Best Java library for accessing Camera (JMF alternative) - camera

I would like to access a camera attached to my system. basically i would like to capture an image using the code retirieve the image. can someone suggest me a good framework. I went through JMF, but it was last updated 7 years ago. FMJ also lacks proper documentation. Is there any framework available which is good and has good userbase?

Xamarin Forms - How to get camera stream and play with it?

Since a while, but without success, I'm trying to achieve a cross-platform solution that makes me able to use a custom camera with custom functionalities. However, no one on the internet seems to get it done over each platform (Often, only Android & iOS are implemented, but no UWP) and I still don't understand why...
I've been searching for the past months how to make something, like a service, a dependency service like, from which you can get the stream/frames of the camera. Once you get it, be able to put it into an Xamarin.Forms.Image.
The principle of this conception would allow developers to implement functions, inside of the dependency service, such as taking video or taking pictures from the native stream camera.
You could say "But you can already use NuGet as Xam.Plugin.Media from James Montemagno.". Yes, but with his package, you call the native built-in camera so you can't implement your own design or your own functionalities..
So my question is: "Does someone has any tips or any project that can help to realize this project/idea?". If I can make it work, then I will create a project on my public GitHub, in order to help future people who would like to realize it.

Is there a way to use text-to-speech directly in bb10

I want to generate some text from my bb10 app to give audio feedback to the user.
(But the screenreader like in the accessibility feature is not sufficient)
Has anybody already successfully got text-to-speech implemented?

I had to check to make sure it was written in C++ which it is. It is called ESpeak. I heard about it nearly 7 years ago when I was looking for a speech synthesizer that was powerful/robust enough to sound like a human. I believe it was ESpeak, and back then it was a complicated task to get it to spew out realistic sounding speech.

ASIHTTP equivalent for OSX

Im looking to upload xml files to a php server that range from 1mb to 50mb. As far as I can tell ASIHTTP was the code to use back in the day but Im looking for a newer framework to work with.
The ASIHTTP website recommended AFNetworking, but I was wondering if there were any other good ones out there I should look into. Im VERY new to cocoa programming and have started off learning with ARC enable so something compatible with that would be ideal also.

Right now AFNetworking is the best choice. I've used it and it's pretty good. I recommend it!
If you're looking at recommendations that are a few years old suggesting you use a third party library, you might consider taking a second look at what the OS itself provides. NSURLConnection still isn't the best solution for everyone, but it's improved much over the last few iOS & OS X releases.

How to create UI tags in Cocoa Objective-c?

I'm looking into building a tagging feature in my Mac app. I would like to do something like in the attached image. Is the UI portion offered natively in Cocoa? If so, what is the class name?
You can use NSTokenField to accomplish that. Start by reading Token Field Programming Guide.
I had to do exactly that a couple of weeks ago. I decided to use NSTokenField as well but ran into quite a number of problems. See my endeavours here. Hope you fare better with your implementation as it gave me a couple of really short nights....

Where to get sample Code for titanium code?

I am just a beginner in Titanium and searching for few sample source code to learn from and run. Downloading and working with kitchen sink or with the API is a big pain, to understand as well as to work with.
Although everything is there in both and they have given sample but that seems like not an implementation. I just want to have some source code to learn how, when and where to use the elements? How things work, how are they integrated etc.
