I've created a rake task in my application and now I want the task to be accesible for app users from a link on a menu, but I don't know how to invoke it from there. Something like this...?

You can't do it. Link_to can link to something static or controller action. So you need to create some action, where you can invoke your Rake Task.

Problems I noticed:
Regarding to this comment and devise how-to wiki, devise_scope needs the resource name in singular (devise_for, in contrary, needs the resource name in plural).
You also have a weird get on the same line with devise_scope- it might cause the problem.
Routing mapper, from where the error is raised, also suggests that it does not find such controller. It probably tries to search a controller based on your plural form of devise_scope. OR it tries to find controller name after your extra-get keyword after :users do.
I'm building a simple todo app for some practice. I have projects which has_many tasks and tasks belongs_to projects.
So that I can display url/projects/1/tasks I'm nesting the route:

In my tasks controller I'm doing the following:

It seems on task.save when I redirect and pass in the project instance variable it redirects me to http://todoapp.dev/projects.5 (5 being the id of the project) instead of http://todoapp.dev/projects/5.
Could the problem be in my controller with the redirect_to method or possibly the nested route?

Looks like in the redirect_to in my controller I was using the pluralized version of the path. projects_path(#project) instead of project_path(#project).

This ended up working.
I have a view called, "clients" which shows a list of calls from the Call database. That works fine. However when I added a new button with a form behind it the call will be created but it redirects to calls_path instead of clients_path.
I have no idea why it's doing this, my only theory is that I'm working with actions that touch data outside of the clients_controller and somehow Rails is defaulting to the calls_path. The same thing happens on my delete action. Can someone help me make sense of this?

The problem I had was with routes. I needed a post method for a new calls. After creating two actions (one for create and one for destroy) along with their routes everything started working. It looks like it was trying to use the default routes and actions which would re-route to the wrong URL for my purposes.

I am trying to create a custom POST action for my article object.
In my routes.rb, I have set the action in the following way:

In my articles_controller.rb I have:

Then in my view I make a form like this:

The view renders (so I think he knows the route). But clicking on the submit button brings the following error message:
No route matches "/articles/28/update_assigned_video"
rake routes knows it also:
update_assigned_video_article POST /articles/:id/update_assigned_video(.:format) {:action=>"update_assigned_video", :controller=>"articles"}
What am I doing wrong?

Your form_for will do a PUT request rather than a POST request, because it's acting on an existing object. I would recommend changing the line in your routes file from this:
post 'update_assigned_video'
To this:
put 'update_assigned_video'
I have a problem with rails 3 routes.
I want add a new action called "gestion_etudiant" with a new view "gestion_etudiant.html.erb".
I have on my index page a link like this
