I would like to display in a button or a form some info from the Apple AppStore page related to the App the user is currently running.
e.g. the price in the current country or the reviews summary.
is there any function that can be called via xcode to extract those details without using additional external libraries?
I am referring to Apps that i created , so i have all the IDs...
Thank you
A.
This page should contain the information you need: http://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=your_app_id
Their is a built-in iOS API for accessing the prices of in-app-purchase items. Otherwise, you may have to research 3rd pary libraries or send the user to a Safari or App store URL for the information.

For a client i want to integrate a new way of renting products in Shopify which they pick right up after ordering from a pickup point. This new way is a service which can be interacted with via an API. After ordering, a code is provided which can be used to open a locker somewhere. In the shop, on a custom page or some sort of reusable block i want have a custom HTML form which can interact with this API. The customer can then choose the product, the available pickup-point, pay for his/her order and receive the code for pickup. Is this possible?
I have done research but could not find this type of customizing.
I have built some test-apps but it seems these can only be embedded in the admin and not in the storefront itself (please correct me if i am wrong). I can interact with the storefront-api so that's a plus allright.
The ideal way would be for me to develop a React/Vue app which can be added to a page for walking trough this process described above.
Anyway, is it possible one way or another?
Thanks in advance for thinking with me on this one!
I am completely new to branch.io. And I am trying to incorporate this into my project. I have a use case where a person will send an invite link using branch to attend a meeting. Also this link should be unique to the invitee. Once user receives a message with link he will click on the link and it should take him to a webpage(my own)/Deepview(branch.io), where he should be able to submit the form which will register him for the event. Once he finishes the registration, show him the page where there is a download app link.
So far I looked into branch.io documentation but i am confused what all features i should use. This is what i found so far. let me know if this is suitable for my use case or not.
For the first scenario of sending unique links i was thinking of using branch.io API as this is what their website suggests
Secondly on click of link taking user to some landing page. this is the part where i am very confused. I didn't find any article which says i can submit a form in Deepview. Or do i have to use my own webpage where user will submit the form and then get that information and send it to braze to create another Deeplink which will take user to app download page.
Please suggest me the features of branch.io, that I should use for my use-case
thank you for contacting Branch. You can create a unique Branch Link with the following ways based on your situation.
Use Quick Links or Ad Links from Branch Dashboard for fast link creation and easy tracking.
Use our App SDK to create and share links within your app.
Use our Web SDK to create links which help convert your web users to app users.
Use our HTTP API to programmatically create links from your server.
Use our Chrome Extension to generate links from your browser.
Also, you can set a different final destination (User landing page) in your Branch Link for your app based on your purpose. For example, you can make users who do not have your app in their device can land on either the App Store, Deepview (is a mobile web splash page, hosted by Branch), or specific webpage via your Branch Link according to your needs.
Please feel free to contact support#branch.io if you have any further questions. We are happy to help you.
Thanks in advance for the help.
So while developing an application, I need API data and I retrieve JSON objects. Not a big deal, but with one certain account it doesn't work.
https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/257255126?client_id=CLIENT_ID_HERE
The ID 257255126 is a track from this profile: https://soundcloud.com/discoverysounds1/.
Every track from this profile returns empty from the API while the same API link works if I insert a track ID from any other profile.
I've already notified the owner of the problem and he hasn't done anything weird or disabled API access if that's even possible.
What could be the problem here?
Thanks,
Jordan
I just tested this with a website I am developing using the API.
If I add one of the tracks to an existing playlist that I have created to test certain functionality, the track does not appear in the playist when retrieved via the /me/playlists endpoint.
When I load the playlist into the soundcloud widget, the track is visible and unrestricted (as in full duration and not a 30 second preview).
I am seeing similar behaviour with tracks that are marked as "soundcloud go" not being visible in the playlist tracks from the /me/playlists endpoint, but available via the widget when the playlist is loaded (albeit only a 30 second preview in their case).
Those items are identifiable as having a "SUB_HIGH_TIER" monetization_model
The track I loaded from your example
There seem to be various issues with the API right now related to the implementation of "soundcloud go"
I am newbie for iPhone application and I want to create iPhone application based on the website client have. What I want to do is show the Upcoming Courses from this website. Any idea how to do that?
Note that, the table that is there in section Upcoming Courses is static data and this site is created using Joomla. The web-developer do the changes in the Upcoming Courses section on a weekly basis depending on the courses.
Could anyone suggest me right path what needs to be done?
I also tried to search on google and found that RSS need to be created for that section. So I believe if I need to create RSS, then I would have to store this data in database. Isn't it? Is this only one way to deal with it?
My Client says, if they do the update in website, it should also get rectified in iPhone application too.
Look at the example right here:
https://github.com/greenisus/cocoa-rss
If you use Joomla, then you have a database already, of course.
I'm pretty sure that there are some sweet modules for RSS, which you can use.
Then you'd just have to parse them in your app.
There is no such thing as push in RSS, you'd have to consistently check and update your content.
I have a request from a client that wants to add adverisments in an iPhone application.
The client should be able to put his own advertisments at his own will: whenever his wants and as many times as his wants, without our help.
Is there any solution and what is it? Preferrably for free.
What dimensions should the banner have?
you can develop an xml based adv system and C# desktop app to desing adv easly. You should define properties, image and text tags, coords and navigation urls. Then an xml parser and you can create adv dynamicly.
Once i developed something like that to develop ITV channels and it reduced development time too much.
Or you can simply use webview
Give AdMob a try and be sure to check out House Ads.
You can use House Ads to upload/create your own banners or text ads and get the statistics and a robust framework for displaying ads in your app with it.
You could use StorageRoom to manage the ads and then use the API to pull them into your app.
Disclaimer: It's my startup.
I've used quite a few ad networks and for what you outline as your requirements I'd go with MobClix. If you want to earn revenue from other peoples ads then iAds and MobFox work best for me.
Adwhirl its quite flexible allowing you/client to set the ad providers, percentage per provider and as well as house ads.
I'd suggest you use a CMS for image upload, create some templates that use banners and create html-links, html-text, html/css/js/whatever-content.
Your app could then call specific URLs and if it gets get a valid response, it could create a UIWebView and add that to the view hierarchy.
If your user clicks the ad, the UIWebView-delegate will be called and you can decide what you want to do (e.g. open safari with the URL defined by the HTML-Link).
