We are running on Dec 12 CU patch.
Checked the registry keys at following location, looks all the keys have correct values
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\FIMSynchronizationService\Parameters
The service is running under farm administrator account, it is added in the local administrators as well (for the time being, just to provision UPS).
Ran Process Monitor for any Access Violations but it came neat.
Searched all around, nothing helped, please help if anybody has faced such issue before?
Not sure why the service doesn't log detailed information in some log file.
Thanks,
Avinash
Installed Client Configuration Utility for SQL Server for checking the network protocol as somebody had mentioned in a forum (both TCP, namedpipe were enabled). This required a reboot.
Again went in Central Administration, tried running Synchronization Service, failed checked the event logs and found following message
The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.Administration.ProfileSynchronizationSetupJob (ID 23f8c125-f4f5-45a4-8180-576478fdeffd) threw an exception. More information is included below.

Ran the SharePoint Configuration Wizard till the time it brings the central admin, chose the manual option and exited the screen.
Went to ths services page, tried starting the service again and it worked this time.

Rabbitmq client loosing connection and does not recover
I am using Rabbitmq 3.8.16 with Vertx 3.9.4 Rabbitmq client for my backend application and noticed that sometimes the client looses the connection and it fails to recover correctly (autorecovery is turned ON). It means that after the recovery, It stops to consume messages and the durable queues has no consumers. This happens randomly and with different exceptions. Since I am using Vertx Rabbitmq client, I cannot create different channel per consumer/publisher, I have something like 10 publishers and 10 consumers on the same node (same connection same channel) sometimes reaching up to 400 messages per second. Can it cause this kind of issues ?? Other problem can be that I have a queues representing websocket connections to my backend, these websocket connections are short living so it quite often declare and then remove a queue representing this user session. Is that a problem for Rabbitmq ? From the Rabbitmq log I found following exceptions which were related to the connection crash: First one : 2021-09-08 08:14:15.321 [error] <0.24867.686> ** Generic server <0.24867.686> terminating ** How to disable TLS 1.0 in Wildfly swarm
Just found out that in Wildfly Swarm 2018.5.0, we can't manage to disable the older TLSv1.0 and TLSv1.1 protocols. We used to do it like below in 2017.x; -Dswarm.undertow.servers.default-server.https-listeners.https.enabled-protocols="TLSv1.2" However, now, this gives me an weird message without much explanation. INFO [org.wildfly.security] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 4) ELY00001: WildFly Elytron version 1.1.6.Final ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 8) WFLYCTL0013: Operation ("add") failed - address: ([ ("subsystem" => "undertow"), ("server" => "default-server"), ("https-listener" => "https") ]) - failure description: "WFLYCTL0155: 'socket-binding' may not be null" ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (Controller Boot Thread) "WFLYCTL0193: Failed executing subsystem undertow boot operations" ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (Controller Boot Thread) WFLYCTL0013: Operation ("parallel-subsystem-boot") failed - address: ([]) - failure description: "\"WFLYCTL0193: Failed executing subsystem undertow boot operations\"" FATAL [org.jboss.as.server] (Controller Boot Thread) WFLYSRV0056: Server boot has failed in an unrecoverable manner; exiting. See previous messages for details. Any help would be much appreciated!
I'm not sure in which 2017.x version this used to work for you, because this "issue" is caused by this line: https://github.com/thorntail/thorntail/blob/2.5.0.Final/fractions/javaee/undertow/src/main/java/org/wildfly/swarm/undertow/runtime/HTTPSCustomizer.java#L78 And that's been there for quite a while. Basically, if you don't configure any HTTPS listener, default one (called default-https) will be created automatically. But you do configure one (called https), so default configuration doesn't happen. You need to provide at least the two properties configured in the HTTPSCustomizer as shown above. That is: -Dswarm.undertow.servers.default-server.https-listeners.https.security-realm=SSLRealm -Dswarm.undertow.servers.default-server.https-listeners.https.socket-binding=https -Dswarm.undertow.servers.default-server.https-listeners.https.enabled-protocols="TLSv1.2"
What causes this "Unexpected element" that throws XMLStreamValidationException in JBoss config?
I am trying to migrate some software from JBoss 5 to JBoss 7. I am stuck, as my deployment fails with the below exceptions. Keep in mind that the software is working in JBoss 5, so anything that is not working should be because of differences between JBoss 5/7, I assume. The line in question (line 12, as pointed to in the exception), is the following: <application-policy xmlns="urn:jboss:security-beans:1.0" name="MyProjectDatabaseLogin"> The errors/exceptions are: ERROR [org.jboss.msc.service.fail] (MSC service thread 1-4) MSC000001: Failed to start service jboss.deployment.unit."myear.ear".PARSE: org.jboss.msc.service.StartException in service jboss.deployment.unit."myear.ear".PARSE: WFLYSRV0153: Failed to process phase PARSE of deployment "myear.ear" [stack trace omitted] Caused by: org.jboss.as.server.deployment.DeploymentUnitProcessingException: WFLYPOJO0038: Exception while parsing POJO descriptor file: "/content/myear.ear/META-INF/myproject-auth-jboss-beans.xml" [stack trace omitted] Caused by: org.projectodd.vdx.core.XMLStreamValidationException: ParseError at [row,col]:[12,4] Message: ParseError at [row,col]:[12,4] Message: WFLYCTL0198: Unexpected element '{urn:jboss:security-beans:1.0}application-policy' encountered [stack trace omitted] ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (Controller Boot Thread) WFLYCTL0013: Operation ("deploy") failed - address: ([("deployment" => "myear.ear")]) - failure description: {"WFLYCTL0080: Failed services" => {"jboss.deployment.unit.\"myear.ear\".PARSE" => "WFLYSRV0153: Failed to process phase PARSE of deployment \"myear.ear\" Caused by: org.jboss.as.server.deployment.DeploymentUnitProcessingException: WFLYPOJO0038: Exception while parsing POJO descriptor file: \"/content/myear.ear/META-INF/myproject-auth-jboss-beans.xml\" Caused by: org.projectodd.vdx.core.XMLStreamValidationException: ParseError at [row,col]:[12,4] Message: ParseError at [row,col]:[12,4] Message: WFLYCTL0198: Unexpected element '{urn:jboss:security-beans:1.0}application-policy' encountered"}} Why is application-policy (or the xmlns value for it) unexpected here? What is causing this exception? I had to manually type the above xml line and errors/exceptions, so it is possible there could be some typos not actually present in the original which do not contribute to the problem, though I have reread my question here several times and I don't think I typo'd the above.
