opencv ios cvseq storage - objective-c

I am intending to pre-load all the images that I have stored inside application. Pre-loading of images involves:
Read images from bundle.
Extract object descriptors using cvExtractSurf from opencv framework.
Store IPLImage with corresponding object descriptors and keypoints.
I am having an issue in creating a dictionary containing CvSeq* keys and CvSeq* descs.
Please suggest how to store these values in NSMutableDictionary.

Create a class that has an instance variable of type cvseq, add your cvseq to the object, and add that class to the dictionary.

Unable to convert UTF-8 text from NSDictionary in Objective-C

Im using foursquare API to get some locations around me, but when the name of that place wasn't in english, the name will be like follows:

i tried to convert the response to a UTF-8 but nothing changed.

There is no problem.
NSLog() calls the description method of NSDictionary and NSArray, and that prints all non-ASCII characters as \Unnnn escape sequence.
If you extract the string values from the dictionary and print that you will see
that everything is correct.
Simple example:
NSDictionary *dict = #{ #"currency": #"€" };
NSLog(#"%#", dict);
// Output: { currency = "\U20ac"; }
NSString *value = dict[#"currency"];
NSLog(#"%#", value);
// Output: €
UPDATE: The problem seems to be in your removeWhiteSpaces: method, because
NSString *str = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#",dic];
already uses the description method to convert the dictionary to a string,
and the following stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString calls are a (sorry!) very bad
method to fix that.
You should access the dictionary keys with objectForKey instead, or enumerate
the dictionary with for (NSString *key in dic) { ... } and build the desired
array.
UPDATE 2: From the JSON data (posted in chat discussion) it seem that you just need
NSArray *itemsArray = json[#"response"][#"groups"][0][#"items];
NSArray *namesArray = [itemsArray valueForKey:#"name"];
Note that "groups" is an array with one element.
Try to use this one..

Reading from SQL database into NSArray

I have an iPad that reads data from an SQL database. The following code works fine and retrieves 2 fields from each record and reads them into an NSArray.
I now need to read 5 of the fields and I can't help but think that there is a better way of doing it rather than running 5 separate queries through php (the getinfo.php file with the choice parameter set to pick the different fields).
Any pointers to a better method for doing this?

Replacing a specified dictionary in NSMutableArray

I'm trying to replace a dictionary in a mutable array.
Steps 1 through 4 should be good, but I'm having some trouble in step 5 - 6. Can you show me what has to be done to make this function work:

Replace the line:

with this line:

since you are using string comparison here.
As pointed out in the comments by Martin R, you are trying to save an int value into a int pointer variable.
int index; //instead of 'int *index;'
That change should do the trick.
It could have worked if you had written int *index; and then index = &i;, since you are saving a pointer to an integer that way. But it doesn't seem to be what you are trying to do.
The second error is due you are providing an int pointer instead of an integer to this method:
[tmpMutArr replaceObjectAtIndex:index withObject:
[NSDictionary dictionaryWithDictionary:mutDict]];
But declaring index as an integer solves both errors already.

How to prevent all rows of an NSTableView being selected at startup

I am new to Objective-C. I am using NSArrayController to fill NSTableView. Initially, I am getting all rows selected in the table view. I am unable to find the reason behind it.

NSArrayController has a property selectsInsertedObjects. If that is YES, inserted objects are marked selected, including the ones added by addObject:.
You can set that property to NO, or you can use the following to unset the selection after adding the items:
mMedia.mcMediaController.mcTableViewMyMedia.selectedObjects = #[];

finding a number in array

I have an Array {-1,0,1,2,3,4...}
I am trying to find whether an element exist in these number or not, code is not working

That's the value of NSNotFound, which means that favArray contains no object that isEqual: to [NSNumber numberWithInt:3]. Check your array.

Your favList array is filled with NSString objects. You should convert the string objects to NSNumber objects before inserting them in favArray:
