I've been trying to figure out what the endpoint is for capturing
and posting Yammer Notes but am not able to find it, does anyone
know what it is? I had originally though it was Notifications
but that doesn't seem to be it. Thanks
There is no endpoint for notes. If you are a verified administrator you can use the Data Export API to capture network data including notes, but you can't post or update them.

I'm writting a new post, because all of topics that was related with getting Instagram Direct message via API are a little bit old.
Do anyone knows if there is a possibility of GET Direct Messages via API or in some programatically way?
Right now, it doesn't look like you can. The Instagram Graph API docs don't mention direct messages at all. The old Instagram API never had this.
Take a look to the Component InstagramApiSharp, it contains this functionnality. There are some actions that you can built for the direct message with it.
I would like to understand how I can send a notification to HipChat when a new record / item is inserted into a Podio app.
I can see that if I pay more money that additional options are made available via the workflows Podio provides utilising Globiflow, but with a large number of users this isn't possible for us.
I have then looked into the Hooks that a Podio app provides, but because this is auto-validated I don't see how I can use this with HipChat.
Does anyone have any experience of this and integrating Podio with HipChat to post a new notification into a HipChat room?
I have used the free trial at Zapier, and got it working, but would ideally like to avoid yet another solution.
Podio doesn't provide direct integration with HipChat, so you will have to use something else as communication layer between Podio and HipChat. It could be your own service that will receive webhooks from Podio and post messages to HipChat. Or it could be some other solution that will do something very similar.
From what I've seen so far, Zapier looks like it'll do what I need. Shame I have to pay though for one 'simple' connector task.
I am using the twitter api to get all direct messages
while testing I tried to delete a message from the twitter website and then tried to reload my app's direct message page (get via api) - the dm I deleted was still showing in my app but it wasn't on the account I was using on the website.
I'm not sure whats going on here, any help is appreciated
You usually should give a second after an update/delete operation on Twitter. If you do, I would say that something is going wrong with your code.
I have been trying for the past several hours to make an authenticated request to the docker hub api. First of all, let me say that their documentation is very unclear. There are several different subdomains that you have to cycle through. The ones I have seen are index.dockerhub.io, registry-1.docker.io/v1/ auth.docker.com/token. There were others. But you get the point. Its like their api is managed by 30 different people or something and they forgot to have a meeting about how to unify their api. It feels like I have read just about everything I could find on the internet about how to do what I am trying to do, and it still is very unclear to me what I am supposed to do.
Their documentation states that I am supposed to get an auth token before making certain request. Ok. Fine. How do I do that? I got lucky and stumbled across the endpoint, https://auth.docker.io/v2/token/ no thanks to their api. I found it by just guessing. I don't know that version 2 is capable of even doing what I am trying to do.
What steps do I need to take to make authenticated request to the dockerhub api. What I am trying to do more specifically, is I am trying to query information about the given images that are on the hub, like the size of the images, and the basic port information that is available. I know its possible, because I have used services that do it. So, how do you properly authenticate request to get this information?
So after a few more hours of working on this problem, I came across someone who had similar issues and wrote a blog post about exactly how to solve it. The short answer is the endpoint that was missing from the docker api documentation is https://cdn-registry-1.docker.io/v1/. Why didn't they document their api better? I don't know. If anyone wants to read the full article about how this is done, you can find it at http://www.appcontainers.com/requesting-image-information-using-the-public-docker-api/
This was the most helpful article I have found on the subject. Hopefully this will help some other poor soul who is trapped in the confusion known as the docker api.
I found this post on getting Notified when a file changes on dropbox. The problem is that the "/delta" API endpoint requires polling. I want instead to subscribe to events about file changes.
Ideally, I could subscribe to both "new file" and "file updated" events for a specific folder. I could then give dropbox a URL pointing to my own app that would be called when those events occurred. This is similar to how Twilio works. You can provide a URL to be POSTed to whenever your phone number receives a text message, and then your app can respond to POSTs to that URL however it wants. This seems like a much more elegant solution than polling -- is there any way to do it with the dropbox API?
UPDATE 6/5/2014
We actually have webhooks now: https://www.dropbox.com/developers/webhooks
(original reply below)
No, Dropbox doesn't support this.
BTW, the general term for the sort of notification you describe is a "webhook."
http://developers.box.com/webhooks/
it seems like Box API has webhook. You may want to try it.
I received an email today regarding Dropbox WebHooks that is in the beta phase:

Happy Dropboxing!
Dropbox now offers webhooks, although not with a event_type filter
