Yii rules of listbox are not being validated - yii

I have a listbox in a form whichs writes into my database. There has to be a value selected. In my view a have:
<?php
echo $form->radioButtonList($model, 'lidmaatschap',
array( '75' => 'Lidmaatschap Vriend € 75,-',
'1' => 'Lidmaaschap Vriend, ander bedrag' ),
array( 'separator' => '<br>' ) );
?>
In my model I have the rules set up which work for my text fields but I can't get the validation for my listbox to work. I tried:
array('lidmaatschap', 'required'),
and tried to compare it:
array('lidmaatschap', 'compare', 'compareValue' => '75'),
But it doesn't seem to recognize the listbox. When I use both ways on a textbox everything works just fine. What am I doing wrong here?

'crm_document_id',

'type',
),
)); ?>
how to pass Form edited row id to Popup GridView ?
Clearly you use AJAX to get the popup so i would first would make sure the ID of the edit button is the same as the ID from the item you want to open. Then you can do the following JS (using JQUERY)
$(".edit").on("click", function() {
var id = $(this).attr("id");
$.ajax({
type:"POST",
url: "controller/action/"+id;
success: function(data) {
//open dialog box and fill it with data
}
});
You could also add the id as data so you can get it with $_POST instead of it being a variable defined by the function. If you write the JS in a php document you can use $this->createUrl, but that is just whatever you prefer.
If with this you can not solve your problem then let us see how you implemented it right now.
i am not sure ... but i have a technique to do it....
if i have to do something like this ....
i will give class by htmlOptions and after that i will get value which should be an id to open popup..
example
<?php $this->widget('bootstrap.widgets.TbGridView', array(
'dataProvider' => $dataProvider ,
'type' => TbHtml::GRID_TYPE_BORDERED,
'template' => "{items}",
'columns' => array(
array(
'name' => 'vendor_configuration_id',
'header' => $dataProvider->model->getAttributelabel('vendor_configuration_id'),
'htmlOptions' => array('class'=>'idClass'),
),
array(
'name' => 'menu_type',
'header' => $dataProvider->model->getAttributelabel('menu_type'),
'htmlOptions' => array(),
),
?>
now jquery for it
$('.idClass').on("click",function(){
var neededId = $(this).html();
alert(neededId );
//openn popup based on this id or caal ajax to retrive data based on this
});

Changing CForm dropdown name attribute in Yii

I'm using Yii and I'm having a little problem with some dropdowns.
Basically I'm using CForm to display some dropdown menus of courses. A student can select up to two courses and for each course choice the student can select a 1st choice and second. It is a requirement that each course choice is inserted separately into the database. For example, it a student wants to study 2 courses and wants to have a 1st and 2nd priority course, they would choose like this:
Course one - 1st Priority
Course one - 2nd Priority
Course two - 1st Priority
Course two - 2nd Priority
This would put 4 new rows into the database. The administrators of the courses want this displayed as 4 dropdown menus containing the courses.
At the moment, I'm testing with just the 1st and 2nd priorities of course one, but the problem is that course one - priority one is always empty unless a value is selected for priority two. Then priority one gets the same value as priority two, even though two different courses are selected. I've been following this tutorial Form Builder as I am using the Wizard Behavior which uses CForm to build the forms.
Here is my code so far, again only dealing with "course one":
This is a snippet of the relevant code from the controller:
// inside controller
$model = new CourseChoice();
$form = new CForm('application.views.wizard.ccForm', $model);
$form['courseOneP1']->model = new CourseChoice();
$form['courseOneP2']->model = new CourseChoice();
$c1p1 = $form['courseOneP1']->model;
$c1p2 = $form['courseOneP2']->model;
// Here I am just reading the attributes and exiting for testing
if ($form->submitted()&& $form->validate()) {
echo '<pre>';
print_r($c1p1->attributes);
print_r($c1p2->attributes);
echo '</pre>';
exit;
..........
And here is code in the form in ccForm
return array(
'showErrorSummary' => true,
'title' => 'Course Choice 1',
'elements' => array(
// Course 1 - 1st Priority
'courseOneP1' => array(
'type' => 'form',
'elements' => array(
'course' => array(
'label' => '1st Priority',
'type' => 'dropdownlist',
'id' => 'c1p1',
'prompt' => 'Select 1st Priority Course',
'items' => CHtml::listData(CoursePeriod::model()->with('course')->findAll("year = 2014"), 'id', 'course.course_name'),
)
),
),
// Course 1 - 2nd Priority
'courseOneP2' => array(
'type' => 'form',
'elements' => array(
'course' => array(
'label' => '2nd Priority',
'type' => 'dropdownlist',
'id' => 'c1p2',
'prompt' => 'Select 2nd Priority Course',
'items' => CHtml::listData(CoursePeriod::model()->with('course')->findAll("year = 2014"), 'id', 'course.course_name'),
)
),
),
),
'buttons' => array(
'previous' => array(
'type' => 'submit',
'label' => 'Previous'
),
'submit' => array(
'type' => 'submit',
'label' => 'Next'
)
)
);
So lets say I choose 2 courses, one with an id of 15 and the other with an id of 86, I get the following when I print_r() both dropdowns:
Array // Dropdown 1
(
[course] => 86
.... // other irrelevant attributes
)
Array // Dropdown 2
(
[course] => 86
.... // other irrelevant attributes
)
Update
I've been looking further into this and when I look at firebug, I see that both dropdowns have the same name:
<div class="row field_course">
<label for="c1p1">1st Priority</label>
<select id="c1p1" name="CourseChoice[course]">
</div>
<div class="row field_course">
<label for="c1p2">2nd Priority</label>
<select id="c1p2" name="CourseChoice[course]">
</div>
So the 2nd menu is overwriting the first. But how can I change this? If I change 'course'=>array(.... in the CForm for either subform, the applicable dropdown does not render. I have already tried adding 'name'=>'course1' in the form but it makes no difference.
Couldn't you just set the name of the 2nd priority input element?
'course' => array(
'label' => '2nd Priority',
'name' => 'course2',
'type' => 'dropdownlist',
'id' => 'c1p2',
'prompt' => 'Select 2nd Priority Course',
'items' => CHtml::listData(CoursePeriod::model()->with('course')->findAll("year = 2014"), 'id', 'course.course_name'),
)
Just to answer my own question and close it as it is pretty old now, CForm does not support tabular input and would need to extended to achieve this. Probably not a big job but in the end I convinced management that the four dropdowns design was horrible. :-) I went with a more flexible design showing a gridview of courses in a pop-up to choose courses instead which works well and is less confusing for the user.
Anyone interested in this issue can see the open issue here. There is a link in there to view a possible implementation of extending CForm, though this was posted at the end of 2009.

