I noticed that none of my jobs on my server ran in the last 12 hours. SQL Server Agent is online, but I have had to "reset" all of my job scheduels (go in change it to something new and then change the schedule back to it's original settings) for the jobs to start running again. Has anyone ever had this problem before and know what causes it?
Server was down during the interval. Jobs are now running on schedule

My old computer crashed and died a couple of weeks ago(motherboard), and I have been able to copy data from the hard drive over to new computer.
Problem is with sql database, I'm not able to restore or attach as I get the error access is denied
Anybody have an idea as to what I can do.
Thanks
George
After trying to get data via attach/restore, I just went into the data folder and copied and pasted the old db and log files, now works OK.

I have an OpenFire chat server running for clients. I need to delete all users who have not logged in for about 6 months. I think it will be around ~1500 users that need to be deleted. Clicking delete and confirm is taking a lot of time. Is there any way to do it via a script or command line ?

All is well but on a last one the following message comes:
The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the
server on is not responding

If it does not help, try googling for this query:

I wanted to ask can the database be restored to an earlier stage.
Somebody logged into my system and run a delete command.
Can this be restored?
Yes, it can. Reload the database from a backup.
Yes, you can (if you are running in Full Mode) just reload information from the Transaction Log.

As you know this alarm bug,

I just wonder why it is just related to 2011/1/1 and 2011/1/2 but not other day?
