I am trying to display the Zagat review score that google displays on my site. is there a way to get that data maybe a service that return JSON with the score... thanks in advance for your help.
This isn't part of the Google Plus API, but you may find what you need as part of the Google Places API: https://developers.google.com/places/documentation/details
I have tried this - the Google Places API provides user rating 0.0 thru 5.0, but no Zagat ratings.

It does, however, provide a flag (at the end of the spec) that shows if it is a Zagat-recommended establishment.

I want to put Google+ badge of a business on my page. I can get code for it using Google Developer website: https://developers.google.com/+/web/badge/#badge
But i do not understand how to get average score and number of reviews so I can feature them on my website as well - something similar to what you get when you search for a place:
for example, here is a restaurant's Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/106659611775440325701/about?hl=en - it clearly displays all those reviews and scores. How to get this information from Google? Is there a way to modify badge's code to include them?
Reviews data is part of the Places API. There are a couple of options for getting them on your site.
The Maps Embed API would be the easiest but requires loading a map on your page.
Using the Maps JS API v3 you can load and render place details client side.
Using the HTTP API you can load details on your server to cache in a DB and render on page load.
UPDATE May 2019: it is possible now to get total number of reviews using Place Details Place APIs call: https://developers.google.com/places/web-service/details#fields
as of Jan 2019, it returns user_ratings_total field: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/releases#335
so looking at this again 3 years later, we still can't get all reviews for a place. We can get some - top 5 - using Place Details API call: https://developers.google.com/places/web-service/details
then there is a change request for Google team to extend this: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/35825957
And finally, you can apply for Google Business Account and request access to extended API which allows you to get all reviews for a verified location: accounts.locations.reviews.list
I am trying to get some information about the post people do in google plus. In particular I am interested in the "+1"'s.
Either from the google api or directly from the google plus web site you can get the total count and name of the people who did "+1". But, I would be interested in getting the time or timestamp of the "+1"'s. Does anyone knows if it is possible or how can I do that?

As you can see at https://developers.google.com/+/api/latest/activities, the only data we return for a +1 is a list of the +1-ers, as well as the total number of people who +1'ed the item you are looking at.
If you would like to request additional data, please file a feature request in our Issue Tracker: https://code.google.com/p/google-plus-platform/issues/list. It would really help if you could be as detailed as possible in the type of data you would like to see and how you would ideally use that data.
If you're dealing with your own website and only care about +1s for pages on your own domain, you could use Google Analytic's social information to see how +1s change over time. You wouldn't get information about who did the +1ing.
Ok I have looked into this, and I'm not sure if anyone else has experience with it. I'm having termendous difficulties with Yelp and Google's API.
To help explain what I am trying to do here is the concept of the website. We would have to pull restaurants based on user distance, and then randomize them based on quality of restaurant based on feedback from review websites (Yelp, Google, urbanspoon, zagat, opentable, kudzu, yahoo - doesn't have to be from all), and feedback from our users (on results page for the random restaurant users can select good recommendation/bad recommendation). There’s a lot we could calculate for our formula. Things that will dictate your results will be based on if you’re at home or work. If you’re at home you will have more time to drive out to the city to grab some dinner or lunch. If you’re at work we would have to recommend restaurants nearby as lunch is typically 30 minutes to a hour. A 30 minute lunch would require take out most likely or quick service. A hour lunch break you could dine in at a local fine dining restaurant. So in a nutshell, user comes to website. Select if they're at home or work, click submit and we will have a random restaurant selected for them to go. If they don't like it they can click retry and a new restaurant can show.
The issue I am having is using the API to gather all the restaurants in the US. I know it can be done because there are similiar websites/apps that pull restaurants that are closest to you such as Ness, Alfred, and I believe there's two more but I can't remember the names.
Anyone know if this can be accomplish? As I desperately need some help. Thanks in advance!
Yelp is the API that can provide you list of restaurant as per your search, your search can be area specific, lattitude/longitude specific etc. there are number of API through which you can see the reviews of different restaurant and put some logic based on that.
I think the logic of home/work order is something that you have to integrate in your application, yelp API can provide you with the results as per your search.

With https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1/get/statuses/user_timeline I can get 3,200 most recent tweets. However, certain sites like http://www.mytweet16.com/ seems to bypass the limit, and my browse through the API documentation could not find anything.
How do they do it, or is there another API that doesn't have the limit?
You can use twitter search page to bypass 3,200 limit. However you have to scroll down many times in the search results page. For example, I searched tweets from #beyinsiz_adam. This is the link of search results:

Now in order to scroll down many times, you can use the following javascript code.

Just run it in the FireBug console. And wait some time to load all tweets.
The only way to see more is to start saving them before the user's tweet count hits 3200. Services which show more than 3200 tweets have saved them in their own dbs. There's currently no way to get more than that through any Twitter API.

Note from that second link: "…the 3,200 limit is for browsing the timeline only. Tweets can always be requested by their ID using the GET statuses/show/:id method."
I've been in this (Twitter) industry for a long time and witnessed lots of changes in Twitter API and documentation. I would like to clarify one thing to you. There is no way to surpass 3200 tweets limit. Twitter doesn't provide this data even in its new premium API.
The only way someone can surpass this limit is by saving the tweets of an individual Twitter user.
There are tools available which claim to have a wide database and provide more than 3200 tweets. Few of them are followersanalysis.com, keyhole.co which I know of.
You can use a tool I wrote that bypasses the limit.

You can use a Python library snscrape to do it. Or you can use ExportData tool to get all tweets for the user, which returns already preprocessed CSV and spreadsheet files. The first option is free, but has less information and requires more manual work.
We are working on some analytics using the amount a user is retweeted or mentioned... I can't seem to find a way to get these numbers using the apis does anyone have any ideas?

it's important to include the line include_entities=true to the request. This will give you an expanded response including re-tweet and mention counts.
