Adobe Air HtmlLoader - quietly failing - air

Hi I am trying to load page into Air using the htmlLoader class. What event listener will I need to attach to the HTMLLoader class in order for it to notify me when the page can not be loaded.
Any help much appreciated

The only event fired directly from the HTMLLoader that appears to be error handling is:
uncaughtScriptException
Signals that an uncaught JavaScript exception occurred in the HTMLLoader object.
however when you call send and pass along a URLRequest you should be able to add listeners to the Loader, from an example in the docs, this should be good enough:
dispatcher.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);
dispatcher.addEventListener(Event.OPEN, openHandler);
dispatcher.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, progressHandler);
dispatcher.addEventListener(SecurityErrorEvent.SECURITY_ERROR, securityErrorHandler);
dispatcher.addEventListener(HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_STATUS, httpStatusHandler);
dispatcher.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler);
in your case I'm guessing you'll need to use the HTMLLoader instance's loaderInfo property and add the listeners there.

Vue: Showing that the function does not exist when I have defined it the relevant store

I am currently working on a simple app to store workout routines in Nuxt 3 and Appwrite. The link to the source code is here.
After logging in and adding in some workouts in the app's UI, whenever I try to call the deleteWorkout function, I get an error in the console saying that the function is not defined, whereas I have clearly defined in the workoutStore. I can't seem to figure out the reason for the same.
The same can be seen in the given screenshot.

Most probably the error should be originating from either /pages/workouts.vue, /components/WorkoutDetails.vue or /stores/workout.js.
I am using Appwrite to manage the back-end of the web app, and the instructions to setup the same can be found in the README.md. (Though I don't think the error I am facing is related to the same.)
In your code the problem is, you declear your deleteWorkout() function outside of the actions block in workout.js file.
Make sure all your functions in the workout store are inside the actions block. Then it will be accessable from the vue component

navigationservice.navigate not available on the vs2013 project

I have two page application and the main page is default is "MainPage.xaml" and the second one is "AddPerson.xaml" when user click a button on main page I want the app to take user to "AddPerson" page.
And I wrote following for the Click event of the button
Me.Frame.Navigate(System.Type.GetType("AddPerson.xaml"))
and I am getting the following error
An exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in MedicineSchedule.exe but was not handled in user code
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.
I tried other method of navigationservice.navigate which I cannot find the class in VS2013 express at all. The only method available is Me.Frame.Navigate in my project, please let me know how I can get this simple thing to work.
If it was .net 2.0 I would simple called new form with form.lod or something similar.

How to display BlackOil in Petrel Function Window programatically

How do you display the Oil/Water/Gas components of a BlackOil domain object programatically on the FunctionWindow? I tried calling FunctionWindow.ShowObject on BlackOil.OilPhase but received an error that it could not be found on the input tree.
I need to say sorry here, but this is the bad case when you can get an programmatically access to the object via FluidFunctionCollection (you can create/update it), but you cannot get access to the same object via InputTree interface (you will receive an UnknownEntity via GetType method when try to navigate from Petrel UI to this object type and send it to your plug-in (doesn't exposed for Ocean from this site yet)), and by this reason you cannot display this object programmatically. I submitted an internal ticket for your case.

How to know if QLPreviewController successfully loaded a document/failed to load it?

My iOS app loads a variety of documents using QLPreviewController. My aim is to set a flag if the document loaded properly and show an error if it didn't.
Curiously the QLPreviewControllerDelegate protocol offers no callback to check this, nor does the QLPreviewController seem to throw any exception when I try to load an invalid file.
For the record, I tried loading an invalid PDF and it simply logged a message about not being able to find the header and displayed an empty file.
Can anyone please tell me how I can figure this out?

If establishing whether an item could be displayed beforehand works for you then a call to the following may be an option:

CAsyncSocketEx + console application ?

I have console applicaiotn that currently uses CAsyncSocket.
I need to implement SSL so after some searching I found this project: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/3915/CAsyncSslSocketLayer-SSL-layer-class-for-CAsyncSoc
For some reason same simple code that works fine on GUI code does not work in console app.
Has anyone exp. with CAsyncSslSocketLayer ?

CAsyncSocketEx uses a window as a sort of cheap thread to handle the event notifications that come from select(). Unfortunately, if you don't have a message loop, then the window which it creates will not receive these events.

This article explains that a call to CreateWindow() needs to be called from a thread which has a message loop. And if you don't, then anything sent via PostMessage() won't get there.
I've recently started to tinker with this -- I want to remove the annoying hidden window and replace it with a normal thread. Their code relies on WSAAsyncSelect() in order to receive socket events... to a window. Yuk!
It's been a while since I had the same problem, but if I remember correctly, to use CAsyncSocket in a console app you need to add something like DECLARE_CONSOLEAPP (first two links shown below) to your console app. This should give your console a message pump to generate the socket notifications (OnReceive, etc.) GUI apps have these pumps but console apps don't, generally. The third (msdn) link below might also apply, it has more info and a different way.
If these still don't work, you should put breakpoints in your socket code and make sure your socket isn't instantiated in a thread or callback other than the main console app (the one that now has the message pump).
I think googling around for 'CAsyncSocket WinApp' or 'CAsyncSocket console app' would show more.
