how to save same model multiple times as new recode? - yii

I need to save same model($modelcrite) multiple times after changing a id here is the code
protected function saveed($data1,$studentid,$modelcrite,$model)
{
$index = 0;
foreach ($data1 as $key => $value) {
$studentid[$index]=(string)$key;
$modelcrite->setAttribute('st_id',$key);
if ($modelcrite->validate()){
$modelcrite->setScenario('insert');
$modelcrite->save();
}
else {
$this->Delete($model->ass_id);
return FALSE;
}
$index=$index+1;
}
return TRUE;
}
but the problem is when second time save the $modelcrite value it is updating the database.I need to save it as new one
please can any one tell how can i do that.thank you.

I believe that you confusion comes from the fact that an ActiveRecord model does not represent a table, but instead represents a row in the table. So changing the terminology a bit, when you pass in the new model(row) $modelcrite ActiveRecord recognizes that this is a new model(row), and the save performs an insert. At this point now Active record realizes that the model(row) exists in the table, and any additional saves against that model(row) will generate an update.
With that background in mind what you need to do is in your foreach loop create a new model for the insert, and set the attributes of the new model to $modelcrite, then set the student_id, then validate and save.
Something like this:
foreach ($data1 as $key => $value) {
$newModel = new CriteModel();
$newModel->attributes = $modelcrite->attributes;
$studentid[$index]=(string)$key;
$newModel->setAttribute('st_id',$key);
if ($newModel->validate()){
$newModel->save();

Get and manipulate data from elasticsearch

I am new to elasticsearch so I will need some help. Unfortunately, I didnt found the answer in other topics here on SO.
I have some .net core application which I inherited and now there is a need to implement some changes.
I already have a method of getting data from elasticsearch, but after getting them, I am not sure how to change it and use it in application.
To be precise, I need to parse first and last name and to remove special characters, specific serbian latin letters like "šđžčć" etc... I already have a method for this parsing written but not sure how to call it...
So, my question is can I and how can I do this?
What I have now is the following:
var result = await _elasticClient.SearchAsync<CachedUserEntity>(
s =>
s.Index(_aliasName)
.Query(q => andQuery));
CachedUserEntity, among others, contains property about FirstName and LastName.
Inside results.Documents, I am getting the data about FirstName and LastName from elasticsearch, but I am not sure how to access it in order to update it via aformentioned NameParser ...
Sorry if the question is too easy, not to say stupid :)
I wont use updateByQuery here, for some reasons. I would scroll on documents (i use matchAll on my exemple, you obviously need to replace it with your query), or, if you dont know how to identify documents to update, only update usefull documents in UpdateManyWithIndex/UpdateManyPartial function.
For performance, we have to update severals documents at once, so we use bulk/updateMany function.
You can use both solution, the classic update, or the second (partial update) with an object containing the targeteds fields.
On server sides, both solutions will have the same cost / performance.
var searchResponse = Client.Search<CachedUserEntity>(s => s
.Query(q => q
MatchAll()
)
.Scroll("10s")
);
while (searchResponse.Documents.Any())
{
List<CachedUserEntity> NewSearchResponse = RemoveChar(searchResponse);
UpdateManyWithIndex<CachedUserEntity>(NewSearchResponse, _aliasName);
searchResponse = Client.Scroll<Project>("2h", searchResponse.ScrollId);
}
public void UpdateManyWithIndex<C>(List<C> obj, string index) where C : class {
var bulkResponse = Client.Bulk(b => b
.Index(index).Refresh(Elasticsearch.Net.Refresh.WaitFor) // explicitly provide index name
.UpdateMany<C>(obj, (bu, d) => bu.Doc(d)));
}
Or, using partial update object
Note: in this case Indix is already set on my client (add .index if needed)
var searchResponse = Client.Search<CachedUserEntity>(s => s
.Query(q => q
MatchAll()
)
.Scroll("2h")
);
while (searchResponse.Documents.Any())
{
List<object> listPocoPartialObj = GetPocoPartialObjList(searchResponse);
UpdateManyPartial(listPocoPartialObj);
searchResponse = Client.Scroll<Project>("2h", searchResponse.ScrollId);
}
private List<object> GetPocoPartialObjList(List<CachedUserEntity> cachedList) {
List<object> listPoco = new List<object>();
//note if you dont have cachedList.Id, take a look at result.source, comments if needed
foreach (var eltCached in cachedList) {
listPoco.Add( new object() { Id = cachedList.Id, FirstName = YOURFIELDWITHOUTSPECIALCHAR, LastName = YOURSECONDFIELDWITHOUTSPECIALCHAR});
}
return listPoco;
}
public bool UpdateManyPartial(List<object> partialObj)
{
var bulkResponse = Client.Bulk(b => b
.Refresh(Elasticsearch.Net.Refresh.WaitFor)
.UpdateMany(partialObj, (bu, d) => bu.Doc(d))
);
if (!bulkResponse.IsValid)
{
GetErrorMsgs(bulkResponse);
}
return (bulkResponse?.IsValid == true);
}

