I spent the last 3 hours trying to get WCFExtras to output my XML comments to my WSDL using the steps they describe on the codeplex site among other places. Eventually I discovered WCFExtras was also generating a second WSDL available as a single file and that the XML comments were in that file.
My question is - since I can't find this information anywhere - is that how it's supposed to work? Is the intention of WCFExtras never to attempt to output the XML Comments in the WSDL WCF is already automatically generating? Am I supposed to generate this other WSDL file from now on if I am interested in having these comments?
I hope someone here knows. Thanks!
I spent some time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, and I forgot to check the XML documentation file checkbox, on Properties -> Build. Thanks Vo Thanh Vinh.
Now, the WSDL includes the wsdl:documentation tags, but I have another problem: the wsdl:documentation contains the full XML documentation, including <summary> tags.
I'll update the answer if I find out something else.

I have a config.yml file that has some comments like:
#Thats the message when someone joins to the server
Message: Hello User
But when I save the config.yml file and open again it vanishes and can't be saved.
I tried to search some api for this problem but could not find.
I dont want to use
saveDefaultConfig();
or
getConfig().options.copydefault(true);
saveConfig();
because I dont want to save this trough code. I want to save this with api.
What api should I use?
I would recommend you to use the Spigot API, on my opinion it's the better one
Both API's only support ONE comment in the header section of the config. If you want to save more than one comment you should code your own YAMLConfiguration
To save this one header you should try
getConfig().options().header("Your Comment");
getConfig().options().copyHeader(true)
You can seperate the comment with \n into mutliple lines
You can create a config.yml inside your src folder which will be included into the jar. You can set your default values and any comments by editing this file in your IDE. All you have to do in your main class is calling saveDefaultConfig(); in your onEnable(). After that, you can use getConfig() to access your configuration.
Thats sadly not possible when using the given Tools!
You need to manually write your own ConfigManager where you can do that!
Here is what I got: https://mega.nz/#!lsIkVYhD!knZr5DBmbvPyJh8ONeNx4pfb7Q0C9yuIp6FHiyJmhBw
It may however have a few bugs :D
As stated, the Yaml API provided with Bukkit will strip comments when it is written to. So you can comment your resource config file but comments are lost when it is saved or re-written by the API.
My preferred Yaml handler is SimplixStorage. It handles comments well both at the top and anywhere inside a yaml file. I also found SimpleConfig which allows you to add header, add comments (which are not removed on file saves), as well as add to config with your code.
I followed the instructions here on establishing a new provider and generating custom URLs, and it works as expected. There doesn't seem to be a clear reference for what parameters can be utilized in the settings as the example given is very basic.
I want to use the category name of the post in the URL. I tried:
/[Category]/[UrlName]
but what I got in the frontend was:
http://localhost:60327/my-page/Telerik.OpenAccess.TrackedList%601[System.Guid]/my-post-name
I also tried
/[Category.Title]/[UrlName]
which just threw errors.
Anyone know how to do this, or better yet, a good reference for the parameters?
I don't think this is possible since the Category property is actually a collection (TrackedList).
In theory you would need one of the collection items, let's say the first one, and your URL expression would be /[Category[0].Title]/[UrlName], but this is currently not supported by the expression parser.
Also, the idea of making the URL dependent on a complex (related) field is not a good idea. If someone deletes that category, they will break all your blog post URLs.
I would suggest you to create a custom text field for the blog post item (ex: CategoryUrl) and then you should be able to set the URL format to /[CategoryUrl]/[UrlName]. Make sure CategoryUrl field is required.
I'm using swaggydoc plugin on my grails application to document the REST APIs. I have two versions of API, v0 and v1 and corresponding controllers with same name, one for each version like:
directory structure
and i have the Url mapping like "/my2api/v1"(controller:"api",namespace:'v1')
"/myapi/v0" (controller:"api", namespace:'v0')
and getting both versions of the API endpoints listed as /myapi/v0/activeContracts like here.
So my question is, how can I get the API end point listed with correct URLs with corresponding versions like /myapi/v0/activeContracts & /myapi/v1/activeContracts as i mentioned I've tried the mapping but it ill just pickup the first the last mapping and assign it to both versions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For people facing the same prob, I couldn't find a solution using swaggyDocs and also came across some post suggesting it doesn't support API versioning so ended up switching to Grails RestApiDoc which provides a lot more control (changing the API conf by just editing the json) than I was able to get on swaggyDocs. But please do post if someone knows a way to work it out in swaggyDoc.
I'm having a problem when trying to A/B test certain nodes in my node-tree in Umbraco.
What I want to do is to copy a node in the node-tree to a specific spot and use that B-structure to see which of the structures works best, using Google analytics.
For example we have two node structures, let's call them "Private" and "Sweden".
Their structure with childnodes and properties are exactly the same. The only difference between them is the propertyvalues (content). The "Private"-URL is www.mysite.com/Private and the "Sweden"-URL is www.mysite.com/Sweden.
What I would like to do is to change every link on the B-structure, so that it points to its match at the A-structure. The problem is that since it's two different structures, it will have two different alternative links.
With other words, it should be a coinsidence that it enters the B-structure, then be moved back to the A-structure in the next click.
We manage what page it should load (either the A-node or the B-node) with scripts, so that it has a 50% chance for each node, and if it lands on the B-node, Google analytics will save data. What we can't manage is that every link on that page will be to the A-node.
I'd appreciate any help I can get.

