Error on CPAN installation - module

When i tried installing the Perl Modules from CPAN in Strawberry perl with windows 7 OS using the command
"cpan Text::Extract"
i got the Following Error, "Fetching with LWP: http://cpan.strawberryperl.com/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz
LWP failed with code[500] message[Can't connect to cpan.strawberryperl.com:80 (10060)]
Warning: no success downloading 'C:\strawberry\cpan\sources\authors\01mailrc.txt.gz.tmp5668'. Giving up on it."
What is the cause of this Error and how to resolve it?

I resolved the Error with the help of the information from,
How do I install a module? Strawberry Perl issues
But One thing They missed out Or assuming that the user will know it is how to get Address and port Value respective to theor PC's.
you can get this info from the browser as follows,
Tools -> Internet Options-> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Address and Port Values mentioned under "Proxy Server" Tab.
so for Eg: if you find Address: XX.YY.XX.WW and port value as :8002,
the using CPAN shell you can configure the value for "http_proxy" as follows
o conf http_proxy http://XX.YY.XX.WW :8002/
This Resolves my issue.

Add one key in your settings.json as below. Please remember to replace the $remote_server_name to yours.
"remote.SSH.remotePlatform": {
"$remote_server_name": "linux"
}
Menu: File->Preference->Settings
Or click the icon to open settings.json:
In dialog box where you have typed user#host type/select Linux/Windows/etc. depends what you are using, then type/select Continue, then type password for remote session.
For those getting this error on Windows: Check if you have multiple ssh clients installed.
How I solved it was by adding my ssh-configuration to ALL ssh-config files.
In my case I had one in
C:\Users\USER_NAME.ssh\config (this is the one that the remote extension used to give me connection options)
and another in C:\Program Data\ssh\ssh-config
After adding my ssh-config setting to both I got the prompt to select virtual hosts' OS. Tried editing the settings.json file directly, but I think it gets confused because of the multiple ssh-configurations.
P.S.
Tested it for both private key and password enabled connections and it work with either.
I got a similar problem, but the error logs were bigger. Before that, I deleted the python and reinstalled it. Perhaps this led to the problem. Just reinstalled "Remote -SSH" extension in vscode and it worked for me.
In my case there were two files that look like
vscode-remote-lock.<user>.<xxx>
vscode-remote-lock.<user>.<xxx>.target
where was my remote user name and xxx the VS Code Remote Server build hash.
These two files on the remote server in the folder.
/run/user/1000/
I deleted both files and then VS Code came up right away. I have encountered this a few times now. VS Code Remote Server install is not very robust. I use it on about 7 remote machines and every once in a while something goes awry and it cannot recover from simple errors and gets stuck in installation loops.
This trick only works if there is a valid ~/.vscode-server on the remote machine with a hash that matches your local VS Code installation.
If you got here because you were trying to install VS Code in the first place and for whatever reason VS Code had issues with the remote installation, I highly recommend installing it manually by downloading and extracting the tar file to the remote machine directly.
I have tried playing with the setting "Use remote.SSH: Use Flock" and other tricks posted on StackOverflow but none of these work for me whenever I have remote installation issues. I cannot figure out why on some machines, a smooth remote installation is not possible. Even when all of my ssh keys and remote ids have been copied and tested from both the Windows command line and inside a WSL Ubuntu instance.
If VS Code Remote Server installation had slightly better error logic and better error messages none of us would be wasting hours doing this simple task.
I was getting the exact same error as the original poster received and yet none of the other answers were my issue.

VS Code on Chromebook Penguin with Remote SSH: Could not establish conntection to the "servername", the VS Code Server failled to start

I installed VS code on Penguin on an Acer Chromebook R11.
I followed the steps for Debian here : https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/setup/linux
It works like a charm but I need to connect to my remote dev server using the official extension RemoteSSH by Microsoft.
Then I configured a .ssh folder for the user with correct permissions : https://gist.github.com/grenade/6318301
Now I get :
Could not establish conntection to the "servername", the VS Code Server failled to start
The detailled log is :
[11:39:39.572] Resolver error: The VS Code Server failed to start
[11:39:39.609] TELEMETRY: {"eventName":"resolver","properties":{"outcome":"failure","reason":"ExitCode","askedPw":"0","askedPassphrase":"1","asked2fa":"0","askedHostKey":"0","gotUnrecognizedPrompt":"0","remoteInConfigFile":"1"},"measures":{"resolveAttempts":1,"exitCode":32,"retries":1}}
[11:39:39.620] ------
I don't have any idea of what it could be. Do you have one ?
I was having a similar issue and I resolved it by deleting the ".vscode-server" directory that was created on my server. It's a hidden directory that is created in the home directory (you can use "ls -la" to display all the files I believe). My hunch is that some incorrect data is being cached there so deleting the directory will give you a clean slate.
After deleting, you can try connecting again through remote-ssh on vscode.

