I installed the Sonar plugin(3.2) to eclipse (juno).
link.
However i cannot find it in eclipse . Window > Preferences > does not show up the sonar option. I have restarted eclipse using clear flag (both in command line and modifying the .ini file) but it does not help.
Is there anything else i can do to get the sonar option available?
There was some issue with the 3.2 version of sonar and Juno. An older version of Sonar (2.X) can easily be integrated with juno.

I am getting the following error while installing TestNG plugin( 6.14.3) in Eclipse.
Missing requirement: TestNG Eclipse Support 6.14.3.201902250526

I am using Eclipse Oxygen- March Edition. Could anyone please help me here?
Your version on Eclipse (Oxygen) is too old for that version of TestNG.
Version 3.10.0 of org.eclipse.jdt.launching was not introduced until Eclipse Photon so you need at least that version of Eclipse, but preferably the current version (Eclipse 2018-12 at time time of writing)
We had same issue for several employees. In our case it doesn't relate to Eclipse version.
Seems as new WebSense antivirus blocked the installation of the TestNG from default location. Eclipse showed the error from the description and continued to look for "alternative solution" which took many hours, but finally TestNG was installed successfully. Just have patience. Or try to disable antivirus.
let process to continue in spite of the error
Thanks Greg and Ilana.
TestNG installed successfully when the Eclipse was updated to 2018-12 Version.
If you are facing issue while installing TestNG in Eclipse version there are few simple steps to follow:
Download zipped latest version of Eclipse from below location (http://dl.bintray.com/testng-team/testng-eclipse-release/)
Store it your drive (zipped folder suppose in C drive)
After that go to Eclipse and install new software, click on add, archive, and complete the installation by selecting Next option when prompted)
Restart Eclipse you will see TestNG option in there.
while installing from add new software ,there is an option to check for solution rather than default selection. Please select different version of TestNG which is compatible with your eclipse version .This solution worked for me while using eclipse Mars(4.5.2)
I am currently trying to install DrJava plug-in in Eclipse Oxygen and I always get an error saying "could not find jar file" even though I opened it using the Install New Software in the Help menu...
I think I have tried everything I could but it does't seem to work...
or is there any better plugin in eclipse that has an interaction pane?
The DrJava Plug-in for Eclipse is an Eclipse 2.x plug-in which are not supported anymore. Therefore, it is not possible to install the plug-in in a current version of Eclipse.
A very similar functionality is built in the Eclipse Java IDE as Java Scrapbook Page (File > New > Other...: Java > Java Run/Debug > Scrapbook Page) and for debugging as Display view (similar to select an expression in the Java editor and hit Ctrl+U or right-click and choose Execute).
In Java 9, there is also a so-called JShell.
The organization with whom I'm associated have been using IDE formatter and a similar checkstyle thing in the IDE. The file I have come up with is what a checkstyle plugin supported one, no further detail I have about it.
Kindly Assist Me as I want that file written/generated by eclipse-cs plugin configuration editor to work in SonarQube. The xml file is already in working order in Eclipse IDE but I want my Checkstyle-configuration to work in SonarQube now.
Note: I have already installed checkstyle plugin 2.4 in my SonarQube 5.4
What you need is the Eclipse Plugin SonarLint. Available in the Eclipse Marketplace or on their Website. Once you connect you Plugin with your SonarQube Server it will always trigger a check when you save your file.

As it is answered here, you might be using an old ScanOnDemand plugin, you can add the latest Development Plugins to your Plugins: Plugins > Settings Tab > Add and use the following URL to add a new NB Plugins source:
http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/nbms-and-javadoc/lastStableBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/updates.xml.gz
I have tried this solvation, added the source above with name 'Plugin Resource' and checked available plugins. There, Findbugs Integration plugin appeared and installed successfully. When i restarted the ide to finish the installation, it generated an error and never started again.
Thus, i have downloaded netbeans 7.3 from this link and replaced with the old one (7.0.1) on my computer. Now Findbugs plugin is availabe in the list of available plugins without any additional configuration and works flawless. I recommend you to upgrade your ide to 7.3 and solve your problem. This will fix the problems that may occure in the future because of the lack of version of your current netbeans ide.
In addition, after updating the ide, you can use the findbugs plugin installing from this source. This plugin provides to use findbugs explicitly from the inspector.
Can someone tell me how to install a map reduce (hadoop) plugin in eclipse-cpp-helios-SR2-linux ? Thanx in advance
hi
you can try this approach. Use any latest version of eclipse and than install CDT in it. This will allow you to write c/c++ application.
for your hadoop just go to you hadoop installation directory, here in contrib folder you will find eclipse plug-in in this folder you will get the jar file, just copy this file in to eclipse plug-in directory and restart the eclipse.
Now check for map-reduce perspective in window->open perspective and select build configuration according to your system
I don't know about the hadoop plug-in site if you find a site which provide hadoop plug-in than
There are two way to do it.
1:As you read over the net copy the plug-in and paste it into Eclipse plug-in folder and restart the eclipse. This is not the best way to install plug-in.
2: The proper way to install plug-in in eclipse is following :
Go to Help menu in Eclipse main window press Install new software.
Here in tab work with just put the address of website from where you want to install the plug-in.
Write any name for plug-in than look in the text box. it will provide you proper name of the plug-in and "next " tab at the bottom will be activated.
Press the next tab,It will install your plug-in .
At the end of installation just restart the eclipse to take the new setting effect.
