How to intercept incoming/outcoming sms and send it to another device or email - objective-c

I'd like to realize an application allowing to catch incoming and outcoming sms each time an sms is recived or sent and send it to another mobile or to an email address. So should I touch the mobile substrate (if yes HOW?? I didn't found anything on how to developp this kind of application)? how to catch the send/recive sms event?
Thank you

This isn't possible in a non jail broken iOS device. Just think of the implications...
On a broken device you will need to monitor /var/mobile/Library/SMS/sms.db for changes and then query it to find the messages.

Sending sms programatically to one number on windows phone 8.1

Is there any chance to send sms only to one specified phone number?
I know that it must be executed only with native text editor (SmsComposeTask or ChatMessageManager), but is it possible to block addition of another recipients phone numbers?
Thanks in advance
The answer is basically NO.
Once you open the SMSComposeTask then basically your APP does not have any control over it.
The user can change recipients or even the text.
If you do want this then : one way to overcome this would be to send the message from the server by connecting to a web service. So the SMS goes from the server and not from the phone.

How to sent a short message to a smart phone through internet?

I am in a project, from where I am facing a problem, because the user wants to sent a short message to his clients smart phone about their UserID and Password by using internet.
If you want to send email then its easily available but for text messages you have to get an API for sms sending. In many countries sms sending api's are available for free. A paid service is telephoney.
Assuming these phones are connected to a wireless provider, many phones can receive texts through email.
Here is AT&T's page on how to send these messages [Link]
There is also the issue of security though. I have no clue whether or not this would be a safe way to transmit someones ID and Password information.

PHP script to send and retrive sms from a website

I'm not sure where to begin, but got a case I need help from others where and if possible to solve.
Thing is, got a new alarm system at home, this system uses sms function so I can send a short code to my alarm asking for status if it`s ON or OFF, or i can turn it on/off from an sms.
Since both the sms number and code is strictly personal, I would not like to tell my carpenter the codes, but in the mean while he is working at my home, I can give him a login to my site, where he can see if the alarm is turned on or even turn it on/off by him self.
I would like to build me a website, that does the same.
Got a login to my site, when logged in, i would like the website to send an sms automatically, then retrieve the answer and display it on the website.
Is this even possible ? If so, anyone can past me in the right direction here ?
Thanks in advance =)
You can send an SMS from a website. Most mobile operators will gladly offer you an apropriate API.
For instance Deutsche Telekom has an API called "Developer Garden" that allows you to send SMS via a WebService and much more.
see here for an example: www.developergarden.com
Other providers may also offer such services.
you need an sms gateway ( we use these guys : http://inteltech.com.au/, but nearly any will do )
Your easiest option is to find one where you can insert SMS'es for sending via a URL, eg in our case the URL looks like this:
http://inteltech.com.au/secure-api/send.single.php?username=[user]&key=[longcode]&method=http&senderid=[id]&sms=[phonenumber]&message=[here's the message]
it's extremely simple to use. If your site handles the login otherwise, then you can use this for the rest.
Now, how to receive SMS'es is a bit tricker :)
But this provider, for example, offers you options to;
Send the reply as an email to a nominated email address.
Send the reply as an email to the original user who sent the message.
Send the reply as an SMS to a nominated mobile number.
POST the reply to your website or application . e.g. We can call a http/https request to your script
as you can see, both the email and the POST options are providing great ways to integrate.
I'd say if you don't handle incoming email already, then stick to the POST method.
voila :)

IOS implementation of simple messaging system (client/server) between clients

i've been looking around to find a simple library or a client/server sample code for implementing a messaging system between users of my IOS clients app and a REST server. I would need that each user has an incoming and sent messages view. This view would display the conversations grouped by user. For example, using a table view where each cell represent a thread between the 2 distinct users, selecting a user's conversation it would push a new view that would display all the messages between the two users.
I have to say that i didn't found much, this is a mix of libraries and front ends:
an XMPP objective-c library: https://github.com/robbiehanson/XMPPFramework, but i don't really want an IM behavior
Acani chat, https://github.com/acani/AcaniChat seems promising but waiting for the acani chat server, i could use the front end
another chat https://github.com/honcheng/iOS-nodechat
MailCore, an IMAP api for objective-c: https://github.com/mronge/mailcore . i would need to relay on a mail server, create emails for each user and ... too much!
too bad there isn't any iMessage API
dont want to send a SMS or an email
push notification it's not a must to start
maybe coding a simple REST service for publishing and retrieving messages to and from a user would be the best approach? i'm i missing something?
thanks!!

how to handle multiple devices when using Push Notification?

I am developing an application in which I want to use push notification service. I have a server, now I want to know that
How do I handle multiple devices?
Is there a unique device id/name for every iphone?
Suppose I want to delete request for a specific device token, so how do I handle multiple users?
Is there a way I can generate unique name for every device through application?
You should really read the APNS documentation, this is all explained in depth there.
The short answer is that when you launch an app on the phone it requests a push notification key from the OS. You then take that key and send it back to your server. Your server uses that key when it sends a push via Apple's servers to indicate the devices to send the push out to.
The service just gives you a token. If you want accounts or device names you need to come up with them and store them with the credentials on your server.
You handle multiple users by same way you handle single users, you send message with the appropriate key to the service.
As for deleting a request, you can't. It is like a text message, there may be some latency before hits the device, but the moment you commit the push it could be delivered instantly.
