Windows 8 requirements for developing Store apps - windows-8

I am new Windows store development. Can i use Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation 32-bit (x86) version or any restrictions to use only 64-bit version
Waiting for your valuable reply.
Thank you in advance...

I use the 32bit version of Windows 8 myself and it works fine. There is such a restriction for Win Phone 8 apps, but for Win 8 you're fine on x86.

Both x86 and x64 (32-bit and 64-bit) operating systems are supported. There is only 32-bit version of Visual Studio 2012 available, and it can be installed on 64-bit Windows.

Windows Runtime of Windows 8 improved by Windows 10

Is the Windows Runtime library that was introduced with Windows 8 the predecessor of the Windows Universal library in Windows 10?
Or is the Windows Universal library something totally build from the ground up?
It's the same thing. The Windows Runtime for Universal Windows apps is a continuation of the Windows Runtime that first shipped in Windows 8.

The download suggests the requirement for Windows 8 (x64) as does the Introducing Windows Phone SDK 8.0 blog. See: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42307 (Expand System Requirements) and http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudio/archive/2012/10/30/introducing-windows-phone-sdk-8-0.aspx

How to install VS2012 for windows phone in my x86 OS? How to convert Windows 8 pro from x86 to x64?

I downloaded a x86 windows pro version and installed in my system. The mistake which i did is my system supports x64 but by mistake took a msdn x86 version of Windows 8 pro.
Because of installing x86 os i am not able to install visual studio 2012 for windows phone. It throws an error stating that ur system is x86.
It would be of great help if u can give solutions for this.
You will have to uninstall the x86 Windows 8, and install the x64 version to fix that sort of error.

Is there a 64 bit version of Pex (Academic license)?

The Academic license of Pex seems to come only in a 32 bit version.
Is there a 64 bit version?
According to the release note page version v0.91.50418.0 has been the first with x64 support.
Furthermore, according to Pex requirements you need one of the following OS to install Pex:
Windows 7 32bit / 64bit, W2K8 32bit /
64bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 Other
versions of Windows (XP, W2K3, Vista)
should work but are untested. x86,
x64 and Wow64 (32-bit running 64-bit
OS) are supported. .NET Framework
2.0/3.0/3.5 and/or 4.0
Hope it helps

SAP NetWeaver Trial Version for 64bit OS?

Is there a 64bit version out there for 64bit OS? If not, is there a way to install the SAP NetWeaver on a 64bit Windows 7 without using a VM with a 32bit system?
Thanks :)

Operating System Windows 7 64 bit Professional (unsupported platform for Trial Installation) or Windows Server 2008

If you're not logged on, you can find it in the SAP Software Download Catalog.
There is this developer verion for windows.
But the requirements state following:
Operating System: Windows XP
Professional (Service Pack 2) or
Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista
(english)
I did use vm ware with a xp sp 2 image under windows 7 to install the Netweaver server. No problems so far (except for the performance).
64 bit - yes, for example this one. Windows, I don't know...
The latest released trial version is the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Trial.
It's available at http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/nw-downloads There are no 64bit windows trial versions
You can install the 32bit versions on Windows 7 Professional or better by using XP Mode (you can't install XP Mode on Windows 7 Home or lower). Searvh on "site:microsoft.com Windows XP mode" for how to install xp mode (I can only post 1 link at a time at the moment).
