Can I access the BlackBerry Javascript API from a webpage? - api

Would it be possible to, after gaining the user's permission, access the javascript API on BlackBerry devices from a mobile webapp? Sort of in the same way you can request permission from a user to access their Facebook information?
I know it's possible to create a native app in HTML5+JavaScript using WebWorks and gain access to it there, but for the solution we're building asking the user to download an app would be over-kill.

No, the stock BlackBerry browser won't allow you to access any WebWorks extensions. Javascript extensions need to be explicitly loaded by a native (Java) application into the BrowserField.
This is probably a security feature.

React Native Login Using WebAuth redirection to browser from app

when login using Auth0 Webauth in React-Native it opens the browser for login.
I want to create a smooth login so that the user should not able to experienced whether I logged in using App or Browser jut like a webview anyone any idea?
Just to be clear are you asking if Auth0 supports doing this without a browser? Given that it's likely using OAuth2 or OpenID Connect then the short answer is no.
Further to that WebAuthn is a browser-based Javascript API so by definition would require a browser with these features to be available.
That said, there's probably nothing preventing you from implementing a native WebAuthn-like experience using CTAP2 (the protocol that sits underneath WebAuthn) directly or a platform-specific wrapper around the same.

Is there a way to implement server side verification in google admob using react-native/expo and not android only?

I'm developing a expo/react-native app.
I want to use google admob inside my app (rewarded ads, videos), and verify in my server (node.js) if the user did finish the ad.
I saw in the website of google admob that there is a way to verify this in android. This is the link: https://developers.google.com/admob/android/rewarded-video-ssv
But I could not find anywhere, a way to verify it in react-native/expo app. (with node.js server).
I want to know if this is possible, and if so what is the best way to do it.

Do Native apps have access to HTML5 API's

I am building a language translation flashcard web app. I will have a PWA version on the website and then a native app in the Play Store and Windows Store.. maybe even Apple Store eventually. First time looking to build a native app or pseudo native app.
The app currently uses the Web Speech API and Voice Recognition API in HTML5. These API's have support on Chrome and Android Web Browser. It appears they are in progress for Firefox and some other browsers.
Since the best functionality of the app is built upon these browser based API's..
I am wondering if I choose to use Vue Native instead of Cordova/Phonegap, how is it possible to access these HTML5 APIs natively or is there a native solution?

Is it possible to upload files from an without asking the user to sign in?

I have a Dropbox account.
I would like to use it, so that an android app can upload photos to my Dropbox account, without the user of the app having to know my credentials to log in.
Is that possible ?
Is there a programmatic way, that I can get my app to do this, without the user of the app having to know my dropbox password ?
EDIT: I don't understand why this is down voted. If there are multiple posts asking how to do this, by different users, and it is with regard to finding a programmatic why to log in, then it is relevant and shouldn't be down voted.
Refer to this thread on dropbox forums which says that they did not include the file requests feature in their apis so its not possible through apis.
Since the native api does not support this feature you can redirect your user from your app to dropbox app to create file requests.

How to Launch/Open any other external app from hybrid app? [duplicate]

I have a requirement to open the native version of the hybrid app (.ipa/.apk/.appx) when the hybrid app is requested in a device browser.
I am able to detect the environment using WL.Client.getEnvironment(); method, if it is found to be Android/iPad, I want to launch the respective .apk/.ipa file in the device. Any help is appreciated.
Re-reading this question and the comments several times... I still do not understand the actual scenario... it'd be best to rephrase it.
Scenario: How to open an app from the web browser:
If you have added the following environments to your Worklight application:
Mobile Web
Android
iPhone
And when visiting the Mobile Web version of your app, you want to display a message like "For the full experience, open the full application by clicking here".
Then:
It is implied that the user already has the application installed.
If it is not installed, you need to take care of that somehow
The way to handle this scenario is to use URI schemas:
For Android: How to implement my very own URI scheme on Android
This means that after adding the custom URI schema to AndroidManifest.xml, you could then detect the device OS the Mobile Web app is currently running on and display a custom link: myapp://<the URI schema you've defined>. Tapping it will open the app installed on the device.
For iOS, in a similar fashion: https://coderwall.com/p/mtjaeq
Also see: http://wiki.akosma.com/IPhone_URL_Schemes
Alternate solution: If you are not sure if the app will be installed or not, then instead of using URI schemas you can always point to either Google Play or Apple App Store, to the app page; the user will then have either a "Open" or "Install" link.
Scenario: How to open an app from my own app
If you have a Worklight Hybrid application (Mobile Web is not a Hybrid application), and you want to open another application from within it, you can:
Use the same approach of URI schemas, or
Use Cordova plug-ins
I have created this Worklight 6.1.0 project to demonstrate:
Android - How to open, for example, the Android Settings app from your Worklight Hybrid app
iOS - How to check if Waze is installed and open it, and if it is not installed then to open Apple Maps instead.
See instructions.txt in the apps\test folder.
Are you asking that if the user via their device browser hits the webapp version of your app on the internet, the website will ask the user to fire up the native app on their device? kind of like what ebay does?
if that is what you want check out these pages

IOS:
