I have been searching the web for an answer to my problem, but so far I have not been lucky.
I have create a custom workflow activity and I would like to debug it in visual studio 2010, but I don't know how to do it.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
You have to attach visual studio to the process that is running on the server.
Here is the MSDN article on it

I have Visual Studio 2019 16.8.2 and I have installed the Office Development tools from Visual Studio Installer. I then created an Excel Web Add-In project and when I try to run the project, I get this error:
In the output window, there isn't much useful info:
Excel is of course installed, I have the following version:
Could there be some form of Compatibility issue? or maybe something in the Visual Studio Version?
I tried to check online but couldn't find anything related to this.
The problem is that you should not Visual Studio as administrator. When running as Admin it results in the error. Running as not admin works correctly.
Following problem: a network application uses an Office Web Components control.
This control, however, is not implemented in Office 2013.
Has anybody an idea how to bind the Microsoft Office Web Component (OWC11) to the VB project in visual studio 2013?
So that, when the project is published, the users don’t have to install the OWC11 controls on their PC’s.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I just wanted to start learing WCF and could not find the WCF Service Library in my Visual Studio 2012 Windows Desktop. After reading and searching I found out that I need the VS Web to get access to it. Since I try to avoid installing two versions of VS I wat to ask if it is possible to add VS Web to VS Desktop.
I've used MS Visual Basic 2010 Express to build a very simple VB.Net Windows app. I need to check the code into our Team Foundation Server Source Control. Is there a TFS plug-in for VB Express? If not, do I need to check the code in manually?
You will have to do it manually as stated here .
Given my experience with TFS I would check the code in manually. Package it all up nicely and get one changeset for the lot.
TFS isn't supported in any of the express editions of Visual Studio. I'm not sure if TFS is integrated into Windows Explorer for manually updates and commits. Other with experience would need to comment.
I have Visual Studio setup with a VSTO word project, and when I hit run it runs fine.
But, how do I setup a word document to use my code without having Visual Studio running?
You must deploy the VSTO runtime whether by hand or with an installer. Check out this blog post for a detailed explanation.
You can do it using a Windows Installer project; starting point here. You can also use the Publish Wizard.
A more general starting point can be found in MSDN here.
