent pages underneath as well, something like this:
I would really appreciate any help. Thanks guys!
These are called Google Sitelinks. You can find Google's explanation here. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/47334?hl=en
The process is automated, you cannot add sitelinks, but you can remove ones you think shouldn't be there when you see them, through Google Webmaster Tools.

How can I show logo and website description as snippets in Google search result?
I tried reading on Rich Snippets but seems like there is no way to do this?
Do your part and correctly implement the Rich Snippets.
Create a sitemap and submit it on Google Webmasters so that Google finds and crawls your pages and detect the snippets in your markup.
Google then will decide when to show your snippets according to several criteria described in their Webmaster Quality Guidlines and Structured Data Policies.
Be patient. Stuff related to SEO take time but they are eventually fruitful.

According to Google’s documenation, the logo can only be shown for organizations (not as Rich Snippet, but possibly in the Knowledge Graph). It makes use of Schema.org’s logo property (on Organization).
It’s unclear what you mean with "website description", as Google displays a short snippet by default anyway (either taken from the page’s content, or from the meta-description).
I've been researching how to add a Google search box to my site. Basically, the text box and a 'Go' button, which will search the web - except from my site. I used to see these every where.
Come to think of it now though I haven't seen it in a long time. And all the stuff I've come across in research is from early 2010 at the latest. Some searches say Google deprecated the API for what I'm looking for in 2009?
Is it still possible to get code for putting in a Google search on your page? Do you know where? Bing or Yahoo would do, too. Thanks,
Chris.
You should look at Google Custom Search Engines - http://www.google.com/cse/all
Try the google jsapi, look at the Hello World - Google Web Search API Sample and adjust to your layout,

As I have seen lots of rich snippets markup in search result which they have done with there individual (person) Google+ profile. And that's great.
So is it legal or not if I used my Google+ business brand profile for the same.
Please have look at the Google+ profile for more information

Thanks in advance.
I suspect you are talking about the author mark-up that can cause a Google+ provide to be added to a search results.
AFAIK business pages are not currently displayed in rich snippets.
You can define your Google+ business page as the publisher for your website. Maybe in the future this could cause rich snippets.

Of course it's legal. It's just that people are getting used to seeing real faces, and that's what I suspect most people are going to want to see.
You might also want to read the blog post that I've just written, especially if you're using Wordpress: Author Rel Wordpress
I am not sure my title is correct or not since I have no idea on SEO. What I want to do is, let google show extra links of my website just like yahoo.com.
When you search 'yahoo' on google, google shows Mail, Games, My Yahoo, Messenger, Finanace, Fantasy, Sports, and Movies. How do I add these extra links on my website?
This is determined automatically by Google. You may influence this by having is a good structure for your site.
Also submit you sitemap to the serach Engines.
I think you most definitely want to use the Google Webmasters Tools
These links are called Sitelinks. To get them:
Increase your page rank
Google will create the links automatically
If you don't like the links Google created, you can block them using the Webmaster tools.

For example, when I post to Stackoverflow, the post appears in the Google index a minute later. How is this accomplished? What do I have to do to my web-site to get the same frequency of indexing?
You could start by:
getting 65,000-odd regular users on your site.
making your site linked to from all over the place.
make your site very active.
providing very useful content.
This is all standard SEO stuff which will up your "importance" in the eyes of Google (and other search engines, presumably, but who cares :-).
The faster a page changes, the more google will re-index it.
Obviously, if your site is "important" enough for google.
You should check out Google Webmaster Tools here http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
To help with indexing from Google, but also Yahoo and MS, you'll want to use the sitemap protocol, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitemaps .
Simply put, if you want do that you, first, need to lure Google robot to you site.
To do this you should do those things:
Building as much hyperlinks to high-ranked, active, relevant sites as possible.
make your own site active. In this way, google believes your site is worthwhile to visit frequently!
In addition to this, you can provide premier content and structure(site map).
To sum all of them up, you need build a great site in the eyes of search engines!
Good luck!
