I am creating a native application in which I want to implement the theme setting.
I have one setting tab where the user can choose any theme.
But when the user select any theme how do I change all the UI, depending on the theme.
1- I have to restart the app from the beginning. When doing this should I use to push user to MainController? And in all the controllers in viewdidLoad I change the theme.
2- Or any other method I have to use please suggest the correct way.

No. You won't need to do that, as you only have to change look and feel of the app.

In Controllers of your app try setting color of elements in viewWillAppear, and all these colours are fetched from NSUserDefaults or any other place from where you want.
When user change theme, just change the color which is stored in NSUserDefaults or any other place, and reload only that controller with the help of utility methods. Rest view controller will automatically gets changes when they will be loaded.
Utility Class will take the responsibility to change the color of UI Element, might be you need to create 2 or 3 utility methods for this purpose.
Hope it clear some doubts.
If you want to re-theme your app depending on what the user selects, I recommend a dynamic styling library like http://nativecss.com/
It let's you retheme your app whilst the app is running, which sounds like what you are after!

I would like to use React Navigation with a tab view component that is not its default tab view (the one I have chosen to use is react-native-tab-view, as it provides a much more comprehensive interface for customization of its appearance). However, I just don't seem to be able to understand the documentation for writing custom navigators and routers. What are the basic steps I will need to perform this integration? How is this going to be affected by the fact that I will need to be able to compose a StackNavigator inside of some of my tab view's tabs?
As pointed out by #MarsonMao in the comments, the default implementation is based on react-native-tab-view. Unfortunately, it didn't provide the hooks I needed to make it work, but I was able to make a subclass of TabBarTop with a copy of the original render function modified to include the change I needed.
Most Cocoa applications, provided they call NSWindow's -setRepresentedFilename:, will display a nice little proxy icon at the top-centre of their NSWindows.
Here's an example of the Preview app with a PDF document:
Xcode, somehow, manages to display 2 proxy icons - one for the project file and the other for the current document in the source display.
Does anyone know how they do that? window:shouldPopUpDocumentPathMenu: in NSWindowDelegate seems very close - you could probably position your custom path menus with this. But there doesn't seem to be anything that would allow you to actually display the two proxy icons themselves.
Any ideas?
Unfortunately Apple has access to APIs the rest of us don’t. Messing with the title bar is really hard.
The best I can suggest is making your window NOT have a standard title bar, and then placing the buttons yourself by calling [self standardWindowButton:X] for each of the close, resize, and miniaturize buttons you want. Then place your own document icon and title textField.
You’ll likely have to track when the window loses or gains key or main status and modify the buttons accordingly (Cocoa fetches new buttons each time this happens, not sure why). Whee! Good luck!
On my iPhone, when I go into the Settings app, I see "Airplane Mode", "Wi-Fi", "Notifications", etc. and I'm able to scroll through pages and pages of settings.
I'm new to objective-c and I'm trying to duplicate the functionality in my own app, but I don't know enough about the objects and techniques to know what to ask or what to look for. :)
With that in mind, can someone please explain what's going on with the settings app? What is this using? Is it a UITableView that allows me to scroll down the page? What control is being used to store the text "Airplane" mode? What is happening when I click on the ">" and see a new page?
Any tips are appreciated.
While nobody outside Apple can be 100% sure how they implement their apps, some reasonable guesses would be:
The main screen is a grouped UITableView. Each entry is a single cell.
The text and images in the cells are built using properties of UITableViewCell (e.g. the textLabel UILabel for the text "General"). Some of the more advanced items use custom cell views.
Each category view is another UIViewController, pushed onto the viewControllers stack of a UINavigationController.
The on/off switches are UISliders.

I designed a web app for iPhone and am now trying my hands at a native Objective-C version, and I'd like to retain some continuity with my original design. Since my web version uses CSS, I was able to customize the color palette, even though the UI was designed to imitate a native iPhone UI. I'd like to use a similar color scheme for my native app, but it doesn't seem so easy out of the box. I've gone through a couple tutorials and played around a bit with Interface Builder, inspecting the individual settings available for each control. My biggest questions are:
Is it possible to (or how do I) change the color of a Round Rect Button?
Is it possible to (or how do I) change the color of cells in a Table View?
Where in the Cocoa Touch Library can I find the standard iOS UI buttons, e.g. the green "Call Back" and red "Delete" buttons in the native voice mail?

Nope, I don't think so. And you probably shouldn't anyways. In my opinion it's better to rather stay consistent with the OS and not the web... What you can do is to use a custom image.
UITableViewCell has a property named backgroundView, which is only present if you have a grouped style. This view has -- just like every other view -- a background color. If you don't have this and want to color individual cells, build a custom cell where you put in a view as background view.
As far as I know, they are not publicly available. However, you may find a lot of template images etc on the web that you can use.
I'm quite confused with the whole animation stuff in iPhone SDK. I tried to study throught the SDK documentation, this website or tried googling it out without success.
I'm unable to get my scenario work.
I have single XIB file, with tab bar and a 4 tabs.
In a special event i want to switch from one page to another "in code", so I call eg: [tabController selectedIndex: 0].
I need this transition to be animated. Is there a way?
If user switches tabs manually, no animated transitions are needed
Also I have one subquestion:
In one of the tabs I have a UITableView with set of items. When user clicks any of these items, another set of items are beign shown (sort of hierarchy browser)
I tried to animate this transition using -deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:withRowAnimation: and -insertRowsAtIndexPaths:withRowAnimation:, but without luck.
Desired transition is shifting the old items set to the left side and the new items from the right side.
This is first time of my iPhone development, when I got lost even with all the forums and documentation. :)

In short words: you should add a delegate object to handle the tab bar switching by setting the tabBarController.delegate = self.
Yet, what this forum post won't tell you is that you need to "import" some framework to do it.
First - right-click on the framework folder on the left hand list in Xcode and add an existing framework named: "QuartzCore.framework".
Than - add these lines to your tab bar holder (on .h file):
#import <QuartzCore/CAAnimation.h>
#import <QuartzCore/CAMediaTimingFunction.h>
As for your second question, try to replace the datasource (array or what ever) or create login function on the cell to replace its content.

First Question: No, you can't animate tab switching. Please read Apple's Human Interface Guidelines on this. Tabs are meant to switch instantly. An animated transition would break the "tab" paradigm.
Second Question: When you tap on a row, the user does not expect other rows to disappear and new ones to appear. Instead, this sounds like a case for a UINavigationController. Please refer to Apple's sample code, specifically the UICatalog for sample code on how to implement this.
