How to delete a RavenDB database with Raven.Client.Lightweight - ravendb

I have implemented what I believe to the proper way to delete a database (raven running as a service), based on the 1.2 Raven Studio's way of doing it and porting the code to a windows console.

Try to use CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials, or supply the credentials of an admin user on the machine.

FCM Authorization always fails

The Authorization header is not null in fact. it is correctly set with my FCM API Key. Only the HTTPUrlConnection implementation says to return null if someone trys to access Authorization key.
As you can see i am not able to connect with FCM. The Code 401 means that authentication failed.
What could be the problem here?
Check that you are using a server type API-KEY, and not a client or browser API-KEY.
If you are using Firebase you can find the API-KEY in
Project Settings > Cloud Messaging
If you are using cloud console, or you are not sure which key you are using,
you can generate a new key through through https://console.cloud.google.com

Also, make sure to use only server keys to authorize your app server.

Google+ unable to insert moment - A Year and 6 Revisions After

NOTE: Using the Sign-in button is NOT an option
A year ago I was having a problem creating a moment. Back then I was using version 1.2 of the Google+ API .Net client. As I described in this post, I had it working although the code failed to insert a moment from time to time. I was hoping that the process is more stable and easier to implement now, and it seems like it as can be seen in the example that you can download here - the current version as of this writing is v1.8. So I created a simple project following the SimpleOAuth2 sample in the download, but implementing Google+. This is the code I came up:

That code always give me a 401 Unauthorized error, even if I have the Google+ API turned on for my project. Here's the actual error I got:

It's interesting to see that the insert moment is failing even though the call to People.Get("me") works - get("me") works with all of the scope combinations I listed above. It's important to note that each time I try a new scope, I first log out of my Google account and delete the access token that is stored in GPlusSample.Store.

I tried setting just the Url instead of individual items as suggested by Ian and I got the exact same error.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.login is the right scope for writing moments, but you need to have requested the specific app activity types you want to write as well. The parameter for this is request_visible_actions, and it takes a space separated list of arguments of the types (Listed on https://developers.google.com/+/api/moment-types/ - e.g. http://schemas.google.com/AddActivity).
The client library may not have a method for adding request_visible_actions, so you may have to add it on to the auth URL you redirect the user to manually (remember to URLencode the app activity type URLs!)

Xamarin Portable Class Library Gets Proxy Access Denied on iPhone Simulator

I've run into a bit of an issue with the iPhone simulator when trying to access a WCF REST service.
I've asked the question on the Xamarin forums, but no joy.
Some context:
I have a PCL for a Xamarin cross platform project, in VS 2012.
I use the Portable Microsoft HttpClient package and the Json.NET package.
I have a pretty simple WCF REST service sitting in the background.
When testing
I can access the service fine from a browser on the dev machine.
I can access it fine using a console application going via the PCL.
I can access it fine via the app, from a real android device on the WiFi network of
the same corporate network.
I can access it fine from Safari on the build Mac.
I can access it fine from Safari on the iPhone simulator on the build Mac.
The issue is, as soon as I try to access the service via the app on the iPhone simulator, I get a 407, Proxy Access Denied error.
Here is the code I'm using to set up the connection:

I have tried setting the proxy by using various combinations of SupportsProxy and SupportsUseProxy. (Both returning false from the simulator.)
I've tried forcing the proxy settings regardless. I've tried setting the credentials on the handler itself. I've tried playing with the UseDefaultCredentials and UseProxy flags. I've also tried setting the IfModifiedSince value in the message header. I've tried using the PortableRest package as well.
All of that only seemed to make things worse. Where I was initially getting the 407 error, the call to httpClient.GetAsync would just immediately return null.
I am at a bit of a loss here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I finally got it working.
Turns out it was something really stupid, but being new to iOS mobile dev and the fact that the service worked via Safari on the simulator threw me for a loop.
I read that the simulator uses the proxy settings as defined on the Mac. So I went to the network settings and added the service address to the proxy bypass list.
Works like a charm now.
If anybody feels there is a better way to do this, please add your opinions.

Why return 500 error while calling another controller using WebClient?

It's hard to tell. Maybe the controller action that you are calling requires authorization? Or uses session? When you send your WebClient request it doesn't delegate any of the client cookies that were sent by the client to the Index action.
Here's how you can debug your code and see the exact response returned by the server:
