Root directory like this:

I want exclude sub directory /Extend and /Phprpc from the rules.
The old .htaccess file like this:

But I get 500 Internal Server Error.
Any advise?
If you want to exclude the URLs, simply filter it using RewriteCond:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/(Extend|Phprpc)/

For testing purposes, I would like to append a query string (let's say testing=true) to any url requested from my website.
E.g. I want to change
example.com
example.com/product
example.com/search?q=string
to
example.com?testing=true
example.com/product?testing=true
example.com/search?q=string&testing=true
I tried this:
RewriteRule ^/?(.*) http://example.com/$1?testing=true [L,R,NE]
but it breaks the site. Not an expert.
Any ideas?

My .htaccess file is:

It works perfectly in most cases. But if the requested url exists as a real folder, it goes crazy.
For example when i request /random it is rewritten to index.php?_url=random with status code 200, but for /static (which is an existing directory on the web server) it gives a 301 redirect to /static/?_url=static

If you want to exclude existing files and directories from being rewritten, do so with a RewriteCond

I am trying to change my .htaccess so that when i go to http://example.com/foo it re-rewrites it to my_folder, currently if i go to http://example.com/ it re-writes to my_folder.

I am guessing this question has been asked many times, but i could not find one that would perhaps give me what I need.
So.. I can access the scripts by the following url's:

Both go to index.php which parses the input (hello/world in this example).