Updating Handles for MatrixBlock "Field Layout Fields" in Craft CMS Migrations

After reading this excellent Medium article, I've been stoked on Migrations in CraftCMS. They've been super useful in importing the same changes across the 10 or so developers who work on our site.
When trying to change the handles on individual fields within block types within matrix blocks (whew) via migrations, I came across a hurdle. The field itself can easily have its "handle" attribute updated, but the columns table for that matrix block's content (matrixcontent_xxxxx) do not get updated to reflect any updated handles. The association between the Matrix Block & its associated Matrix Content table only exists in the info column in the field record for that Matrix Block.
If the Matrix Block's field is updated via the CMS, the change is reflected, so it's gotta be somewhere in Craft's source, but it's not apparent through the Craft CMS Class Reference.
Any ideas?
Edited to add the migration snippet:
public function safeUp()
{
// Strings for labels, etc.
$matrix_block_instructions = "instructions";
$block_label = "Video";
$block_handle = "video";
$field_handle = "video_url";
$field_label = "Video URL";
$field_instructions = "Add a YouTube or Facebook video URL.";
// Fetching the MatrixBlock fields used on the entries themselves
$video_gallery_1 = Craft::$app->fields->getFieldByHandle("handle_1");
$video_gallery_2 = Craft::$app->fields->getFieldByHandle("handle_2");
$video_gallery_3 = Craft::$app->fields->getFieldByHandle("handle_3");
$galleries = [$video_gallery_1, $video_gallery_2, $video_gallery_3];
foreach( $galleries as $gallery ) {
// Fetching the record for this specific MatrixBlock field.
$gallery_record = \craft\records\Field::find()->where(
['id' => $gallery->id]
)->one();
// Fetching the record for this specific MatrixBlockType
$gallery_block_id = $gallery->getBlockTypes()[0]->id;
$gallery_block = \craft\records\MatrixBlockType::find()->where(
['id' => $gallery_block_id]
)->one();
// Assigning standard labels for the MatrixBlockType
$gallery_block->name = $block_label;
$gallery_block->handle = $block_handle;
$gallery_block->update();
// Getting the specific ... 1 ... field to edit
$field_group = \craft\records\FieldLayout::find()->where(
['id' => $gallery_block->fieldLayoutId]
)->one();
$field_layout_field = $field_group->fields[0];
$field = $field_layout_field->field;
$field = \craft\records\Field::find()->where(
['id' => $field->id]
)->one();
// Assigning standard labels for the Label
$field->name = $field_label;
$field->handle = $field_handle;
$field->instructions = $field_instructions;
$field->update();
// Updating the MatrixBlock record with new instructions
$gallery_record->refresh();
$gallery_record->instructions = $matrix_block_instructions;
$gallery_record->update();
}
OK, so my apologies if anyone was stoked on figuring this out, but my approach above was kind of a crazy person's approach, but I've found my own solution.
The key here is that I should have been interacting with craft\fields\MatrixBlock and the craft\fields\PlainText objects, not craft\records\Field objects. There's a method within \craft\services\Fields for saving the field that requires a FieldInterface implemented. This is actually the default classes returned, and I was making more work for myself in the code!
Within that foreach loop, this worked out:
// Fetching the record for this specific MatrixBlock field.
$gallery->instructions = $matrix_block_instructions;
// Update the MatrixBlockType
$gallery_block_id = $gallery->getBlockTypes()[0]->id;
$gallery_block = \craft\records\MatrixBlockType::find()->where(
['id' => $gallery_block_id]
)->one();
$gallery_block->name = $block_label;
$gallery_block->handle = $block_handle;
$gallery_block->update();
// Update the actual field.
$field = $gallery->blockTypeFields[0];
$field->name = $field_label;
$field->handle = $field_handle;
$field->instructions = $field_instructions;
Craft::$app->getFields()->saveField( $field );
Craft::$app->getFields()->saveField( $gallery );
Thanks for looking at this, and sorry for being a crazy person.

