Razor vbhtml and <text> syntax - vb.net

I'm attempting to implement SlickUpload in VBHTML.
Using the C# Razor example I am getting a expression expected error.
.SelectorTemplate =
new Template(#<text> Add files</text>)
I think this is something to do with #, but I'm not sure. Is it possible to use the text syntax in vbhtml?

Just my initial guess without seeing the full code block, but the parameter to the constructor of Template should be in double-quotes.
.SelectorTemplate =
new Template("<text> Add files</text>")

Turns out you need to add a lambda expression to the new template
.SelectorTemplate =
New Template(Sub() #<text> Add files</text> End Sub)

Ignore case Xpath #Name attribute c# Selenium/Appium

I have a C# selenium/Appium project where I need to find a desktop Application window By.Xpath("").
This works:
By.XPath("//*[#Name='ASDASD']");
However, some builds of the app have the window name be "ASDasd", which causes the Xpath above to not find the window element and the test fails.
Is it possible to Ignore the case of the #Name attribute whether it be "ASDASD", "ASDasd" or something else?
I did try using the XPath translate function, but I am not able to find the element, I assume I am doing it wrong.
What I tried:
By.XPath("//*[translate(name(),'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz') = 'asdasd']")
or
By.XPath("//*[translate(name(),'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'), 'asdasd']")
or
By.XPath("//*[#Name='translate(.,'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'), 'asdasd'']")
or
By.XPath("//*[#Name='translate(asdasd,'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz')']")
Maybe some other variations too, but I could not get it to work.
Some of the examples may have invalid formatting.
While other seems to be valid but could not find the element and it would timeout.
UPDATE:
Thank you for the assistance, this worked:
By.XPath("//*[translate(#Name, 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz')='asdasd']");
However, it added 60 seconds to the test somehow, it seems to stall for 60 seconds on one of the places where it looks for the main window.
Thanks for the help!
Regards
name() gives you the name of context node. In this case (//*), the name of whatever element you are currently looking at. You meant to write #Name, i.e. the attribute that happens to be called Name.
By.XPath("//*[translate(#Name, 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ', 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz') = 'asdasd']")
Using translate() is clunky and fails when the search string contains unanticipated characters.
Unfortunately, there is no lower-case() function in XPath 1.0. But you can work around this limitation with the help of the host language (such as C#).
The following will dynamically create an XPath expression which finds arbitrary values case-insensitively:
var searchValue = "asdasd";
var uc = searchValue.ToUpperInvariant();
var lc = searchValue.ToLowerInvariant();
var xpath = $"//*[translate(#Name, '{uc}', '{lc}') = '{lc}']";
// -> "//*[translate(#Name, 'ASDASD', 'asdasd') = 'asdasd']"

behat fillField xpath giving error?

This line of code:
$this->fillField('xpath','//fieldset[#id="address-container"]/input[#name="address_add[0][city]"]', "Toronto");
Is giving me this error
Form field with id|name|label|value|placeholder "xpath" not found. (Behat\Mink\Exception\ElementNotFoundException)
The reason I want to use xpath in my fillField is because there are actually multiple input[#name="address_add[0][city]"] in my html document. I figure an xpath will let me target specifically the field I want to populate.
What's the best way to fill out just the input[#name="address_add[0][city]"] that is a descendant of fieldset[#id="address-container"] ?
You are not using the method in the wright way.
As i see here xpath is taken as selector.
The method expects 2 parameters:
identifier - value of one of attributes 'id|name|label|value'
value - the string you need to set as value
If you want to use css|xpath then you need to use find method first.
For example:
$this->find('xpath', 'your_selector')->setValue('your_string');
Please note that find might return null and using setValue will result in a fatal exception.
You should have something like this:
$field = find('xpath', 'your_selector');
if ($field === null) {
// throw exception
}
$field->setValue('your_string');
Also your selector could be written as:
#address-container input[name*=city] - this with css
or
//fieldset[#id="address-container"]//input[contains(#name, 'city')] - this with xpath
Make sure you take advantage of your IDE editor when you have any doubts using a method and you should find a php doc with what parameters are expected and what the method will return.
If you are using css/xpath a lot you could override find method to detect automatically the type of selector and to use it like $this->find($selector);
Also you could define another method to wait for the element and to handle the exception in one place, for example waitForElement($selector) that could contain a conditional wait up to 10 seconds and that throws exception if not found.

