Comment functionality on every page in Yii 1.1

I am using Yii 1.1.16 for one of my projects.
I have 5 controllers at the moment, and their data is coming from their respective models.
Now I want to add new functionality into my website, regarding comments. I want to add a form at the bottom of each view, but obviously the data will be coming from another database table (I have created a new model for that).
I am confused. Should I create 5 different forms in HTML for my problem, or can I use Yii widgets functionality to implement the same?
The Comment table would be the same for every user in the database. Comments will be coming with the help of their user id, which is stored in the table, and their comment will be inserted with the help of their user id, too.
Please let me know the best solution you can think of.
I suggest to create one widget for displaying comments section and one controller for handling request from this widget (for example adding new comment or displaying different page of comments list). In this way adding comments for any section should require only few lines of code to initialize widget:
$this->widget('CommentsWidget', [
'parentId' => 'page-' . $model->id,
]);

Yii - Create items list

is there a simple way of creating a list with editable elements (add/remove) on a page?
Something simillar to the users managing list, where you can add and delete users.
For example, you got a table in DB with 2 columns - "Name" and "Value", and rows like
"Onion"-"10" and "Potato"-"20". The idea is to display the table on a page and make it editable.
Sounds simple but im new in Yii, just yesterday learned about it, did first app and other stuff from guides, but there is no guide how to create things like that manually (so far i was installing widgets mostly)
Thanks
The component you need is CGridView. Take a look to this website.

Creating an interactive events scheduler

I'm attempting to create something with a similar layout to this schedule page.
See attached screenshot also.
.
So what I need is:
- "Categories" across the top of the scheduler (Vertical dividers).
- "Timeslots (07:00 07:30, etc..)" down the left of the scheduler.
User's can then add events via modal screens and assign them "Timeslots" and "Categories".
They should then appear in the Schedule in the appropriate locations.
The above mentioned example appears to be using Dojo.
I found this calendar widget but am unsure of how to get it to represent "Categories" across the top when using the "Day" view.
Is this possible with the dojo calendar widget? (I've never worked with Dojo before)
Any suggestions as to other frameworks or example's that would provide me with this functionality would be very welcome also.
I've looked at JQuery's fullCalendar plugin and it doesn't seem to provide this functionality (Would be great if someone could prove me wrong!).
After looking at Dojo's widget documentation I think the Sub-Column display is what you are looking for. So each Calendar in this case will represent a category. http://livedocs.dojotoolkit.org/dojox/calendar#sub-columns.
I don't think FullCalendar is capable of the category layout, but I think its cool enough to request: http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar/wiki/Request-a-Feature/
Hope that helps!

Display featured products on category page PRESTASHOP

I just want to show some featured products on each category page (not home page).
I thought to use features or tags. So in the back, I add to the products I want to show a "featured" tag or feature. And then in the front on each category page I display the products of that category that have that tag or feature.
What do you think is easier? and how can I achieve this? I am so lost, so I'd appreciate any guidance.
Thanks guys
Here is how I would do this:
Create a module (obviously) to extend the product class and add a featured field (as a boolean, you can also use a position field if you want to manage something like that)
Within the module it's easy to override the admin controller to add a checkbox somewhere
On the category page, create a hook to display the featured product, or just override the categoryController to get them.
And voilĂ ! It's really easy. I just give you the steps as I won't write the code for you :) but if you need more advices feel free to ask

Sitefinity 4.4 - Dynamically change page title and description at runtime

Does anyone know how to dynamically change the page title in Sitefinity from a regular user control?
Our scenario is simple. We have a real estate website with a search feature. On the search results page we have a control showing the search results, but we need to be able to change the Page title, description and keywords based on the search performed.
We posted on Telerik, but they gave vague answers and pointed us to incorrect objects or objects that didn't actually work.
?

Jacques
The way I've usually done this in the past is by using an external widget template.
By mapping your widget template to an external file, you can use a full User Control (.ascx file) which means you can also run code behind.
From there it's just a matter of running something like
Page.Title = "whatever";
For more info on using an external template for Sitefinity Widgets, check out this post: http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/joshmorales/posts/11-05-10/mapping_external_templates_for_sitefinity_4_widgets.aspx
Hope this is helpful!
