I'm facing strange error. I use Glassfish 3.1.1 withn jdk7 and since some time I can't login to admin console via web (localhost:4848), I keep getting message Authentication Failed Re-enter your username and password here are logs:

Username and password are 100% correct, I have no problem login via asadmin cmd.
I had the same issue with GlassFish 4.1, admin password for working via asadmin tool but not via the browser. The problem first came after I imported a new signed server certificate to replacing the existing 's1as' alias in the keystore.jks.
After some struggling I figured out the right solution:
sudo asadmin disable-secure-admin
sudo asadmin restart-domain domain1
sudo asadmin enable-secure-admin
sudo asadmin restart-domain domain1
Admin user authentication works again in the browser! :-)
I had this problem, and raised a bug with the Glassfish project.
It's fixed in the fresh Glassfish 3.1.2. It was released yesterday.
Just for reference of those searching for it: You don't need to install Glassfish 3.1.2 (for those using Linux distribution). The following worked for me:
Open a terminal and cd to the glassfish installation location
./asadmin stop domain domain1 (or other domains) in order to stop your glassfish server
Go to your browser and flush your cache memory (usually in the History option -> clear recent history)
Now you should be able to login to the admin console.
For those that have the default password yet, maybe you need to change it from admin console. (./asadmin change-admin-password).

I also faced the same problem with 4.0 and 4.1.1.
However, 4.1.2. appears to fix the issue. I installed it (from here), and no login details are requested.

I have downloaded Spark 2.1.0 and Apache Zeppelin 0.7.0. I have edited my environment variables for Spark, Java and Winutils (as i am using windows 10). I have edited the zeppelin-env.sh and zeppelin-site.xml to export my JAVA_HOME and SPARK_HOME. I edited zeppelin-site.xml to change the port number as 8080 was already in use. No logs are available in the logs folder. Everything is printed in the command line. The %md interpreter works as the code from "Welcome to Zeppelin" works fine after i run it.
I have tried altering the memory as per ZEPPELIN_305 and ZEPPELIN-449 on issues.apache.org. I have tried turning off windows firewall. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to ensure it wasn't an error i caused myself but nothing seems to work.
Has anybody had the same/similar problem? Any help would be much appreciated.
Your issue might be in the editing the wrong config file. Since you are on Windows 10 you want to edit the zeppelin-env.cmd (and not the zeppelin-env.sh which is intended for Linux). See the link to the Zeppelin install guide.

In HC host.xml and if we use --host-config=host-slave.xml that particular xml has to connected with DC under <domain-controller> node....

You can connect directly to the JBOSS JMX instead of the VM one (no need to modify JAVA_OPTS)
Just ensure you have the following config in standalone.xml (JMX subsystem active)

Then we need a little hack : As JBoss JMX implementation is a bit specific we need to include some jboss lib to the classpath of JVisualVM
Get the file $JBOSS_HOME/bin/jconsole.sh/jconsole.bat and copy / rename it to jvisualvm.sh / jvisualvm.bat in the same directory.
Then replace the executable call to jconsole per jvisualvm using -cp:a "$CLASSPATH"instead of -J-Djava.class.path="$CLASSPATH"
Now just launch visualVM using the script and add a new JMX connection (file menu) using the folowing url service:jmx:remoting-jmx://hostname:port (the credentials are the one of management realm)
NB: think to ssh tunnel if you don't have direct access to JMX port
If you open a command shell and type "netstat -a", do you see something LISTENING on the JMX port 1090? If not, perhaps you have to check JBOSS configuration.

How do I fix this? Suggestions? I haven't changed any of the stock configuration other than the MySQL install. The Alfresco tables were created without problems when Tomcat was started and I browsed to the Admin page at localhost:8080/Alfresco.
BTW, both Solr and Alfresco are hosted in the same Tomcat6 instance.
I tried to regen the keys as suggested by this post, but it didn't help.
Still get the same error. This must have something to do with the Server2003 configuration.
Just needed to use the version of java included with the 4.0.e windows installer. Using any other version that I had installed on the machine prevented it from working ( 6 and 7 ).
i`m trying to install some SSL certificates bought from godaddy.com. I found some tutorials like this one:

My certificates were generated a year ago for apache http server, so i followed the tutorial from step 3.

yes, i think that the problem resigns in the fact that my certificates are for apache http. I found this tutorial http://wiki.eclipse.org/Generating_a_Private_Key_and_a_Keystore that explains how to convert these certificates, but this does not seems to solve my problem eighter

You should ensure that the keystore password matches the Glassfish master password (which is not the admin password).
Here is a tutorial how to change the master password for GF 3.1
It looks like you might have either some setup issues or a known bug. Check this post out.
