Any idea on this how to resolve it ???

To use Geb/Chrome you will have to configure it on Mac, download the Chrome Web Driver from http://chromedriver.storage.googleapis.com/index.html and move the chromedriver to usr/bin folder. Restart terminal and run your Geb test with Chrome driver and it should work.

As stated here,The followings can be the reason for your Exception.
Class is not available in Java Classpath.
You might be running your program using jar command and class was not defined in manifest file's ClassPath attribute.
Any start-up script is overriding Classpath environment variable.
Because NoClassDefFoundError is a sub class of java.lang.LinkageError it can also come if one of it dependency like native library may not available.
Check for java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError in your log file. NoClassDefFoundError due to failure of static initialization is quite common.
If you are working in J2EE environment than visibility of Class among multiple Classloaders can also cause java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, see examples and scenario section for detailed discussion.

using HiveContext in spark sql throws an exception

I have to use HiveContext instead of SQLContext because of using some window functions that are available only through HiveContext. I have added the following lines to my pom.xml:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.spark</groupId>
<artifactId>spark-hive_2.10</artifactId>
<version>1.6.0</version>
</dependency>
and the spark version on the machine that I run the code is also 1.6.0
However, when I submit my code to spark, I get the following exception:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.hadoop.hive.metastore.api.ThriftHiveMetastore$Iface.get_all_functions()Lorg/apache/hadoop/hive/metastore/api/GetAllFunctionsResponse;

Has anyone any idea?
I resolved similar issue by replacing and explicitly using
hive-metastore.jar in my spark-submit command:
--conf /path_to/hive-metastore.jar
The jar I was using before the issue occurred was incorrect for another environment.
The working jar was located in cloudera parcels directory (depending
on a distribution), e.g.:
/cloudera/opt/cloudera/parcels/SPARK2-2.2.0.cloudera2-1.cdh5.12.0.p0.232957/lib/spark2/jars/hive-metastore-1.1.0-cdh5.12.0.jar

Signed applet with code inside a PrivilegedAction throws PrivilegedAccessException when called from Javascript

I have a signed applet that executes some code inside the PrivilegedAction.
public String somePublicMethod()
{
String str = (String) AccessController.doPrivileged(new PrivilegedAction()
{
public Object run()
{
return someMethodThatReturnsAString();
}
});
return str;
}
Here the method someMethodThatReturnsAString is in the super class and that class is in a third party jar which is also signed. somePublicMethod throws the following exception when called from Javascript
java.security.PrivilegedActionException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

This only happens in Safari in Mac OS X with Java 1.6 installed. Works as expected when Java 1.5 is installed on the client machine.
I saw similar questions here on StackOverflow that talked about AccessControlException thrown from signed applets. But this is different as the exception thrown is PrivilegedAccessException and the applet executes the code as a Privileged Action as suggested in the answers to those questions.
I have even tried using PrivilegedExceptionAction but that did not help. Has anybody encountered this before?
I found the solution for this. The problem was not with the applet but with the code in JavaScript which manipulates the string returned by the applet method. The string was treated as a Java object and not a JavaScript object and this was causing issues in Safari. Converting the Java string to JavaScript string solved the issue.
I could not get the full stack trace in the browser's error console so I relied on the Java console logs. The log messages were a bit misleading as it made appear that this error originated from the applet.

Jenkins slave throws "Classloading from system classloader disabled" exception

When running a Maven2 job on a slave instance (Master on AIX 5.3; slave on Windows 2008(R2)), I get the following message (complete stack trace pasted in below): "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Classloading from system classloader disabled". This happens with the first job after the slave instance is started (it's running as a Windows service). After that, I get a "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class hudson.maven.MavenModuleSetBuild" error.
If I create a freestyle job, and include the maven command as a batch command to run on the slave, it works fine. The Maven2 job appears to locate Maven on the slave machine, but it apparently can't find the maven-plugin (probably due to the classloading error).
I've searched and posted a ticket to the jenkins-ci site, but no luck as of yet. Has anyone run into this problem?

I had similar issue. Researched internet but did not get any solution. Finally debugged the jenkins/hudson and resolved this issue.
The root cause of this error is that recent versions of jenkin is shipped with xml parser within jenkins.war file. Looks like if your server already has this jar file, it won't let jenkin application to reload its own version of xml parsers. So to resolve this issue I have removed file xercesImpl-2.9.1.jar from WEB-INF/lib directory of jenkins.war file. After that replaced existing war file and restarted server. And it worked as without any problem.

Hudson build fails with Fatal Error (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: hudson.util.RemotingDiagnostics$HeapDump )

Hopefully, someone can point out what maybe the issue causing the Fatal Error I receive when doing a Maven build using Hudson.
I just installed an instance of Hudson in Tomcat on a Windows XP box in a test environment. I am a rather novice at Hudson. I am trying to do a simple Maven 'clean' on a small Java project that I know builds fine on another instance of Hudson on another server.
The stack trace from the Hudson console is below:
Thank you

[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you happen to copy and paste a job (or entire hudson root) directory from your previous hudson machine to the one you installed? The classnotfound exception is a product of hudson/xstream trying to unmarshall build configuration.
One reason this is happening is because you built the hudson on one machine with a version and then tried to copy and paste the build configuration to your local instance and run hudson with a different version.
My suggestion if thats the case is to synch up your local machine to have the same version of hudson that was previously run on.
I have not upgraded or used any other version of hudson or copied any tasks. I am also getting this error! Checking in Hudson I see the 1.395 version is available. I did however just install the M2 maven release plugin.... Seems its stuffs up 1.394? I didn't change my job to use it yet either yet it fails.
