I tried all travel modes like driving, walking, cycling, etc., But I want all travel modes displayed in a single result on my routing feature. Is this possible?

How to get a rout information with trafic flow information included for a past date?

I am trying to use Azure Maps API. It will be nice to have route information which should include the locations of course and a speed profile. As you can understand speed profile is not an east one. Free flow speed profile is ok. But we want to simulate real-world conditions meaning that we want to select date and time of departure to get accurate speed information as close to as possible to a real world traffic influence.
Is there any feature that Azure provide this? If not, which API can provide this
I don't have any code at this moment to show since ı don't know which API to use.
Historical traffic data is not currently available in Azure Maps but is being investigated as a potential future feature.

Best practice for bulk uploading to Street View Publish API?

We're currently in the process of recording 1fps time-lapsed 4k 360 photos of every island in the Bahamas, with embedded GPS EXIF data. An average hour of filming tends to produce around 600 image frames, which can easily expand to 2000-10,000 images per day on bigger routes. 2000 or so are approved on Google Maps already, but we're hitting a larger brick wall.
The Street View app is obviously the best way to upload when you have 50-100 image files, but it obviously struggles when it starts to hit over 500+ uploads in a batch (publishing doesn't start, or the app crashes), so we're left manually submitting collections. Add that to the standard 4000/day quota, and it's quite a challenge.
Having looked at the Publish API, it's rather tricky to leave a CLI tool running as it's designed with OAuth flow in mind with 1hr access tokens. The service account route seems to the way to go, but the PHP API client seems to have scant documentation for SV Publishing. Connecting photos is also tricky with that many images.
We ideally need a desktop uploader (like the backup tool), or a way to directly import from folders in Google Drive. The first seems discontinued, and there's no data on the second.
Can anyone explain or elucidate on the best practice for this kind of volume upload with the Street View publishing service?
Since you are only capturing 4K images, it will be much simpler to use video mode, depending on if your camera supports it at the desired framerate. You may check this documentation for more information.

How to analyse historical waze data?

I'm trying to find a way to get historical speed data for a certain road in the UK to calculate its average speed per time of day AND the maximum speed driven by a any driver on the road between a period time. Any pointers how to do this from Waze? Thanks
I'm afraid Waze doesn't expose that data (understandably, as it is their core business). This excerpt from the help page should say enough:
Please note: Waze does not share any historical data with partners.
If you work for a local government or organisation, you could consider joining the Connected Citizens Program. As a partner you are able to get a data feed for a certain route and you're allowed to store that data to get historical data (as detailed on the Waze Partners Help site).
While I'm not certain about the legal status of doing this without being a partner, you could probably also start building your own historical dataset based on what Waze provides as average speed on a segment by periodically looking up the data returned when you plan a route on the Waze Live Map.
Routing requests are sent to https://www.waze.com/row-RoutingManager/routingRequest?... (see the network console of your browser for more details), but this requires some additional work managing CSRF and session cookies and providing the proper referral header. While not impossible, it's not too easy to pull off.
The response of such a routing request contains the instructions you see on the live map, but also includes things like the length of each specific segment on the route (distance), its average speed without realtime data (crossTimeWithoutRealTime) and its average speed with realtime data (crossTime). It's also possible to request the average speed for a certain time in the day, but this tends to be somewhat unreliable data.
The maximum speed is something you won't be able to find in Waze's data though, I'm afraid. I'm not even certain Waze stores that information as those statistical outliers generally aren't that interesting for navigational instructions. You could try to contact Waze for more information if you're doing a scientific study, but don't get your hopes up too much in that case as they have a small team that is constantly overwhelmed by the amount of questions they receive.

Tips for conserving battery if CoreLocation must constantly retrieve the user's location?

The application will select a random latitude and longitude to create a point which the user must find.
The user's distance from the point will be displayed using a "hot-cold meter", which will change color depending on the distance. This meter must constantly update, which would require that I constantly retrieve the user's location. I would also need to use kCLLocationAccuracyBest. However, this sounds like it would use up a lot of battery.

Gathering location data is a power-intensive operation. It involves powering up the onboard radios and querying the available cell towers, Wi-Fi hotspots, or GPS satellites, which can take several seconds. Leaving the standard location service running for extended periods can drain the device’s battery. (The significant-change location service drastically reduces battery drain by monitoring only cell tower changes, but the service works only on devices with cellular radios.) For most apps, it is usually sufficient to establish an initial position fix and then acquire updates only periodically after that. If you are sure you need regular position updates, you should use the significant-change location service where you can; otherwise, you should configure the parameters of the standard location service in a way that minimizes its impact on battery life.

My iphone app runs 8 hours of recording fixes evey second on iphone4. The display needs much more power. Dont worry. Measure how long you can record. Then claim, not before.

Google Maps, Bing Maps, OpenStreetMaps and MapQuest limitation

I'm very confused reading the online term of use of some Online Map Service (like Google Maps, Bing Maps, OpenStreetMaps and Mapquest)...
There is a way to use Google or Bing Maps on a website for non-commercial or commercial pourpose without any daily limitation of request?? What kind of Api I can use for free without any limitation of use or request, if I want to see a map on my site with several point of interest inserted by me??
I have read that in free version of Google or Bing some ads may appear sometimes inside the maps, and I cannot insert in my webpages any ads from another provider different from Google or Bing. It's true?
If I want to use OpenStreetMaps (an opensource Maps Database) or the partner MapQuest, it's true that there aren't any limitations of daily request or appearing ads on the maps or policy of exclusive banner campaign??
But, at the end, If I try to build a portal with this maps, and I want to plan in the future the insertion of some ads and the creation of a little company, I'm doing a commercial or not-commercial use (now and in future)??
Google recently announced new advertising and rate limiting in their terms of service. Websites will be forced to display ads in their maps, or pay for a premium account. Popular websites (resulting in lots of hits of google map tile server) will also need to pay for a premium account. It's not clear if your intended use will trigger those limits.
OpenStreetMap might offer a viable alternative. They do run a map tile server which can be used to embed a slippy map on your website. There is also an open source javascript library called OpenLayers (among other options), meaning that you can be free of google and their ads. OpenStreetMap do however operate a strict tile usage policy to protect the service which is paid for by donations, and run by volunteers.
OpenStreetMap also uniquely offers another approach: Create your own tile server, rendering the raw map data yourself. This might be a sensible option if you run a very popular website, or if you require only a limited area of the world to be shown. It's also really neat because you have full control over rendering style. It's a fairly technical process though ...but
