I am trying to access to remote server via ssh. I couldn't do it via ssh command in CLI, but with same credentials I can access via putty ssh.
I am using ubuntu 12.04.
I don't have access to ssh server, so I can't change sshd config file.
Access to ssh server is possible form other machines via ssh CLI command, but from my mashine this is not working. Credentials are proper because I can connect via putty, and I don't get any message from server when I enter password. It just close connection.
command i use to connect via ssh in CLI is:
ssh -vv someuser#somehost.com
This is output:

First you can try with ssh -o GSSAPIAuthentication=no someuser#somehost.com ; it should make the Unspecified GSS failure messages disappear.
Then, if you are able to connect with putty, you can connect and then run sshd in debug mode on a higher port (you do not need to be root to do that, but you need no firewall blocking all the ports) :
/usr/sbin/sshd -d -e -p1234
and then you can try to connect in CLI with
ssh -p 1234 someuser#somehost.com
and you will see, in your putty session, the reason why the server closes the connection.
Check /etc/ssh/sshd_config for one of the following,
LoginGraceTime and make sure that is set to a time limit that you can enter your password. Otherwise it will close the connection if your request doesn't get authenticated within the timeframe. (example: this will give you a 1min window, LoginGraceTime 60)
"UseDNS no" will make sure sshd would not try to resolve the hostname. If the ssh client computer and the server are using two different nameservers and they point to different IPs for the same hostname might end up locking you out. So "UseDNS no" would resolve such problems.
"PasswordAuthentication yes" will make sure the SSHd accepts user entered passwords.
That's all I have come across for this issue.

maybe from this is posible to tell how can i edit the ansible.cfg ?
Set ansible_ssh_common_args and specify valid key algorithms and ciphers for your SSH server.
For example, in an inventory file
[servers]
10.0.0.1 ansible_ssh_common_args="-o HostKeyAlgorithms=ssh-rsa -o KexAlgorithms=diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 -o Ciphers=aes256-cbc,3des-cbc -o MACs=hmac-md5,hmac-sha2-512"
You may check the output of ssh -vv to your device first in order to obtain supported algorithms.
You can also check if there's a module (https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/list_of_network_modules.html) for the device you're trying to connect.
I'm facing a login issue with SSH (dsa), here the scenario:
On my host I've created ssh keys for the user dx and set permission
of .ssh and id_dsa and id_dsa.pub
I sent the public key to the
remote provider, he installed the public key in the home directory
of the user cmc and he set permission for .ssh and authorized_keys
file
When I try to ssh into the machine I'm asked for a password; telnet to the host works fine instead.
This my command:
ssh -i /home/dx/.ssh/id_dsa cmc#212.183.xxx.xxx -vv

Where the issue could be? Could be to 2 different user name?
Thanks!
If the remote provider copied the key you sent to the appropriate location, it should be working.
If you can ssh using a password for the user cmc, copy the key you have created using:
ssh-copy-id -i /home/dx/.ssh/id_dsa.pub cmc#212.183.xxx.xxx
Supply the password for cmc. After that you will be able to to run your command ssh -i /home/dx/.ssh/id_dsa cmc#212.183.xxx.xxx without issues.

Note:
If I use ssh in my pi, it works. But from other systems, I am unable to access.
The password I entered is correct. No issues there.
I reinstalled ssh in pi, still it does not work.
I tried disabling GSSAPI from a windows machine(just cross-checking).Still no connection
I googled the issue and I could not arrive at a solution
Ping works from
any system to the pi.
Any help is appreciated.
So the solution is sort of intuitive. The keyboard layout between the Pi and ubuntu system were not the same and hence gave out error while giving password which was unknown to the user.
I'm trying to deploy to a server environment using Ansible. I have correctly added my public ssh key to the server's authorized keys file.

Any ideas? Thanks!
I just realized that I need to add a remote_user to the playbook. Whoops!
I'll answer this here in case it helps someone.

I've been accessing my EC2 instance via SSH on Win7. I'm not trying to ssh it on another pc on Ubuntu 12.04, getting a "Permission denied (publickey)." error. I've been searching for this problem, and tried the following:
Deleted the existing key and created/downloaded a new one on EC2 dashboard.
Placed the new key in my ~/.ssh folder.
Changed the access permissions of the key with this command (Also tried 400):
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/leno.pem
Changed the access permissions of the .ssh folder with this command (Also tried 700):
chmod 755 ~/.ssh
Tried doing this as well:
add-ssh ~/.ssh/leno.pem
No luck. When I try run the following:
ssh -vvv -i ~/.ssh/leno.pem ubuntu#ec2-50-19-199-128.compute-1.amazonaws.com
I get this message:

How can I access my EC2 insance via ssh? What am I doing wrong?
When you do this:
Deleted the existing key and created/downloaded a new one on EC2
dashboard.
You do not change the key on existing instances. All you do is create a new key that could be assigned to newly launched instances.
You are connecting to the instance and it is responding. When you get this error it means that either the user you are connecting to does not exist, or your public key is not installed in that users authorized_keys file.
I resolved this problem by following below steps:
1- Grant permission to you ssh-key.pem with this command:
chmod 400 ssh-key.pem
2- Use command ssh-keygen to get publicKey and copy it:
ssh-keygen -y -f ssh-key.pem
3- Open your AWS console and select your instance and click on connect button.
4- Click on EC2 Instance connect and click on button connect to open remote terminal.
5- After that execute command:
vi ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
6- Change server key by your local generated key on step2.
7- Save your file.
8- open your local terminal.
9- Use this command to connect:
ssh -i ssh-key.pem ubuntu#yourIpAdress
I got this error:
Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic).
The resolution was adding the ec2-user (default user) before the public dns.
