I am modifying Media_capture_using_capture_device_sample sample code. I want to use StartRecordToCustomSinkAsync instead of StartRecordToStorageFileAsync. In the example code I have just replaced the required API as below :
In AdvancedCapture.xaml.cpp,
instead of below API
create_task(m_mediaCaptureMgr->StartRecordToStorageFileAsync(recordProfile, this->m_recordStorageFile)).then([this](task<void> recordTask)
I have put
task<void>(m_mediaCaptureMgr->StartRecordToCustomSinkAsync(recordProfile,"GrayscaleTransform.GrayscaleEffect",nullptr)).then([this](task<void> recordTask)
[My intention is to receive frames in custom sink]
When I call StartRecordToCustomSinkAsync it enters the immidiate try block executes recordTask.get() and then enters catch block with InvalidCastException
Pls help me to understand the scenario...
Thanks in advance

Actually what I am trying to do is whenever exception/error occurs in application it will come to catch exception strategy, here I'm trying to create a xml request which contains application name, timestamp and error details and calling one rest service with this xml as input. Could you please help me in doing this..?? Thanks in Advance
There nothing you can do access those expressions in dataweave, you might need to store those in flowVars then access the flowVars in dataweave like flowVars."name_of_var".

Ralph
You can find error handling block in your flow.
Inside that you can catch the exception with the MEL syntax.
#[Exception.causedBy(corresponding class)]
once if there is an exception based on some class then inside that you can define your strategy.
In general you can catch any exception by #[Exception!=null]
If there is any exception occurs automatically the control will be passed here.
In that you can setpayload #[app.name], #[server.dateTime],#[Exception.getMessage()]
Then you can proceed as you want.
Thanks!
I have an UPDATE pass through query saved in Access 2007. When I double-click on the pass through query it runs successfully. How can I get this query to run from VBA? I'd like it to run when my "splash screen" loads.
I'm currently using the following code:
CurrentDb.Execute "Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH", dbSQLPassThrough
But I get the following message:
The pass-through query contains all the connection information and I've confirmed the SQL syntax is correct by running it multiple times, so not sure what I'm missing in my VBA call.
Use the QueryDef's Execute method:
CurrentDb.QueryDefs("Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH").Execute
I don't think you should need to explicitly include the dbSQLPassThrough option here, but you can try like this if you want it:
CurrentDb.QueryDefs("Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH").Execute dbSQLPassThrough
I recently ran into the same problem. While the above mentioned Execute method is working for most cases, some people (me included) experiencing a Run-time error '3001': Invalid Argument when using the parameter dbSQLPassThrough. This was also addressed in the answer above me and happens even in the simplest SQL-statements.
For those who are having the same problem, I recommend using the OpenQuery method as alternative.
A valid substitution for the following code
CurrentDb.QueryDefs("Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH").Execute
would be
DoCmd.OpenQuery "Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH"
I know this thread is 4 years old, however, searching for a solution for the not working Execute method on Google brings you directly to this thread which is why I thought it would be useful to add an alternative solution which solved this problem for me.
I confirm that the QueryDef's Execute method is the recommended way to achieve your goal.
CurrentDb.QueryDefs("Q_UPDATE_PASSTHROUGH").Execute
However, I can point out that in a similar case with Access 2010, using dbSQLPassThrough for the Options parameter caused a Run-time error '3001': Invalid Argument.
I have datamapper, ( source: pojo and target:CSV), I need to call the other flow ( or groovy) inside datamapper. I stuck in passing the parameter to the flow. For example, I don't want entire payload has to go to flow for validation. I need to pass only two values. I used
flowRef(String,Object)
output.Item = flowRef("sampletestFlow",input.Model);
It works fine for single payload. But i have to pass one more parameter ( called input.Policy). I know we have to use
flowRef(String,Object,Map).
But it don't know the format for two input parameter.
Could you please anyone help me on this.
I have handled the scenario by the below way. Have create java class and called the java via damapper script. Below is the code inside datamapper script to call the java code.
stringUtil = new com.test.util.StringUtil();
output.style = stringUtil.formatValue(input.RuleStyle);
Hope this helps.
This code section i am getting error any ideas ?
public IEnumerable<LOBinfo> getLobinfo()
{
// var obj = from n in lobj.LOBinfoes select n;
return lobj.LOBinfoes.Select(m=>m).ToList();
// return obj.ToList();
}
I am not even using USING keyword ?
This issue been for a while and i referred many articles in stackoverflow itself but things looking bad for me .
Thank you for your suggestions
Underlying provider failed to open means, that at some point a database could not be reached, due to wrong connection settings for example or a previous failure etc...
The code you show here is allright, except for the fact you write a useless .Select you can drop the .Select(m=>m) and just leave the .ToList there.
Further, to find out what is causing your crash post the exact error message as well as the inner exception. (and the inner exception's inner exception and so on...)
Next to that the part "lobj.LOBinfoes" is probably a repository or something? You might as well post the code of that and the code of your data access object as well.
I'm trying to use SPWeb.GetListItem() to get an item by a known URL (MSDN).
So basically I'm doing the following:
using (SPSite spSite = SPContext.Current.Site)
{
using (SPWeb spWeb = spSite.RootWeb)
{
SPListItem spListItem = spWeb.GetListItem
("/sites/testSite/Lists/testList/Folder/Subfolder");
}
}
in case you are wondering, I'm trying to get the folder "Subfolder" to do stuff with it.
The problem is that the first time I call this, I get a COMExpeption:
Cannot complete this action.
Please try
again.<nativehr>0x80004005</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>
Description: An unhandled exception
occurred during the execution of the
current web request. Please review the
stack trace for more information about
the error and where it originated in
the code.
Exception Details:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException:
Cannot complete this action.
There are some reports about the COMException happening because you need to use the full relative site URL, so instead of /Lists/testList/Folder/SubFolder, you need to use /sites/testSite/Lists/... - I'm doing just that. I also tried using the absolute URL (http://sharepoint/sites/...). The problem remains: I get the COMException when trying to get the spListItem for the first time.
When I try to run the code again after the Exception, the SPListItem is received just fine. Also all subsequent calls work - only the first one fails.
AmI doing some initializing wrong or something like that?
Perhaps try SPWeb.GetFolder() instead... but again it depends on what exactly you want to do with the Folder. Seems strange though that you're using a method used for getting list items on a Folder.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms461547.aspx
Try to instantiate the web where the list item is located - _uiserWeb.
I tryed Site.RootWeb.GetListItem(item_url) - it gave me null first time after code redeployment and was fine second time.
_item = _userWeb.GetListItem(item_url)
