Thanks in Advance.

You have a problem with perl on your server.
Try in order:
/scripts/checkperlmodules --full
If don't work:
Try reinstall Perl from layer1.cpanel.net (get perl588installer.tar.gz)

Force reinstall the perl modules. First login to perl shell
perl -MCPAN -e shell
Force install the below modules.
force install DBI
force install DBD::mysql

problem trying to initiate a console with WSL 2 in CMDER

I have this error just trying to use WSL from cmder
wslbridge error: failed to start backend process
note: backend error output: -v: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matchi ng `''
-v: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
ConEmuC: Root process was alive less than 10 sec, ExitCode=0.
Press Enter or Esc to close console...
does anyone how to solve it?
Create a new profile with the command wsl.exe.
Taken from https://github.com/Maximus5/ConEmu/issues/1930#issuecomment-512882561; it works for me.
For anybody having problems with this, I finally figured it out by setting a new task command of:
wsl.exe ~ -d Ubuntu-20.04
In my case, I had two versions of WSL installed and it wouldn't take the newer in Cmder for anything—it always loaded the ~ directory of my older install. You can use the file browser and go to directory \\wsl$ to see which version of WSL you are using.
I found this solution:
It is a ConEmu thing. The whole WSL part is for WSL version 1, I guess you are running WSL version 2?
You need a new version of cygwin1.dll
Grab one here: https://cygwin.com/snapshots/
Go to vendor\conemu-maximus5\ConEmu\wsl and replace the dll.
You need wslbridge 2:
Grab it here: https://github.com/Biswa96/wslbridge2/releases (the cygwin version)
Copy the content to the same directory: vendor\conemu-maximus5\ConEmu\wsl
Now edit your WSL bash task:
Replace the part "conemu-cyg-64.exe --wsl" with "conemu-cyg-64.exe %ConEmuBaseDirShort%\wsl\wslbridge2.exe"
It works now.

Setting {WSL::Bash} as default shell throws an error in cmder

note: backend error output: -v: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
-v: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
ConEmuC: Root process was alive less than 10 sec, ExitCode=0.
Press Enter or Esc to close console...
This is error i am getting.
Also i have set the fish shell as default shell in WSL.
For WSL1 on windows 10 build later than 1909 (yes wsl2 is available to me but for corporate reasons i cant use it)
Try setting your command to wsl.exe -new_console:d:C:\_stuff\code -cur_console:p5 and the task parameters to /dir "c:/_stuff/code" /icon "c:/_distros/ubuntu/ubuntu1804.exe"
You may need to change the file locations to make the command and parameters suitable for your setup. c:/_stuff/code is where i keep all my repositories and c:/_distros/ubuntu is where i have installed ubuntu.

Creating vxworks file

I am very new to vxworks and make files.
I have a batch file to run this below command
%GNUFILTER% C:\WindRiver\wrenv.exe -p vxworks-6.3 make --no-print-directory BUILD_SPEC=PENTIUMgnu comp=kernel DEBUG_MODE=0 -f vsbuild.make %*
Can anyone explain me this command please?
This giving me an error message
sh.exe stopped working" abnormal program termination
C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\make12099.sh: fork failed: no child processes [1]
Once I had a such error when I copied the workbench files into my computer instead of installing workbench. Reinstalling properly by installshield solved the problem.

Hadoop + Hive - hcatalog won't startup

I just installed a single node Hadoop 2.2.0 cluster running on ubuntu.
I tried a couple of basic example calculations and it works fine.
I then tried to setup hive 0.12.0, that includes hcatalog.
I actually follow this tutorial.
And when I try to start hcatalog, I always get the following error :
bash $HIVE_HOME/hcatalog/sbin/hcat_server.sh start
dirname: missing operand
Try `dirname --help' for more information.
Started metastore server init, testing if initialized correctly...
/usr/local/hive/hcatalog/sbin/hcat_server.sh: line 91: /usr/local/hive-0.12.0/hcatalog/sbin/../var/log/hcat.out: No such file or directory
Metastore startup failed, see /usr/local/hive-0.12.0/hcatalog/sbin/../var/log/hcat.err
But there's no hcat.err file at all, I'm kind of blocked right now.
Any help would be much appreciated !
Thanks in advance,
Guillaume
I worked out that hcat was not executable in the hive installation I have downloaded.
S just sudo chmod A+X hcat and it works

Running script in FreeBSD

First steps in FreeBSD: trying to run my installation script. Fast help needed:
# ls
configure
# file configure
configure: Bourne-Again shell script text executable
# ./configure
./configure: Command not found
# configure
configure: Command not found
What is wrong, how can I execute this script?
Do you have bash installed? If not use FreeBSD Ports to install it. Use where bash to find out.
Use the force Luke :)
# pkg_add -r bash
May it be, that your's configure script doesn't have appropriate executions rights. Try to cast:
chmod 777 configure
If it works, fix it to
chmod 764 configure
configure scripts are ultra portable shell scripts. There is no need for bash here. The problem is somewhere else.
What's the first line in the configure script? Maybe a CR/LF snuck in, which is a common cause for a totally misleading error message saying that the script was not found, when it was the interpreter that was not found.
Please try /bin/sh ./configure
Install the bash package using
pkg add bash
or
make -C /usr/ports/shells/bash install clean
By default FreeBSD comes with tcsh and a POSIX compatible FreeBSD sh
On older FreeBSD systems you will need to do
rehash
before you can run it.
First line of this script (#!/usr/bin/bash, i suppose) should be changed to #!/usr/local/bin/bash.
And of course, you should have shells/bash port installed.