I eventually figured out that these configurable items are no longer supposed to be in the same file. This information is now supposed to be in the server's configuration file, so you will probably put it into either the domain.xml file or the standalone.xml file. This is a security application policy, so the contents of this tag now go into the <security-domains> section in a <security-domain> tag. So it would be like the following. Notice that <application-policy ...> is now <security-domain ...> and it is within <security-domains>. I am getting following while connecting to red5 demo apps : NetConnection.Connect.Closed [WARN] [ConnectionChecker-1] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPConnManager - Connection GN0PSGBZE63TF has exceeded the max inactivity threshold of 60000 ms [INFO] [NioProcessor-5] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPMinaConnection - Connection is closed: [WARN] [NioProcessor-5] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPMinaIoHandler - Connection was not found for GN0PSGBZE63TF [ERROR] [RTMPConnectionExecutor-3] org.red5.server.service.ServiceInvoker - Method getApplicationList with parameters [] not found in org.red5.server.Context#4989fa8 [WARN] [RTMPConnectionExecutor-3] org.red5.server.service.ServiceInvoker - Service not found: installer [WARN] [ConnectionChecker-1] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPConnManager - Connection Q6TFXYIXBD4T4 has exceeded the max inactivity threshold of 60000 ms [INFO] [NioProcessor-9] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPMinaConnection - Connection is closed: [WARN] [NioProcessor-9] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPMinaIoHandler - Connection was not found for Q6TFXYIXBD4T4 [root#vps red5]# ^C
A few things are happening here: Your client connection is timing out The method you attempted to call doesn't exist The installer service isn't installed or running Obviously I dont know what happened before the first line "NetConnection.Connect.Closed" so I can't assume much about that missing section. To fix 1-3, you probably just need to add the installer app to your install. Grab all the stuff in this location and put it in your red5/webapps/installer directory: https://github.com/Red5/red5-server/tree/master/src/main/server/webapps/installer
NHibernate profiler doesnt fetch my sessions
I've just downloaded nhibernate profiler and I cannot figure why it is not working. As far as I know, it should be enough to set Connection string inside Options - Edit default connection. I'm using sql server and I've copied my connection string like this Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=DB_xxx_MyDb;Integrated Security=True; In debug mode of my app I have nothing inside nhibernate profiler when executing my app. Update: Added reference to my mvc3 project HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.v4.0.dll Global.asax protected void Application_Start() { AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas(); RegisterGlobalFilters(GlobalFilters.Filters); RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); #if DEBUG HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.NHibernate.NHibernateProfiler.Initialize(); #endif } I made following steps start NhProf.exe start debugging mvc app, these app queries I want to profile Nothing appears in Nhibernate profiler. Licence is working for 32 days. Why? What else should I do? Second update: I tried with reference HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.dll still no working. Tried with options-settings-listen port to set my asp dev. server port, right now is 5442. Still nothing. I'm bit confused. Just to mention that my app works, my connection string works, I am able to fetch data from my db, ... My log.txt file inside NHProfiler folder have this content 2012-03-28 20:31:01,374 [1] INFO Rhino.Licensing.LicenseValidator [(null)] - License expiration date is 04/29/2012 00:00:00 2012-03-28 20:31:01,662 [1] DEBUG Rhino.Licensing.LicenseValidator [(null)] - License accepted for NHibernate Profiler 2012-03-28 20:31:02,461 [6] INFO HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Client.App [(null)] - Checking for updates... 2012-03-28 20:31:25,072 [4] ERROR HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Client.App [(null)] - Error while checking for updates: System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 216.121.112.229:80 at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoConnect(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress) at System.Net.ServicePoint.ConnectSocketInternal(Boolean connectFailure, Socket s4, Socket s6, Socket& socket, IPAddress& address, ConnectSocketState state, IAsyncResult asyncResult, Int32 timeout, Exception& exception) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at NAppUpdate.Framework.Sources.SimpleWebSource.GetUpdatesFeed() at NAppUpdate.Framework.UpdateManager.CheckForUpdates(IUpdateSource source, Action`1 callback) at NAppUpdate.Framework.UpdateManager.<>c__DisplayClass2.<CheckForUpdateAsync>b__1()
Have you initialized the NHibernateProfiler in your app/websites? Something like this in the Applicattion_Start() or Main() #if DEBUG HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.NHibernate.NHibernateProfiler.Initialize(); #endif Also remember to reference the dll HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.v4.0.dll
After returning default listening port inside options-settings everything works. Finally. Thanks #Iridio. Btw if anyone needs to conclude: Step 1: Add reference Step 2: Inside Global.asax Application_Start() add these line #if DEBUG HibernatingRhinos.Profiler.Appender.NHibernate.NHibernateProfiler.Initialize(); #endif Step 3: Start NhProf, inside Options-Connection string add your conn.string. Step 4: Run your app. The default listening port is 22897. Do not change this.
