My aggregate is not affected by ROLLUP - sql

I have a query similar to the following:
SELECT CASE WHEN (GROUPING(Name) = 1) THEN 'All' ELSE Name END AS Name,
CASE WHEN (GROUPING(Type) = 1) THEN 'All' ELSE Type END AS Type,
sum(quantity) AS [Quantity],

FROM #Table t
GROUP BY Name, Type WITH ROLLUP
I'm trying to return a list of Names, Types, a summed Quantity and a summed quantity multiplied by an arbitrary number. All fine so far. I also need to return a sub-total row per Name and per Type, such as the following
Name Type Quantity Multiplied Quantity
------- --------- ----------- -------------------
a 1 2 4
a 2 3 3
a ALL 5 7
b 1 6 12
b 2 1 1
b ALL 7 13
ALL ALL 24 40
The first 3 columns are fine. I'm getting null values in the rollup rows for the multiplied quantity though. The only reason I can think this is happening is because SQL doesn't recognize the last column as an aggregate now that I've multiplied it by something.
Can I somehow work around this without things getting too convoluted?
I will be falling back onto temporary tables if this can't be done.

In your sub-query to acquire the multiplier, you have WHERE a=b. Are either a or b from the tables in your main query?
If these values are static (nothing to do with the main query), it looks like it should be fine...
If the a or b values are the name or type field, they can be NULL for the rollup records. If so, you can change to something similiar to...
CAST(sum(quantity * (<multiplie_query>)) AS DECIMAL(18,2)).
If a or b are other field from your main query, you'd be getting multiple records back, not just a single multiplier. You could change to something like...
CAST(sum(quantity) * (SELECT MAX(multiplier) FROM ...)) AS DECIMAL(18,2))

I have the following table. basically simplified version of my table. I need to aggregate few columns, I will explain what I am trying to do and also what I have written till now.

variations can be like pizza toppings, each variation has an amount, say veggie toppings cost 10 cent and meat toppings cost 20 cents for simplicity
so now I am trying to aggregate some data for this table
I am trying to get
number of items printed (items where printed = TRUE)
number of items unprinted (items where printed = FALSE)
total cost of all items
total price of all variations
total number of unique baskets for a specific foodType
This is the query I have:

Now I get the result that I expect. I am trying to understand if we can do this without using subqueries and use only joins?
Below is for BigQuery Standard SQL and assumes that your query is really working (saying this because your data example does not exactly fit into query you provided)
So, below two subqueries
(select COUNT(DISTINCT(item.basket.id)) from tableName where itemType = "JUNK") AS baskets,
(select SUM(CASE when m.amount is NULL then 0 Else m.amount END) as variations_total from tableName, UNNEST(item.variations) as m) as variations
can be replace with
COUNT(DISTINCT IF(itemType = "JUNK", item.basket.id, NULL)) AS baskets,
SUM((SELECT SUM(amount) FROM item.variations)) AS variations
Believe me or not - but result will be the same
Row printed nonPrinted price baskets variations
1 2 2 1000 1 60
So, as you can see yo don't need subqueries and you don't need joins here either
Note: in the second row - (SELECT SUM(amount) FROM item.variations) is not really the same type of subquery as in your original query. Rather here for each row you query its array to find sum of amount in that row which is then being aggregated to total sum ...

Is there a way do dynamically set ROWS BETWEEN X PRECENDING AND CURRENT ROW?

i'm looking for a way to, on my query, dynamically set the beginning of the window function on Sql Server using ROWS BETWEEN.
Something like:
SUM(field) OVER(ORDER BY field2 ROWS BETWEEN field3 PRECEDING AND CURRENT ROW)
field3 holds the amount of items (via group by from a CTE) that represent a group.
Is that possible or should i try a different approach?

