Is there any way to the get the string representation of the query from CDbCriteria? For testing and debugging purposes.
You can use logging and profiling configuring your main.php like this:
'components'=>array(
'log'=>array(
'class'=>'CLogRouter',
'routes'=>array(
array(
'class'=>'CWebLogRoute',
'categories'=>'system.db.CDbCommand',
'showInFireBug'=>true,
),
),
),
'db'=>array(
'enableProfiling'=>true,
'enableParamLogging'=>true,
),
),
I spend a lot amount of time for finding the answer to this question, so thought of sharing it with you guys. Hope this saves your precious time.
As mentioned by Jon above: CDbCriteria does not aggregate enough information to construct the full query, you have to use the model class information also on which you will put the query constraints.
As the example given in Yii docs for CDbCriteria; this is how basically you use it-
$criteria=new CDbCriteria();
$criteria->compare('status',Post::STATUS_ACTIVE);
$criteria->addInCondition('id',array(1,2,3,4,5,6));
$posts = Post::model()->findAll($criteria);
Here Post is the name of the model on which you execute the query condition.
So if you want to get the text representation of the query written in CDbCriteria, you have to involve the model information also i.e. Post.
This is how you can do it -
$model = new Post();
$query = $model->getCommandBuilder()->createFindCommand($model->getTableSchema(), $criteria)->getText();
When you print the value in $query variable it prints the raw query.
Hope this helps.

I want to update a topic with a post id in Wordpress and add it to the end of the post. However, I could not run the code below. Can you help?
wp_update_post(['ID' => $posts->ID,"post_content" => "concat_ws(' ',post_content, 'SECOND')"]);
Normally, this process is done over sql with concat. But I want to use it with php.
The version that works with sql;
update test_user set descrip = concat_ws(' ',descrip, 'SECOND') where Id=2
but I want to run it with php, not sql. How should the first code be?
You can use braces or concatenation operator .
echo "qwe{$a}rty"; // qwe12345rty, using braces
echo "qwe" . $a . "rty"; // qwe12345rty, concatenation used
Also, it much better to use WP_Post class than modify data in tables directly.
Your WP instance can use some db caching layer, or some hooks for posts updating. This functionality can be
potentially broken if you work with tables directly.
$post = get_post( 123 );
$post->post_content = $post->post_content . "Some other content";
wp_update_post( $post );
I am trying to diedump the query on my index screen using this line of code:
dd(DB::table('members')->where('name', '=', 'Tycho')->toSql());
Now the problem is that when I am displaying the query on my screen I get this:
"select * from `members` where `name` = ?"
My final goal of these lines of code is that I can save offline queries and execute them when the application is online. Unless someone has a solution for this, I'll have to save the queries in a database.
You are seeing the ? placeholders as Laravel uses Prepared Statements.
See Ijas Ameenudeen's answer on another SO question which details how to add a toRawSql() macro on the Eloquent builder which will replace the placeholders with the bindings that you supplied to the original query.
This is because you are using the toSql method, you can use the getBindings method to get the values / bindings.
oneliner:
$query = DB::table('members')->where('name', '=', 'Tycho')->toSql();
// will give the raw query with bindings.
$sqlWithBindings = str_replace_array('?', $query->getBindings(), $query->toSql());
You can try this:
DB::enableQueryLog();
DB::table('members')->where('name', '=', 'Tycho')->get();
echo "<pre>";
print_r(DB::getQueryLog());
How to get Last executed query after model save, update, delete in yii.
i.e:
$model->save();
like $this->db->last_query(); in CI
Thanks
Put this on your config.php file , you can see other details along with your query ...
'db'=>array(
'enableProfiling'=>true,
'enableParamLogging' => true,
),
'log'=>array(
'class'=>'CLogRouter',
'routes'=>array(
…
array(
'class'=>'CProfileLogRoute',
'levels'=>'profile',
'enabled'=>true,
),
),
),
The simplest way to show last executed query is to make an sql error in that query! :p Give an invalid column name in query, then Yii error reporting will show that query as error, but you can see that query.
That may be a silly question, but I just can't find any answer to it.
I have a simple query like 'SELECT * FROM table WHERE (x=a AND y=b) OR z=c' and I just can't find out how to implement that in ZF2.
I found a lot of information on Predicates and Where objects, but I can't find out how to combine that information into a query consisting of AND and OR.
I'd really appreciate it if someone can point me to the right direction.
If you want to add them using AND, you can simply pass them into the select object using an array, for example:
$select->where(array(
'type' => 'test,
'some_field' => '1'
));
If you want more complex Where queries, then you can use a Where object to build up a query:
$where = new \Zend\Db\Sql\Where();
$where->addPredicate(
new \Zend\Db\Sql\Predicate\Like('some_field', '%'.$value.'%')
)
->OR->->equalTo('my_field', 'bob')
->AND->equalTo('my_field', 'hello');
$select->where($where);
I am trying to retrieve data from a simple mySql table tbl_u_type which has just two columns, 'tid' and 'type'.
I want to use a direct SQL query instead of the Model logic. I used:
$command = Yii::app()->db->createCommand();
$userArray = $command->select('type')->from('tbl_u_type')->queryAll();
return $userArray;
But in the dropdown list it automatically shows an index number along with the required entry. Is there any way I can avoid the index number?
To make an array of data usable in a dropdown, use the CHtml::listData() method. If I understand the question right, this should get you going. Something like this:
$command = Yii::app()->db->createCommand();
$userArray = $command->select('tid, type')->from('tbl_u_type')->queryAll();
echo CHtml::dropdownlist('my_dropdown','',CHtml::listData($userArray,'tid','type'));
You can also do this with the Model if you have one set up for the tbl_u_type table:
$users = UType::model()->findall();
echo CHtml::dropdownlist('my_dropdown','',CHtml::listData($users ,'tid','type'));
I hope that gets you on the right track. I didn't test my code here, as usual, so watch out for that. ;) Good luck!
