Is there any way of getting a list of, say 4, recently opened Applications? If so, how?
(Cocoa Mac)
Have a look at the LaunchServices/LSSharedFileList.h header file. Unfortunately, the functions in this file are not documented in the Xcode docs, but the comments in the file are very good. Basically, you create a reference to the list of recently opened applications by passing kLSSharedFileListRecentApplicationItems to LSSharedFileListCreate(). Then get an array of the current contents of the list with LSSharedFileListCopySnapshot().

I've searched the web for having a good resource to implement a code in objective c that is able to record a video of the screen of the Ipad while the user is doing some actions to capture his performance, but I didn't get a clue. Is there anyway to make it possible?
You can download sample from the link below provided by Apple.
https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/samplecode/AVScreenShack/Introduction/Intro.html
First of all you can only record your applications view only.
You can use the demo here iPhone Screen Capture Revisited

I would like to add metadata to mp3 files in C/Objective-C (OS X).
I found several libraries (e.g. id3lib), but I have no clue on how to compile them.
Are there any tutorials on how you can do that? Is there any other framework for C/Objective-C to write ID3 tags to an MP3 file (song name, artist and coverart)?
Take a look at the id3lib Library Documentation. It provides a quick tutorial.

It is possible to do that?
please give me a hint.
I would investigate ffmpeg, specifically libavcodec - this will allow you to convert static images in to a movie file (assuming you can get it to compile for iOS).
As far as adding to the iPod library is concerned, you aint going to be able to do that - you can read from the library from within an iOS app, but not write to it.

Does anyone know how to program a database to function as a workflow? I would like it to identify the user as they open the database and then open up their 'queue' of work. Any ideas?
Read Remou's answer to this Stack Overflow question: How do I make an Access Form automatically open to a user's data?
It may help to describe your concept of a user's queue of work.