How to use DataTables fnDestroy method

I am using the DataTables plugin for jQuery but keep getting the following error when I attempt to use the fnDestroy method:
Undefined
I have tried using all of the following variants:
1)
$('#data').dataTable().fnDestroy();
2)
var dt = $('#data').dataTable();
dt.fnDestroy();
3)
var data = document.getElementById('data');
data.fnDestroy();
The 'data' object exists - The HTML is as follows:
<div class="resultset">
<table class="display" id="data">
<tbody>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
The DataTable is built with Javascript (not shown here), but the base object is hard-coded.
The API documentation shows that the second method should work:
$(document).ready(function() {
// This example is fairly pointless in reality, but shows how fnDestroy can be used
var oTable = $('#example').dataTable();
oTable.fnDestroy();
} );
EDIT
The DataTable displays fine and otherwise works well. The issue arises when I attempt to execute this function.
It seems to be the difference between...
_table = jQuery('table#fp-table-table').dataTable(); // .fnDestroy() works
and
_table = jQuery('table#fp-table-table').DataTable(); // .fnDestroy() doesn't work
DataTable seems to be for API calls back into the object and dataTable seems to be the intialisation method.
In my project I had changed the initialisation to use DataTable instead of dataTable to perform a filtering task. After this my AJAX reloads would throw the 'undefined' error, so I changed it back... i esta.
If you go to http://www.datatables.net/manual/installation and scroll towards the bottom you will see the following:
"Upgrade note:
If you are upgrading from DataTables 1.9 or earlier, you might notice that a capital D is used to initialise the DataTable here. $().DataTable() returns a DataTables API instance, while $().dataTable() will also initialise a DataTable, but returns a jQuery object.
Please refer to the API manual for further information.
Are you sure you are running your fnDestroy within document.ready?
Maybe you are getting the undefined error because the dom is not correctly loaded yet ?
It could also mean your table is incorrect, but I would have to be able to look at that to be sure.
Take a look at this fiddle, which uses your second option, and runs perfectly: http://jsfiddle.net/timsommer/m5sZU/2/
From the datables 1.10 manual:
It is important to note the difference between $( selector ).DataTable() and $( selector ).dataTable(). The former returns a DataTables API instance, while the latter returns a jQueryJS object. An api() method is added to the jQuery object so you can easily access the API, but the jQuery object can be useful for manipulating the table node, as you would with any other jQuery instance (such as using addClass(), etc.).
So you can use DataTable() but then you need to use _table.api().fnDestroy(); it seems.
You can try
table.destroy()
This works in my case

angularJS dynamic login page

My code is here: http://plnkr.co/edit/2WDK0b
Is it possible that when I enter an existing username, the message in the "help-block" span will change dynamically?
Just wrap your existing checking code in a function in the controller. Like $scope.checkUsername = function() { //your existing code }
Now on your username input put ng-change="checkUsername()" and then it will work.
Before you get too much further make sure to read the validation bits from the Angular Form's guide: http://docs.angularjs.org/guide/forms
Here's a fiddle of your code working: http://plnkr.co/edit/LwMJGq?p=preview Although I think the logic for the name checking needs a bit of work.

Setting datepicker element in Zend_config_Ini

I am trying to create form element using Zend_Config_Ini. Among other elements, I have a datepicker element (zendx_jquery_form_element_datepicker) which fails to work.
I have tried setting the element like so:
user.login.elements.Date.type = "datePicker"
and
user.login.elements.Date.type = "zendx_jquery_form_element_datepicker"
either way ends in the same error message:
Plugin by name 'Zendx_jquery_form_element_datepicker' was not found in the registry; used paths: Zend_Form_Element_: Zend/Form/Element/
or
Plugin by name 'DatePicker' was not found in the registry; used paths: Zend_Form_Element_: Zend/Form/Element/
Please help, thanks.
Just add prefix path before form config
$form = new Zend_Form();
$form->addPrefixPath('ZendX_JQuery_Form_Element', 'ZendX/JQuery/Form/Element', 'element');
$form->setConfig($config->form);
Try
user.login.elements.Date.type = "DatePicker"
The class name is class
ZendX_JQuery_Form_Element_DatePicker
I dont know how to make form using ini file. But I know Zendx_jquery_form_element_datepicker is not standed zend form element. It is make by ZendX. So you cant use it as zend element.
