I am trying to install the Applaud plugin in Eclipse Kepler but for some reason the installation is not completing.
The installer is stuck on 48 percent for some time and seems to be downloading the same file over and over again. Any Idea whats causing this problem?

I installed Cloud Code for IntelliJ Community Edition 2022.2.1 and IntelliJ hung. I have let it run for over 20 minutes but there is no change. This is the second time this has happened (I reinstalled IntelliJ the first time). Could this have anything to do with having many complicated Maven pom.xml files in multiple projects?
The screen is stuck on the Popup text and showing that there is an upgrade pending.
The issue arises after I install the Cloud Code plug-in. The version of Cloud Code that I installed is: Cloud Code - 22.9.2-221.
The fix for Cloud Code plugin has been released - please update to the latest plugin version (22.10.1-222/221).
This should fix the hanging when opening new projects (especially large one on slower Windows machines) with Cloud Code installed.
If you get your IDE hanging when opening a project in Windows and need to unblock to install a fixed version of Cloud Code, go to Windows Task Manager, find IntelliJ IDEA, expand list of child processes, and kill skaffold.exe process - this should unblock IDE immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I am getting the following error while installing TestNG plugin( 6.14.3) in Eclipse.
Missing requirement: TestNG Eclipse Support 6.14.3.201902250526
(org.testng.eclipse 6.14.3.201902250526) requires 'bundle
org.eclipse.jdt.launching 3.10.0' but it could not be found Cannot
satisfy dependency: From: TestNG 6.14.3.201902250526
(org.testng.eclipse.feature.group 6.14.3.201902250526) To:
org.testng.eclipse [6.14.3.201902250526]
I am using Eclipse Oxygen- March Edition. Could anyone please help me here?
Your version on Eclipse (Oxygen) is too old for that version of TestNG.
Version 3.10.0 of org.eclipse.jdt.launching was not introduced until Eclipse Photon so you need at least that version of Eclipse, but preferably the current version (Eclipse 2018-12 at time time of writing)
We had same issue for several employees. In our case it doesn't relate to Eclipse version.
Seems as new WebSense antivirus blocked the installation of the TestNG from default location. Eclipse showed the error from the description and continued to look for "alternative solution" which took many hours, but finally TestNG was installed successfully. Just have patience. Or try to disable antivirus.
let process to continue in spite of the error
Thanks Greg and Ilana.
TestNG installed successfully when the Eclipse was updated to 2018-12 Version.
If you are facing issue while installing TestNG in Eclipse version there are few simple steps to follow:
Download zipped latest version of Eclipse from below location (http://dl.bintray.com/testng-team/testng-eclipse-release/)
Store it your drive (zipped folder suppose in C drive)
After that go to Eclipse and install new software, click on add, archive, and complete the installation by selecting Next option when prompted)
Restart Eclipse you will see TestNG option in there.
while installing from add new software ,there is an option to check for solution rather than default selection. Please select different version of TestNG which is compatible with your eclipse version .This solution worked for me while using eclipse Mars(4.5.2)
I'm having trouble with changing GlassFish version to Nigthtly. My Intellij says that it doesn't recognize it as a valid GlassFish home. Could somebody tell me step by step how to get through this?
Soulution:
go to glassfish4/glassfish/lib/install/applications/__admingui/WEB-INF/lib/
change jar name to console-4.1
Although this works I cannot get it to work with the newest version of nightly build.
My mistake was to assume that it was Intellij specific problem, so I installed Netbeans and tried changing GlassFish there and the same problem occured, but this time I knew there's like million more questions on the internet about Netbeans than Intellij and of course I found a solution.
I added this plug in to my netbeans 7.2 IDE. Then, when I restarted the program and tried to open it again it did not open
as shown in this picture
I tried to restore my Windows system to previous restore point but the problem still exist.
any ideas how to solve this problem
I've tested the repository that they advised you to adding in the your Netbeans install.
But really has reference to many more plugins and features installed,
if you add this repository after upgrade the NetBeansIDE you will see that all base modules will have replaced by the development release and practically you will have another version of netbeans installed.
I advise you to uninstall your current netbeans without deleting your workspace and reinstall your netbeans downloaded directly from the official website.
And also I would advise you in the future should try the unofficial plugin in a test environment. before bringing in your work
environment
I'd like to upgrade my Helios installation of Eclipse to Indigo. When I do, I get the following message:
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed: Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 1.4.2.20120213-0813 (epp.package.jee 1.4.2.20120213-0813)
Software currently installed: Oracle GlassFish Server Tools 1.6.1.201009290929 (oracle.eclipse.tools.helios.glassfish.feature.group 1.6.1.201009290929)
So my first thought was to simply uninstall GlassFish. For the life of me, I can't figure out how and where to go to do this. I went to Help->About Eclipse...->Installation Details. The only place that it looks like I can uninstall stuff is in the "Installed Software" tab. I do not see the Oracle Glassfish package anywhere. If I go to "Feature" or "Plug-ins", I can find it just fine, but there is no option to uninstall.
So my next thought was to upgrade Glassfish. So I put the indigo repo in there, but I still get the same message when trying to update. Any ideas?
There is no mechanism within Eclipse to permanently and physically uninstall a feature and its plug-ins. The process to physically and permanently remove an undesirable feature and its plug-ins is a manual process that should be done when Eclipse is not running. In order to do, you will have to manually remove the files there associated with the feature from the eclipse/features directory and its plug-ins from the eclipse/plugins directory.
