Lookup field and Invalid data has been used to update the list item error - sharepoint-2010

I have list A with three columns JobNumber,Crew and Date which is lookup column to List B. When I create three individual lookup fields in List B then following code works fine,
SP.FieldLookupValue lvjobNum = new SP.FieldLookupValue();
lvjobNum.LookupId = ID;
lItem["JobNumber"] = lvjobNum;
SP.FieldLookupValue lvCrew = new SP.FieldLookupValue();
lvCrew.LookupId = ID;
lItem["Crew"] = lvCrew;
SP.FieldLookupValue lvDate = new SP.FieldLookupValue();
lvDate.LookupId = ID;
lItem["Date"] = lvDate;
However when I create lookup field using "Additional column settings" option like,
Then same code shown above doesn't work and it throws an error,
<nativehr>0x80070057</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only.
Any idea ?

Struggling with simple boolean WHERE clause

Tired brain - perhaps you can help.
My table has two bit fields:
1) TestedByPCL and
2) TestedBySPC.
Both may = 1.
The user interface has two corresponding check boxes. In the code I convert the checks to int.
int TestedBySPC = SearchSPC ? 1 : 0;
int TestedByPCL = SearchPCL ? 1 : 0;
My WHERE clause looks something like this:
WHERE TestedByPCL = {TestedByPCL.ToString()} AND TestedBySPC = {TestedBySPC.ToString()}
The problem is when only one checkbox is selected I want to return rows having the corresponding field set to 1 or both fields set to 1.
Now when both fields are set to 1 my WHERE clause requires both check boxes to be checked instead of only one.
So, if one checkbox is ticked return records with with that field = 1 , regardless of whether the other field = 1.
Second attempt (I think I've got it now):
WHERE ((TestedByPCL = {chkTestedByPCL.IsChecked} AND TestedBySPC = {chkTestedBySPC.IsChecked})
OR
(TestedByPCL = 1 AND TestedBySPC = 1 AND 1 IN ({chkTestedByPCL.IsChecked}, {chkTestedBySPC.IsChecked})))
Misunderstood the question.
Change the AND to an OR:
WHERE TestedByPCL = {chkTestedByPCL.IsChecked} OR TestedBySPC = {chkTestedBySPC.IsChecked}
Also:
SQL Server does not have a Boolean data type, it's closest option is a bit data type.
The usage of curly brackets suggests using string concatenations to build your where clause. This might not be a big deal when you're handling checkboxes but it's a security risk when handling free text input as it's an open door for SQL injection attacks. Better use parameters whenever you can.

ITXEX field cleared when HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION is called

We got into difficulties in maintaining the ITXEX field (Long text indication) of an Infotype record.
Say we got an existing record in an Infotype database table with a long text filled (ITXEX field value in that record is set to 'X').
Some process updates the record through HR_CONTROL_INFTY_OPERATION like this:

This call does update the record but clearing it's ITXEX field.
It's important to say that making the same action through PA30 does update the record and maintain ITXEX field as it was.
The described problem seems similar to that question. Trying the solutions given there didn't solve the problem.
Why the two approaches (PA30 and function module) don't work the same? How to fix this?
First of all, FM parameters you use are incorrect. How do you want the infotype to be updated if you set nocommit = TRUE?
Also, you are missing the correct sequence which must be used for the update procedure:
Lock the Employee
Read the infotype
Update the infotype
Unlock the Employee
The correct snippet for your task would be

This way itxex field is treated correctly and if existed on that record, will remain intact. However, this method will not work for updating the long text itself, for that you must use object-oriented way, methods of class CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_CONTAINER.

UPDATE QUERY - Sum up a value from form with value from table

I've just started using microsoft access so I don't really know how to solve this. I would like to use an update query to add a value from a form to a value on a table.
I originally used the SUM expression which gave me an error saying it was an aggregate function.
I also tried to add the two values together (e.g [field1] + [field2]) which as a result gave me a value with both numbers together instead of adding them together.
The following is the SQL I'm using:
UPDATE Votes
SET Votes.NumVotes = [Votes]![NumVotes]+[Forms]![frmVote]![txtnumvotes]
WHERE (((Votes.ActID) = [Forms]![frmVote]![combacts])
AND ((Votes.RoundNum) = [Forms]![frmVote]![combrndnum]))
I want to add a value [txtnumvotes] a form to a field [NumVotes] from the table [Votes].
Could someone please help me?
You can specify the expected data type with parameters:
PARAMETERS
[Forms]![frmVote]![txtnumvotes] Short,

Without the specification, Access has to guess, and that sometimes fails.

Unique values from one column using ActiveAndroid?

I'm trying to get all unique values from a single column from a table. I'm utterly failing, and the docs don't seem to go into enough depth, and what I've gleaned from looking at the source seems like that should help, but doesn't.
List<Question> questions = new Select().from(Question.class).where("ZCLASSLEVEL = ? ", classLevel).execute();
works to get all the columns of all the Questions.
However,
List<Question> questions = new Select(columns).from(Question.class).where("ZCLASSLEVEL = ? ", classLevel).execute();
doesn't return any data (questions.size() = 0), where I've tried
String[] columns = { "ZHRSSECTION" };
and
Select.Column[] columns = { new Select.Column("ZHRSSECTION", "ZHRSSECTION")};
Presumably, throwing .distinct(). after the Select() should return only unique values, but I can't even get just the single column I'm interested in to get returned.
What am I missing here?

You should use groupBy() method to make the use of distinct() method.
For example:
List<Question> questions = new Select()
.distinct()
.from(Question.class)
.groupBy("ZCLASSLEVEL")
.execute();
The above code returns a list of Questions, one for each ZCLASSLEVEL (probably the last row).
Then you can get the unique values of ZCLASSLEVEL as
for(Question question: questions){
int level = question.ZCLASSLEVEL;
//do something with level.
}
A little late in answering this, but the issue is because SQLiteUtils.rawQuery() makes the assumption that the Id column is always going to be in the cursor result. Set your columns String[] to {Id, ZHRSSECTION} and you'll be fine.

I'm Using SQL Developer as Oracle client.
Apparently one (or more) column names in your select list exists in more than one table of the FROM list.
You need to prefix every column in the SELECT list with the table it's coming from (it's also a good practice to always do that, regardless of the fact if they are ambigous)
Mention name of table before every column in select query.
Ambiguous column means that you have more than one column with the same name in one of the SELECT statements.
Try this instead, prefgixing all selected columns with their fully qualified names (as you have done elsewhere in your SELECT):

I had to guess the filly qualified name for
ACCOUNTING.VOUCHER_ITEM_RECEIVE_DOC.PORTION_AMOUNT

INCOME.RECEIVE_DOC_PORTION.PORTION_AMOUNT
But you should be able to resolve that easily.