Display name instead of Id in Yii

I want to display the name of Shift instead of shift_id
I have a dropboxlist from other table that is like this
<div>
<?php echo $form->labelEx($model,'mon'); ?>
<?php echo $form->dropDownList($model, 'mon', CHtml::listData(
Shift::model()->findAll(), 'shft_id', 'name'),
array('prompt' => 'Select a Department')
); ?>
<?php echo $form->error($model,'mon'); ?>
I have two tables that is
Day: id_day,mon,tues,wed,etc
Shift: shft_id,start,end,name,status
Here is the relation in the day
'shift'=>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Shift','shft_id'),
For Shift:
'day'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Day','id_day'),
It is already working. The choices in the dropbox was the name of the Shift, and puts the shft_id in the mon,tues,wed,etc. In the view of the form it looks like
id_user: 3
mon:5
tues:5
wed:6
what I wanted to be is that in the view.
id_user: 3
mon: 6am-5pm
tues: 7am-6pm
etc.etc.
I dont know what command it is. I have no idea. Help me please
Instead of User::getusername() method.
I think you can simply use this in one line.
// format models resulting using listData
<?php echo $form->dropdownlist($model,'user_id', CHtml::listData(User::model()->findAll(),'id', 'name')); ?>
below is an example which I think may solved your problem
in _form.php
<?php echo $form->dropdownlist($model,'user_id', User::getusername()); ?>
<?php echo $form->error($model,'user_id'); ?></th>
in User model
public function getusername()
{
$criteria2=new CDbCriteria;
$criteria2->select='*';
$quser=User::model()->findAll($criteria2);
foreach($quser as $r)
{
$user_id= $r->user_id;
$user_name=$r->user_name;
$user_array[$user_id]=$user_name;
}
return $user_array;
}
I'm trying to understand what you are really asking. I believe you were saying that you are already able to populate your records correctly from the dropdowns. But when you are displaying, the view is only showing the shift_id value? The relation for the day should be able to get your shift name. How are you displaying the list:
mon: 5
tue: 5
wed: 6
I'm trying to understand if you need help displaying the dropdown items properly, or how to display the shift name later after the values have been set in the database. Also, your 'Day' table has me confused. What are the field names? Are they 'day_id' and 'day'? Or do you actually name the fields after each day of the week?
If you are displaying the data through a foreach and are getting each day (let's assume it is $day) object, then the relationship to 'shift' can give you the name like this: echo $day->shift->name; if the name displays as '#am-#pm'. Otherwise you can display it like this:
echo sprintf('%d a.m. - %d p.m.',$day->shift->start,$day->shift->end);
Thanks for the people who helped me. It did lead me to the answer anyone who has the same problem here is what i did.
In my model/Day
public function relations()
{
// NOTE: you may need to adjust the relation name and the related
// class name for the relations automatically generated below.
return array(
'monday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','mon'),
'tuesday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','tue'),
'wednesday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','wed'),
'thursday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','thurs'),
'friday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','fri'),
'saturday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','sat'),
'sunday'=>array(self::BELONGS_TO,'Shift','sun'),
);
}
and In my models/Shift
public function relations()
{
// NOTE: you may need to adjust the relation name and the related
// class name for the relations automatically generated below.
return array(
'day_mon' =>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','mon'),
'day_tue' =>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','tue'),
'day_wed' =>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','wed'),
'day_thurs'=> array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','thurs'),
'day_fri'=>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','fri'),
'day_sat'=>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','sat'),
'day_sun'=>array(self::HAS_MANY,'Day','sun'),
);
}
The problem is with my relations. its not set properly, so you need to set it properly then go to Day/view
<?php $this->widget('bootstrap.widgets.TbDetailView',array(
'data'=>$model,
'attributes'=>array(
'id_day',
array(
'name'=>'mon',
'value'=>CHtml::encode($model->monday->name)
),
Here is the output
If you have a detail veiw then use the following code:
widget('zii.widgets.CDetailView', array(
'data'=>$model,
'attributes'=>array(
'id',
'name',
array(
'label' => $model->shift->getAttributeLabel('shift_name'),
'value' => $model->shift->shift_name
),)); ?>
In case anybody else will be in my boat, what you will need to do is edit view.php in view/modelname/view.php
widget('zii.widgets.CDetailView', array(
'data'=>$model,
'attributes'=>array(
'id',
'name',
'country_id')); ?>
into
widget('zii.widgets.CDetailView', array(
'data'=>$model,
'attributes'=>array(
'id',
'name',
array(
'label' => $model->country->getAttributeLabel('country'),
'value' => $model->country->name
),)); ?>

