MS Access 2010, how to get the yellow Enable Content bar to show up again? - vba

I accidentally closed out the yellow bar that asks to enable Active Content or whatever, and now I can't get it to show up again so I can enable it. Without it, some VBA on the backend doesn't seem to work (it's used in a query) so I need to enable everything etc. How can I get the notification back and enable all VBA/etc?

I just tested this in Access 2010. After closing the yellow security warning bar (by clicking the x on the right-hand side) simply click the File tab on the ribbon bar and then click the big "Enable Content" button:

How to remove Desktop tab in KDE Plasma

I would like to remove the Desktop tab from KDE Plasma desktop environment and get rid of the context menu. Is there a way to do this ?
Hi Chris, Thanks for the reply. I am running KDE 4.14.8. I am not seeing what you are describing. The context menu is the menu when you right click on the desktop. I think you are calling it "desktop menu". My original snapshot show that menu. That menu changed depending what desktop theme I selected. I could not find anything call Configure Desktop. The closest thing to that would be Default Desktop Setting and there is not there about the Tweaks tab. The project that I am working on is kind of mission critical. It would be just a plain desktop without anything. The only thing the user can do is log on, does his job and log off. All the things that can distract the user will be removed. I got most of them except for this pesky toolbox.
To remove the toolbox:
right-click on desktop to get the desktop menu
select Configure Desktop, a dialog appears
switch to Tweaks tab
uncheck Show the desktop toolbox
You can also drag it to a corner (when widgets are unlocked), then it will not show the current activity name, but will still be accessible.

Intellij quick documentation is displayed in a separate panel instead of a popup

When I click Option-Q on an identifier to display the Quick-Documentation Popup instead of it showing up in a small dialog directly above the identifier it is showing in a large separate panel to the left.
This is suboptimal because the content is not where I wanted to look for it and because the new panel overlays the entire right side of the editor panel (and its contents).
Is there a Preferences setting for getting this to be a popup again?
Aha! There's a configuration menu that can be accessed by Right clicking on the top bar of the tool window. The first option Open as Popup is the one I wanted:

wxWidgets controls paint/draw/display issue on Windows

I built a small wxFrame GUI, originally on Linux using CodeLite+wxCrafter, but on Windows the controls are not visible until I click on a notebook page and back, or resize the form, or hover the mouse over a control. I created a new Windows CodeLite+wxCrafter project and it does not display this issue. I tried comparing all the details between the two projects to see what differences there were, but couldn't find any that fixed the issue. I'm puzzled.
For example, this is what I see when I run the app:
After clicking on the Advanced Page and then back to the Run Page or resizing the form, this is what I see:
Or if I hover my mouse over say a wxButton (Open) it shows up:
This is what it should look like, after I click on the Advanced Page and back to the Run Page or resize the form, and then hover my mouse across all the text controls.
Any ideas what the display issue is?

Hide the OK button in windows mobile 6.5

I have a winmo application running on win mobile 6.5 using the 2.0 ce framework:
On some forms, I make use of the menu bar to have custom menu items, as seen below
The "More" and "Cancel" buttons have events wired up so that I can actually make the form behave how I want to. But the problem is the "OK" that is always there by default and just closes the current form. I want to remove this completely so that it looks like this
:
But from what I have been researching so far, it is impossible. I have come across solutions to remove the whole menu bar (I still need the other buttons) or to disable the OK button (but even having it there will confuse the users)
Is this possible?
would be cool to also remove the windows "start" button, but not necessary
You can "dynamically" show/hide the Star icon when using small code BEFORE the window/form is created: http://www.hjgode.de/wp/2012/05/10/windows-mobile-kiosk-mode-series-part-1/
The trick is to just change one registry key BEFORE create windows/form:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"HardwareStartKeyEnabled"=dword:00000001
set to 1 to hide the start icon for new windows and set to 0 to have new windows show a start icon.
The change will NOT affect already open/created windows/forms. Only newly ones will be affected.
To Hide/disappear the Ok button or x (close) button,
Enable, controlbox=false.
To disappear/Hide the whole header or menu bar,
Use, WindowState=Maximized.

Detect Settings Charm is Opened or Not in Windows Store Apps?

I just want to know is that Any other way to get the Settings Charm is active or not.
Because, In my app, the Settings of an app is in the settings charm(If user presses Settings btn in App will leads to open Settings Charm)
In my case, Instead of using the settings btn. user may use short cut (WIN + C) (or) Moving the Mouse to the Right corner of the Screen. to enter into the settings pane means how could i know that?
Is that any way to find that????
Tap in to CommandsRequested on the SettingsPane
Occurs when the user opens the settings pane. Listening for this event lets the app
initialize the setting commands and pause its UI until the user closes the pane.
Now detecting that it's closed again would amount to checking that your window is again activated - see this thread.