My query is too big and messy to share here, but let me try to explain what i need. It's from a report builder which allows users to create custom formulas, like "emplyoees/10". This also allows the user to simply input a formula like "12" and i need to calculate subtotals and the grand total for them. When using a field, like "employees", everything works fine. But for constant values i can't sum the values without rewriting a lot of stuff (which i'm trying to avoid).
So, consider a CTE called "aggregator" and the following query:
SELECT
*,
"employees"/10 as "ten_percent"
12 as "twelve"
FROM aggregator
This query returns this output:
row_type counter company_name department_name employees ten_percent twelve
data 1 A A1 10 1 12
data 1 A A2 15 1,5 12
data 1 A A3 10 1 12
subtotal 3 A 35 3,5 12
data 1 B B1 10 1 12
subtotal 1 B 10 1 12
total 4 45 4,5 12
As you can see, the values fot "twelve" are wrong for subtotal and total row types. I'm trying to solve this without changing the CTE.
ROLLUP won't work because i already have the sum for other columns.
I tried this (i ommited "row_type_sort" on the table above, it defines the sorting):

WHEN row_type = 'data' THEN
MAX(aggregator.[twelve])
ELSE
SUM(SUM(aggregator.[twelve]))
OVER (ORDER BY "row_type_sort" ROWS BETWEEN unbounded PRECEDING AND CURRENT ROW)

This would work OK if i could change "unbounded" by the value of column "counter", which was my original question.
LAG/LEAD wasn't helpful neither.
I'm out of ideas. Is it possible to achieve what i need only by changing this part of the query, or the result of the CTE should be changed as well?

SQL - Possible to sum rows between particular values?

my apologies if this is a duplicate but I could not find an answer to my particular question. I have a table that lists products on a sales order, and their various quantities. Some products are components for other products and are denoted so with a flag. I would like to know if there is a way to have a running total for the parent/normal items that would reset on each parent/normal item.
Here is an example of the table data and my desired output:

As you can see, I would like to reset the sum every time it says Y, only include the parent item (I could get around this as I can keep the order of the items the same, could maybe use row number). I have been trying to use Over and Partition by in order to do this, but to no avail. Let me know if this is even possible or if you need any further information.

Current representation is against 1st Codd's rule.
Rule 1: The information rule: All information in a relational data
base is represented explicitly at the logical level and in exactly one
way – by values in tables.
But I believe you can still create FUNCTION/PROCEDURE and iterate row one by one with IF statement for Y/N. E.g. you create new table, IF Y - add new row to table, IF N - add +1 to QTY to latest row.
I would create two separate tables: manufacturer & part, to get the values so you don't have to hand-jam each inventory, or care about where they fall in the invoice list.

Then, all you would need to do is compare the values to the part table to get this data. It's more work upfront, but will pay off to have this all saved and stored. A future sample query would look something like:

How do I display grouped ID's as a list with their respective values?

How do I not get all the ID's grouped, but instead listed from first to last; with all their respective values in the columns next to them?
Instead of grouping it, it should show ID 1 and its value, ID 2 and its value. EVEN if the values for the ID is the same. I tried removing the GROUP_CONCAT, but then it's only showing one ID per customfield_value?

It's working currently, but grouping the ID's and spacing them with a comma. Should just display as in a normal table/list format.
Currently it shows like this(as you can see, it's ALL the same ICOS number, but different ID's. I ONLY need to display the values WHERE the ICOS NUMBER is "duplicate"):

If the virtuemart_product_id is unique you don't need the outer count/group by as it will always be 1.

SQL : how to distinguish between different rows with same value in some field and have a separate function applied to another field

I have a query output showing a list of orders. Some orders might occupy more then one record in the query output if those orders consist of sub-orders.Each sub-order occupies a separate line in the output. There is the OrderID column which has the same value for all sub-orders in the output:
OrderID Sub-Order Price
1 1 100
1 2 50
2 1 30
3 1 50
I need to add a column "Discount" to the output and fill it by following rules:
If certain order has one sub-order - the discount is 10% of the Price
If certain order has more than one sub-order, the discount is 20% on all sub-orders'
My query is a UNION of two SELECTs.
I use mssql with ms sql studio
Use CASE and COUNT window function