Dependent dropdownlist with chosen jquery plugin. Dynamic update

I'm new to yii so dont be strict.
I have dependent dropdown list with countries/states from model. It works perfect until comes Chosen jquery plugin.
I use http://harvesthq.github.com/chosen/.
So the problem is in howto trigger liszt:updated, so 2nd select can obtain data from standart select.
This is view code which makes that lists.
if ($field->varname=='country') {
echo $form->dropDownList($profile, $field->varname,CHtml::listData(Countries::model()->findAll(),'short','title'), array(
'class'=>"chzn-select",
'empty'=>"Select country",
'ajax' => array(
'type' => 'POST',
'url'=>$this->createUrl('registration/state'),
'update' => '#Profile_state',
'data'=>array('country'=>'js:this.value',),
)));
}
elseif($field->varname=='state') {
echo $form->dropDownList($profile, $field->varname,array(), array(
'empty'=>"Select state",
'class'=>"chzn-select",
));
Ok. I found the solution. Writing it here(maybe someone will find it usefull).
In our view file
echo $form->dropDownList($profile, $field->varname,CHtml::listData(Countries::model()->findAll(),'short','title'), array(
'class'=>"chzn-select",
'empty'=>"Select country",
'ajax' => array(
'type' => 'POST',
'url'=>$this->createUrl('registration/state'),
'update' => '#Profile_state',
'data'=>array('country'=>'js:this.value',),
'success'=> 'function(data) {
$("#Profile_state").empty();
$("#Profile_state").append(data);
$("#Profile_state").trigger("liszt:updated");
} ',
)));
Then in 2nd dropdownlist leve data empty:
echo $form->dropDownlist($profile, $field->varname, array(),array(
'class'=>"chzn-select",
'empty'=>"Select state",
));
Works perfect for me but gave me hours of research work.

How do you add a button to a CGridView?

Sounds simple, right? I've searched high and low and I can't find out how to do this. I have a CGridView:
$dataProvider = new CArrayDataProvider ($auctions);
$this->widget('zii.widgets.grid.CGridView', array(
'dataProvider'=>$dataProvider,
'columns'=>array(
'id::ID',
'product.title::Title',
'state::Status',
),
));
I want to add a fourth column that only contains a simple button that will execute javascript when pressed. I've tried:
array(
'class' => 'CButtonColumn',
),
This just gives me an error:
Undefined property: stdClass::$primaryKey
Any ideas?
Try this:
$dataProvider = new CArrayDataProvider ($auctions);
$this->widget('zii.widgets.grid.CGridView', array(
'dataProvider'=>$dataProvider,
'columns'=>array(
'id::ID',
'product.title::Title',
'state::Status',
array(
'type' => 'raw',
'value' => '<button onclick=\'alert("It works!")\' value="clickme"/>'
)
),
));
The best way to do it is with CButtonColumn::template and CButtonColumn::buttons.
array(
'class' => 'CButtonColumn',
'template' => '{view} {update} {delete} {copy}',
'buttons'=>array(
'copy' => array(
'label'=>'Copy', // text label of the button
'url'=>"CHtml::normalizeUrl(array('copy', 'id'=>\$data->id))",
'imageUrl'=>'/path/to/copy.gif', // image URL of the button. If not set or false, a text link is used
'options' => array('class'=>'copy'), // HTML options for the button
),
),
),
In this example there are the three default buttons and one custom, the 'copy' button.
If you don't want some of the default buttons (i.e. view, update and delete), you can remove them. Then, define the properties of the button that you added. I defined label, url, image and html options.