Magento - Module INSERT,UPDATE, DELETE, SELECT code

I created a module and want to used core write and read function to insert,update,delete or select database value with condition, how can I do it without using SQL?
Example:
$customer_id=123
Model=(referral/referral)
SELECT
$collection3 = Mage::getModel('referral/referral')->getCollection();
$collection3->addFieldToFilter('customer_id', array('eq' => $customer_id));
foreach($collection3 as $data1)
{
$ref_cust_id.= $data1->getData('referral_customer_id');
}
INSERT
$collection1= Mage::getModel('referral/referral');
$collection1->setData('customer_id',$customer_id)->save();
DELETE,UPDATE(with condition)=???
Suppose, I have a module named mynews.
Here follows the code to select, insert, update, and delete data from the news table.
INSERT DATA
$data contains array of data to be inserted. The key of the array should be the database table’s field name and the value should be the value to be inserted.
$data = array('title'=>'hello there','content'=>'how are you? i am fine over here.','status'=>1);
$model = Mage::getModel('mynews/mynews')->setData($data);
try {
$insertId = $model->save()->getId();
echo "Data successfully inserted. Insert ID: ".$insertId;
} catch (Exception $e){
echo $e->getMessage();
}
SELECT DATA
$item->getData() prints array of data from ‘news’ table.
$item->getTitle() prints the only the title field.
Similarly, to print content, we need to write $item->getContent().
$model = Mage::getModel('mynews/mynews');
$collection = $model->getCollection();
foreach($collection as $item){
print_r($item->getData());
print_r($item->getTitle());
}
UPDATE DATA
$id is the database table row id to be updated.
$data contains array of data to be updated. The key of the array should be the database table’s field name and the value should be the value to be updated.
// $id = $this->getRequest()->getParam('id');
$id = 2;
$data = array('title'=>'hello test','content'=>'test how are you?','status'=>0);
$model = Mage::getModel('mynews/mynews')->load($id)->addData($data);
try {
$model->setId($id)->save();
echo "Data updated successfully.";
} catch (Exception $e){
echo $e->getMessage();
}
DELETE DATA
$id is the database table row id to be deleted.
// $id = $this->getRequest()->getParam('id');
$id = 3;
$model = Mage::getModel('mynews/mynews');
try {
$model->setId($id)->delete();
echo "Data deleted successfully.";
} catch (Exception $e){
echo $e->getMessage();
}
In this way you can perform select, insert, update and delete in your custom module and in any magento code.
Source: http://blog.chapagain.com.np/magento-how-to-select-insert-update-and-delete-data/
UPDATE is basically the combination of SELECT and INSERT. You load a collection, iterate over them setting the values as needed, then call ->save() on each model.
DELETE is handled directly via the ->delete() functon of models. So either load a single model or iterate over a SELECTed collection of them and call ->delete()
(Not that due to the iteration, this is not the 'fastest' way of doing these operations on collections (because each one is going to generate a new query, instead of a single query that handles multiple deletes at once), but the performance is fine for either small data sets/SELECTs (less than 1k?) or for things that you don't do very often (like importing or updating prices ok 10k products once per day).
FOR UPDATE
$new=$this->getRequest()->getParams();
$id=$new['id'];
$name=$new['name'];
$con=Mage::getModel('plugin/plugin')->load($id);
$con->setData('name',$name)->save();
echo "Update Success";
FOR DELETE
$id = $this->getRequest()->getParam('id');
$model = Mage::getModel('plugin/plugin');
$model->setId($id)->delete();
echo "Data deleted successfully.";
You can use select query like this also. its very easy.
$salesInvoiceCollection_sql = "SELECT `entity_id` , `increment_id`,`order_id`
FROM `sales_flat_invoice`
WHERE `erp_invoice_id` = 0
ORDER BY `entity_id`
DESC limit 1000";
$salesInvoiceCollection = Mage::getSingleton('core/resource')->getConnection('core_read')->fetchAll($salesInvoiceCollection_sql);
If you want to delete with condition based on collection you can use addFieldToFilter, addAttributeToFilter
$model = Mage::getModel('mynews/mynews')->getCollection();
try {
$model->addAttributeToFilter('status', array('eq' => 1));
$model->walk('delete');
echo "Data deleted successfully.";
} catch (Exception $e){
echo $e->getMessage();
}