Not able to start a new Ionic4 project

I am trying to start an Ionic 4 project from cmd and getting the following error
I tried to solve the problem by searching for solutions for the same type of errors and I could not find which one will solve my problem.
I tried to edit the etc/host file also to add the localhost port configurations as found in StackOverflow but no luck.
/ Downloading and extracting blank starter
[ERROR] Network connectivity error occurred, are you offline?
If you are behind a firewall and need to configure proxy settings, see: https://ion.link/cli-proxy-docs
Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND host host:80
Today I solved the problem.
I found the mistake done in Environment Variables.
I removed the following values from Environment variable and now it is working fine.
user variables:
http://host:port
PROXY
system Variables:
http_proxy
http://username:password#host:port

IBM Mobilefirst CLI 7.1.0 error with mfp start and mfp push

When I type "mfp start" in the terminal, this is what I get:

when I type "mfp push" into the terminal, this is what I get:

Error: JAVA_HOME environment variable must be set and pointing to a Java Development Kit (JDK). See 'mobilefirst help build'. Error: error

How do I fix these issues and errors? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CLI and I also have updated my java version to the latest version. I have also typed "mfp stop" in the terminal and typed in "mfp start" again but still got the same error.
Verify you do not have an already running server or something else is listening to the same port. Another thing you might want to check is the /etc/hosts file contains the right IP address for the localhost.
Double check to make sure your JAVA_HOME is set to the JDK, not JRE. Based on your first error, it should be:
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_131.jdk/Contents/Home

epmd error for host myhost: address (cannot connect to host/port) on windows 10

I am trying to install rabbitmq. The installation of both erlang i.e OTP 18.1 file was done successfulyl and also rabbitmq installation completed successfully. But when I try to connect rabbitmq, I get the following error:
C:\Program Files (x86)\RabbitMQ Server\rabbitmq_server-3.5.6\sbin>rabbitmq-plugins.bat enable rabbitmq_management

Error Empd Rabbitmq
I may be replying really late, but still I'm facing this issue. So it may help somebody event while installing rabbitmq version 3.6.5. To change the node name, open "rabbitmq-env.bat" under "installation dir\sbin" and change RABBITMQ_NODENAME to "rabbit#localhost" (line number 90 in rabbitmq 3.6.5). But make sure you remove the windows service, do change the nodename, install service and start it. This worked for me.
No other options worked for me which were marked as right answer in stackoverflow!
Remove the RabbitMQ service. Uninstall RabbitMQ. Kill the epmd.exe process. Delete your c:\users\\AppData\Roaming\RabbitMQ Directory.
Go to Control Panels -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables
Add a variable named RABBITMQ_NODENAME and set it to rabbit#localhost
Reinstall RabbitMQ.
Navigate to the RabbitMQ sbin directory (or run the command from the start menu) and run rabbitmqctl status.
You should no longer see the (cannot connect to host/port) error.
And yes, this will fix your Cisco AnyConnect VPN related installation issues.
open C:\Program Files\RabbitMQ Server\rabbitmq_server-3.7.15\sbin\rabbitmq-server.bat
Add the below command as the first line in
set RABBITMQ_NODENAME=rabbit#localhost
refer attached image
For Windows Machine:
Go in C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\RabbitMQ
Create a file rabbitmq-env.conf
Add the following:
CONFIG_FILE=C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\RabbitMQ\rabbitmq
NODE_IP_ADDRESS=127.0.0.1
NODENAME=rabbit#localhost
The above is my env-config, for this particular issue setting
the nodename will be sufficient.
Turn off you firewall & start the rabbitmq, it will work. After running it one time, even if you turn on the firewall, it will work.
This works for me in Windows 10 machine.
in your shell
$ export RABBITMQ_NODENAME=rabbit#localhost
$ /sbin/rabbitmq-server -detached
change rabbit#INLN50899724A
to rabbit#localhost and try again.
Or, edits your hosts file so that INLN50899724A points to 127.0.0.1
For using rabbit mq on windows 10 for similar error I did below
set RABBITMQ_NODENAME=rabbit#localhost
in the path where rabbit MQ is installed i.e for me it was in C:\Program Files\RabbitMQ Server\rabbitmq_server-3.8.5\sbin>
and then started
.\rabbitmq-server start
Also, I had changed the host to point to my computer name in c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
127.0.0.1 yourhostnamehere