David
There's a couple of ways that seem likely to give you a start at least.
The /config/urlrewriting.config file allows you to set up multiple redirect rules within umbraco so a section like the following might work in sending all requests (whether (/sweden/pagename/ or /private/pagename/) back to the private structure. Not sure how GA will handle it:
rewriteUrlParameter="ExcludeFromClientQueryString" destinationUrl="http://www.mysite.com/private/$1" redirect="Domain" redirectMode="Permanent" ignoreCase="true" />
Secondly a simple httpmodule (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307996) can process all page requests and redirect as required - you could do a gaq_push here directly or indirectly.
I'd be interested to know how you get on - it seems a good area for extension to Umbraco.
I'm not sure I have understood perfectly what you need to do, so please excuse any assumptions that may prove mistaken. Here's what I think:
Since A & B nodes should share the same html content (besides the links of course), why don't you make the link href attribute dynamic by using a bit of razor in the template or macro:
#{var isANode = CurrentPage.Parent.Name == "Sweden"; }
A similar approach would work if you are using web forms.
We finally came to the final decision to use the alternative template-solution. Since there seem to be no generic solution for my case of this problem we had to create an alternative template with specific macros to render the different information for every documenttype we're using.
Creating dynamic links for every page is a hell of a job in this stage in the project, since there are so many pages and links. Also some links are made in javascript, so there's another problem.
I copied the a-structure to another node, only for the reason to be able to change propertyvalues. There might be a problem logging and track the information with Google Analytics though, so that's the next step for us in this project. In our alternative templates we're getting the propertyvalues from the b-structure.
Still, if anyone have some better solution I'd highly appreciate it!

I have a Search web reference (from a Search Server 2010 express install) in a vb.net application that is utilizing the QueryService Class to search a production Sharepoint foundation 2010 site.
At a previous point in time, we had created a proof of concept on an entirely test system that has since been turfed. From my recollection on this test system when documents were uploaded as a specific site content type (that inherits from document) and metadata was provided, we could search for specific metadata by making managed properties for each, and search results would be returned as documents (with the isdocument flag set to true). Viewing the document then became simple, as we could simply use the filename and path to display the stored file.
Now we are developing a production system and we have encountered a new behavior, where these results now are returned as aspx results such as
http://digitizaton/Company/Client Documents/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=1703
This of course makes it terribly difficult to locate and view the document, we can extract the Title which will then give us the name of the file with no extension, but that hardly helps, as the FileExtension data is aspx, not the documents file extension, so we don't have a full filename. We could display the page returned as a result, but would much prefer the document itself.
I've made a test document library, with just bare bones setup, (not using the site content type, or site columns) and uploaded some documents on the same site, and they are returned in the same fashion, so I don't believe the document library, or content type are the issue.
With a fairly limited understanding of both Sharepoint and Search Server, I don't know if this is a setup issue with the search service itself, with the site configuration, or with the querypacket I am sending. We also have a third party application (Knowledgelake) installed on the server that ties into sharepoint which could have changed configuration somewhere as well?
I don't think the query packet has changed since it was working in the proof of concept, other than the custom data column names. I will provide it here in case there is something glaringly obvious to an external reader.
<QueryPacket xmlns='urn:Microsoft.Search.Query.Document'>"
<Query>
<SupportedFormats>
<Format>urn:Microsoft.Search.Response</Format>
</SupportedFormats>
<Range>
<Count>0</Count>
</Range>
<Context>
<QueryText type='MSSQLFT'>
SELECT Filename, Title, FileExtension, IsDocument, Path from Scope() WHERE ""Scope"" = 'Department1' AND CustomData = 'X' --
</QueryText>
</Context>
Any guidance would be incredibly appreciated. If I have not provided some relevant information, please let me know and I can track it down.
Thanks everyone
So now I feel like an idiot, I've searched for hours with no luck, and literally seconds after composing this post, I find the nugget of gold I've been searching for.
It appears that our primary file type, PDF, has a known issue with Sharepoint 2010, as shown at the following site.
http://www.sharepointsharon.com/2010/03/sharepoint-2010-and-adobe-pdf/
and further to that, this registry entry setting is required to link it all together
