I have included following to make it done. But Javascript elements on page are not working due to this.
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$.get("header.html", function(data) {
$("#header").html(data);
});
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="header"></div>
<content>
</content>
</body>
</html>
If you can manage to setup a virtual server like XAMPP on your machine, then using PHP, you can include header and footer on just any page you want with a single line of code.
<header><?php include 'header.php';?></header>
and footer with
<footer><?php include 'footer.php';?></footer>

what seems to be wrong here i dont get any error but at the same time no progress in routing. .

var app = angular.module('myApp', ['ngRoute', 'ngAnimate', 'ngResource', 'ui.bootstrap']);
app.config(function($routeProvider) {
$routeProvider

templateUrl : 'index.html'
})
.when('/home', {
templateUrl : 'homepage.html'
})
.otherwise({
templateUrl : 'index.html'
});
});
when i load '/' in my browser nothins is happening same with /home i dont know where did i get wrong since there is no error in my console
The template for a route should be a partial view. Here index.html is the root of the single page app , this page should never reload (unless you want to destroy and rebootstrap the app). Try changing the templateUrl for / to a file that just has <h2> HELLO WORLD!</h2> and monitor the console (dev tools) for any 404 errors related to fetching the template
I think problem is with your javascript file name. In index you mentioned mainpage.js and in description its homepage.js.
Edit : Okay. Then try arranging files list like
<script type="text/javascript" src="/myAngularApp/css/angular/angular.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/myAngularApp/css/angular/angular-animate.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/myAngularApp/css/angular/angular-resource.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/myAngularApp/css/angular/angular-route.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/myAngularApp/css/bootstrap/ui-bootstrap-tpls-2.2.0.min.js"></script>
<script src="/myAngularApp/css/mainpage.js"></script>
As mentioned in the answer by user Priyanka, the filename can be the issue. But that should produce an error on the console and according to you there was no error on the console.
The other possible reason can be the sequence in which you've imported your files. I generally sequence my files this way -
<head>
<!-- 1. External CSS Libraries likes bootstrap, jquery -->
<!-- 2. My Application specific CSS files -->
<!-- 3. External JS libraries like Angular, bootstrap, JQuery -->
<!-- 4. My Application specific JS files like my controllers, services, directives etc.
</head>
Again the sequence in which you import the external JS libraries may also cause problems.
I am trying to workout a HelloWorld example of Bootstrap3 and X-editable. I am attaching my page source code in this post. I am facing two issues.
I am getting the following error when i use mode as 'popup' as soon as i click on the editable link.
TypeError: this.getCalculatedOffset is not a function
If i switch from popup to inline at-least the page appears however, the buttons dont appear correctly.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Page Source is below:-
<!DOCTYPE html>

Your bootstrap css and js files must be from 2.xx version of bootstrap, that's a problem.
Use x-editable for bootstrap 2 or update your bootstrap to version 3+.
I had the same issue after upgrading from Bootstrap 2 to Bootstrap 3.
I had upgraded Bootstrap's CSS, X-Editable's CSS and JS, but had forgotten to upgrade Bootstrap's JS which was still for v2.
Don't forget to update all files:
Bootstrap 3 .css and .js
X-Editable for Bootstrap 3 .css and .js
Probably a bit late, but hopefully that can still help someone.
I'm having trouble getting even a simple use of angular-ui up and running. I want to be able to easily detect keypresses, for instance, to automatically add an item after pressing enter in a text box without having to press an Add button.
Here's my current attempt:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html ng-app xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>Main</title>
<link rel="stylesheet", href="http://angular-ui.github.com/angular-ui/build/angular-ui.css" />
</head>
<body ng-controller="Ctrl">
<button ng-click="add()">Add</button>
<input type="text" ui-keypress="{enter: 'add()'}" />
{{item}}
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.16/jquery-ui.min.js"> </script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.0.3/angular.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://angular-ui.github.com/angular-ui/build/angular-ui.js"></script>
<script src="main.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
var myApp = angular.module('myApp', ['ui.directives']);
function Ctrl($scope) {
$scope.item = "";
$scope.add = function () {
$scope.item = "Item Added";
}
}
You can see the behavior here: http://jsfiddle.net/NbjZL/5/. Note that clicking the button after typing text works, but pressing enter after typing text does not. I've read what documentation I can find and have looked at several examples, but I'm sure I'm still missing some small thing.
Angular ui was not able to find the angular app. All you need to do is to specify the app name in ng-app to get it working.
<html ng-app="myModule" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
Check the js fiddle to see the code work
I read a lot about how to add stuff dynamically in jquery mobile, but I couldn't figure out how to add links.
Currently my solution looks like this:
Add a new Page - with id (id="list-1")
Creating a Link for it (href="#list-1")
This solution works perfectly in static pages, but I want to do it dynamically. I have tried a lot with page() and stuff like that but nothing helped me.
My questions are:
How do I add dynamic links & pages?
Did I choose the right way to use ids & anchors (#list-1) as links or is there another solution for jquery mobile?
Let me know if you need more information
To add dynamic links, I have found the easiest way is to just have an event listener waiting for a click on those links. This event listener then saves any parameters you want to pass into the next page you are visiting. You pass the parameters from the list element to the event listener by just specifying parameters within each "li" element.
(create the HTML for a list dynamically & store it into list-1-html)
$("div#my-page div[data-role=content]").html(list-1-html);
$("div.list-1 ul").listview();
$("div.list-1 ul").listview('refresh');
Then your event listener would look something like:
$('#my-page').delegate('li', 'click', function() {
passedParameter = $(this).get(0).getAttribute('passed-parameter');
});
When jQuery Mobile loads your next page, you'll probably want to load this page dynamically and you'll have this passedParameter variable available to you. To load the page dynamically, just add a listener that waits for JQM to try to load the page:
$('[data-role=page]').live('pageshow',function(e, ui){
page_name = e.target.id;
if (page_name == 'my-page-2'){
(do something with passedParameter)
}
});
This is the workflow I use with jQuery Mobile and it has been working just fine. I'm guessing in future releases, though, that they'll build in some kind of support for passing dynamic parameters to pages.
Any new enhancement to the DOM should be done before the page initializes. But by default JQM automatically initializes the page once the page is load in browser.
Hence first you need to set autoInitializePage property to false and then call initializePage() method after the new page and links are add to the document. Hope this helps.

I need to change the dojo namespace to something else. I found this stackoverflow post, but it refers to a dojo documentation page that no longer exists. Below is something I tried based on this page, but didn't work:
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/dojo/1.4/dojo/dojo.xd.js" djConfig="scopeMap: [[ 'dojo', 'newns' ]]"></script>
<script>
newns.addOnLoad(function(){
console.debug("hello world");
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>
Help!
I just pulled the document out of the old Dojo book and put it in the new doc system:
http://docs.dojocampus.org/multiversion/index
For your specific example, the djConfig object needs to be declared in a script tag before the Dojo file loads, and it is recommended that you map dijit and dojox too:
<html>
<head>
<script>
var djConfig = {
scopeMap: [
['dojo', 'newns'],
['dijit', 'newnsw'],
['dojox', 'newnsx']
]
}
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/dojo/1.4/dojo/dojo.xd.js"></script>
<script>
newns.addOnLoad(function(){
console.debug("hello world");
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>