Using boolean fields with Magento ORM

I am working on a backend edit page for my custom entity. I have almost everything working, including saving a bunch of different text fields. I have a problem, though, when trying to set the value of a boolean field.
I have tried:
$landingPage->setEnabled(1);
$landingPage->setEnabled(TRUE);
$landingPage->setEnabled(0);
$landingPage->setEnabled(FALSE);
None seem to persist a change to my database.
How are you supposed to set a boolean field using magento ORM?
edit
Looking at my database, mysql is storing the field as a tinyint(1), so magento may be seeing this as an int not a bool. Still can't get it to set though.
This topic has bring curiosity to me. Although it has been answered, I'd like to share what I've found though I didn't do intense tracing.
It doesn't matter whether the cache is enabled / disabled, the table schema will be cached.
It will be cached during save process.
Mage_Core_Model_Abstract -> save()
Mage_Core_Model_Resource_Db_Abstract -> save(Mage_Core_Model_Abstract $object)
Mage_Core_Model_Resource_Db_Abstract
public function save(Mage_Core_Model_Abstract $object)
{
...
//any conditional will eventually call for:
$this->_prepareDataForSave($object);
...
}
protected function _prepareDataForSave(Mage_Core_Model_Abstract $object)
{
return $this->_prepareDataForTable($object, $this->getMainTable());
}
Mage_Core_Model_Resource_Abstract
protected function _prepareDataForTable(Varien_Object $object, $table)
{
$data = array();
$fields = $this->_getWriteAdapter()->describeTable($table);
foreach (array_keys($fields) as $field) {
if ($object->hasData($field)) {
$fieldValue = $object->getData($field);
if ($fieldValue instanceof Zend_Db_Expr) {
$data[$field] = $fieldValue;
} else {
if (null !== $fieldValue) {
$fieldValue = $this->_prepareTableValueForSave($fieldValue, $fields[$field]['DATA_TYPE']);
$data[$field] = $this->_getWriteAdapter()->prepareColumnValue($fields[$field], $fieldValue);
} else if (!empty($fields[$field]['NULLABLE'])) {
$data[$field] = null;
}
}
}
}
return $data;
}
See the line: $fields = $this->_getWriteAdapter()->describeTable($table);
Varien_Db_Adapter_Pdo_Mysql
public function describeTable($tableName, $schemaName = null)
{
$cacheKey = $this->_getTableName($tableName, $schemaName);
$ddl = $this->loadDdlCache($cacheKey, self::DDL_DESCRIBE);
if ($ddl === false) {
$ddl = parent::describeTable($tableName, $schemaName);
/**
* Remove bug in some MySQL versions, when int-column without default value is described as:
* having default empty string value
*/
$affected = array('tinyint', 'smallint', 'mediumint', 'int', 'bigint');
foreach ($ddl as $key => $columnData) {
if (($columnData['DEFAULT'] === '') && (array_search($columnData['DATA_TYPE'], $affected) !== FALSE)) {
$ddl[$key]['DEFAULT'] = null;
}
}
$this->saveDdlCache($cacheKey, self::DDL_DESCRIBE, $ddl);
}
return $ddl;
}
As we can see:
$ddl = $this->loadDdlCache($cacheKey, self::DDL_DESCRIBE);
will try to load the schema from cache.
If the value is not exists: if ($ddl === false)
it will create one: $this->saveDdlCache($cacheKey, self::DDL_DESCRIBE, $ddl);
So the problem that occurred in this question will be happened if we ever save the model that is going to be altered (add column, etc).
Because it has ever been $model->save(), the schema will be cached.
Later after he add new column and "do saving", it will load the schema from cache (which is not containing the new column) and resulting as: the data for new column is failed to be saved in database
Delete var/cache/* - your DB schema is cached by Magento even though the new column is already added to the MySQL table.

RavenDB Paging Behaviour

I have the following test for skip take -
[Test]
public void RavenPagingBehaviour()
{
const int count = 2048;
var eventEntities = PopulateEvents(count);
PopulateEventsToRaven(eventEntities);
using (var session = Store.OpenSession(_testDataBase))
{
var queryable =
session.Query<EventEntity>().Customize(x => x.WaitForNonStaleResultsAsOfLastWrite()).Skip(0).Take(1024);
var entities = queryable.ToArray();
foreach (var eventEntity in entities)
{
eventEntity.Key = "Modified";
}
session.SaveChanges();
queryable = session.Query<EventEntity>().Customize(x => x.WaitForNonStaleResultsAsOfLastWrite()).Skip(0).Take(1024);
entities = queryable.ToArray();
foreach (var eventEntity in entities)
{
Assert.AreEqual(eventEntity.Key, "Modified");
}
}
}
PopulateEventsToRaven simply adds 2048 very simple documents to the database.
The first skip take combination gets the first 1024 doucuments modifies the documents and then commits changes.
The next skip take combination again wants to get the first 1024 documents but this time it gets the document number 1024 to 2048 and hence fails the test. Why is this , I would expect the first 1024 again?
Edit: I have varified that if I dont modify the documents the behaviour is fine.
The problem is that you don't specify an order by, and that means that RavenDB is free to choose with items to return, those aren't necessarily going to be the same items that it returned in the previous call.
Use an OrderBy and it will be consistent.
