I am using Dropbox Api to display the list of files and folders present on it.. User can download file and view it..
I am downloading file every time .. but now i want to download file only if it is modified..
I can get date when file was updated in its metadata LastModifiedDate..
I have displayed all files in tableview and at the time of display all files i am getting metadata of all files in following function i have mentioned. And if after displaying all list any file get change I will not get latest file..I am getting the latest LastModifiedDate after file gets download..
Following method gets called when file download is complete:
- restClient:loadedMetadata:
Is there any way by which i can get it before it starts downloading? Is there any method of dropbox api which gives metadata of file before download?
If anybody wants further explanation then please let me know..
Thanks :)
Caching policies should be your friends, as far as the server is configured to support ETag.

I am stuck in a problem while building a digital business Card on wordpress, Please help me out with this problem.
Problem
I want to add an option of save the card means save the cotact details directly by just clicking/hiting that button in my digital business card, For that i also created one dedicated folder in my Database for vcf file with the name of Uploads and in this folder i also paste a php file for vcard after guidning by the chat support of hostinger but that only works for that particular vcf file whose name is mentioned in the php but also it is only downloadable not importable (means when we hit the downloaded vcf file then an message apperas Contact couldn't import) and i want to add lots of vcf file so it means i need to add php files as well.
Solution Which I know of that problem
So to achieve this we need to add that vcf file in that upload folder, which i am doing, then we can create a link which is should be like that https://domainname/uploade/vcffilename.vcf. But unfortunatelly it is not happing through this link the coded vcf file available.
Can you please guide me what the thing i am missing here so that my vcf link works properly and i can also provide the save option.

I don't want guests are able to download files (pdf, word .etc).At first users must log in to download files. How can I get information about it?
I would like to access the list of all uploads that have been added to a given project on my company GitLab server.
I don't mean versionned files, I mean attached files: binaries and other types of files that have been attached to issues, merge requests, etc.
It's OK if I have to use the API for that.
What I've tried
My first approach was through GET /projects/:id/repository/files/:file_path, but that's for the versionned files.
Then, I found out about POST /projects/:id/uploads, but that's only for uploading and not for listing already uploaded files.
Is there a way to list all those uploaded files?
I believe this is not possible.
There is an open issue for retrieving specific files which has not received much attention:
https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/55520
Hopefully, in the future, there will eventually be an endpoint
GET /projects/:id/uploads
I had the same question and after getting in touch with gitlab support they confirmed that this is not currently implemented (as of now, November 2021), and forwarded me the 3 following feature requests :
API list all files on a project : https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/197361
Attachment Manager : https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/16229
Retrieve uploaded files using API : https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/25838
A workaround seems to be to export the whole project, and you'll find the uploads in that archive, and you'll be able to list them.
I am uploading files by servlet/JSP. Now I am facing an issue about getting the created time of the uploaded file.
The problem is, when a file is uploaded to server, I get the created time and find it same as uploaded time. The file is created on server when uploading finishes...
Is it possible to get the original created time of an uploaded file?
Not directly, but you can ty this workaround. When you upload the file, get the creation time and update a README.txt file on the server. This README.txt will have entries like this:
UploadedFileName: Creation Time of Upload File
I tryed to use Mediafire API, but when I use Folder, get_info, it doesn't return file & folder array like the example.
Full url I used: http://www.mediafire.com/api/folder/get_info.php?folder_key=l461cm2d8hfxd
What's wrong with my attempt? Thank you.
You can try the MediaFire API PHP Library. This class currently implements all the functions in the Mediafire API.
Ok I just took a look at their API documentation. They've updated the get_info function for the folders. They've taken out the file tree....
So if you are uploading via the dropbox (which doesn't return the quickkey associated with the file), you CAN NEVER dropbox upload and then use the api to find the file and download it. This renders their API as useless as tits on a boar hog.
The point of a dropbox is to allow remote uploads to a folder, you then know the folder key so you can query the API and return the document quickkeys that are in the folder which then allows you to manage those files remotely, move, delete, download etc. Now you cannot do this FAIL FAIL FAIL.
Despite the Functionality of get_info not working, folder search can resolve at least some issues with retrieving quick keys. In my case i searched for ".mp3" and was handed all the mp3s in my folder
